I come here a lot man. It's one of my favorite channels on youtube. I use it for inspiration sometimes to try to find some songs I might not have thought of for the Ukulele. Our channel is primarily dedicated to the teaching of Ukulele, but we try to teach some songs people might not think would work on the Uke, and I got a lot of ideas from you. Pretty sure the intro and 1st two verse lines are Am7 to D6. Also, in the first chorus the chord after the E7sus4 is
E7, not Em7. Having listened to and played this song many times, this is wha I hear. Listen to the song yourself for
that E7sus4 - E7 change. I don’t believe it’s an Em7. And what a great song it is, too.
I did this years ago when I first started the channel. It is time to do and update and I am sure that I will hear something that I did not hear before lol! Thanks so much for watching!

I just listened to it and Dm7 - Em7sus4 - Em7 is correct.
@@hienvu1714 There’s no such chord as Em7sus4 as far as I can tell. It’s E7sus4. Published charts have the change as both E7sus4-Em7 and E7sus4-E7. The D chord in
the intro and verses is a 1st position D6, though some sites have it as a straight D chord. That’s what I hear, and I did my homework on the charts and fake book ver-
sions. Eric Blackmon does a nice job of breaking down songs, and he hears the change as E7sus4-Em7. I just don’t hear it that way; I hear E7sus4-E7. It’s a tricky lis-
ten and an ambiguous chord, for sure. It could also be that the guitar plays one chord while Carole, on piano, plays the other. Ain’t music grand? Love this stuff.

The 6/9 sounds a little jazzier than playing a Dmaj6 , I’d probably play a D6 in open on acoustic and use the 6/9 w electric, someway in the riff or solo, both sound good and are essentially correct as rain that falls down not up. As soon as I figure out damn GarageBand ( computer skills are pitiful), analog guy,. I could show ya what I mean, or show myself, just an idea, always got to try ideas, ideas are dreams, performance reality. Record record!! I just want to record, have those fancy amps available, a reel to reel is easier for this guy, but need to figure out how to play remotely w other players all over. The new normal? Maybe , need GarageBand lessons, 7th gen iPad ya know? Probably get what you pay for , the free app ain’t all that seemingly, I probably don’t use it right.

Eric, well those dogs changed the key to Gm, but failed to tell me. I can transpose that on the fly , but had to go home and work out decent voicings(F maj 7th and Cmaj 7th ,for example, fall right of the neck if you take it down 2 notches) It flows better in am. There's some good "Kings" in music. Have you heard of Marcus King?
His dad and I were in the 9th grade together in high school(he turned me on to Led Zepplin). He and I traded licks for years. I shared R&B with him and he shared rock with me. Marcus and I competed in Guitar Center's King Of The Blues contest and he KICKED MY BUTT! So yes, I know Marcus.
