- Trying out some trout fishing tips and techniques. I was fly fishing for trout on at Coltsford mill in Oxted. I offer some trout fishing tips for beginners and a fun fishing vlog for anyone who is interested!
Tried several fly patterns including shrimp,damsel fly,daddy long legs, caddis larvae and a white lure trimmed with orange which was the successful fly accounting for several lost fish many takes and two landed rainbows.

If thats where im thinking I used to love going there, not been for 8+ years. Has it a smaller lake split in 2. Had my p. b there, orange always nailed them. Nice to see something different from sea fishing 👍👍
Yes same place and orange still works and go here occasionally as makes a break from the sea and close to where I live cheers fellow 👍👍🎣🎣

Thanks fellow you are at the end of the videos so I better get cracking and as I have said earlier am of fishing day after tomorrow with the new idea for getting baits out 300 metres plus and video will be up on Tuesday. Watch this space 😀😀😀😀

Hi Michael really good to have met you and without that fly you gave me would have been a blank. Really appreciated it and yep a nice place to fish with good staff. Makes a huge difference having friendly people around. Will take your advice and join club as I do have a wee bit of time on my hands now 😀😀😀🧑✈️✈️
Now this did bring back many memories of my times at bewl water down on the nose! So Paul how about fly fishing for bass sometime? That's got to be a good fight... ..

Good to see you back Paul. I've not fished Coltsford for at least 20yrs despite living nearby myself. Been busy dusting off my fly gear and tying new "bugs" ready for this year on Bewl/Hanningfield/Draycote/Rutland etc. If and when this covid clears it would be good to wet a fly with you one day - tight lines matey

Hi Steve, same to you chap Happy new year. Have been trout fishing for a wee while but still learning. All a bit grim now we are in another lockdown and only allowed out for exercise and not recreation so fishing on hold for a while. Glad all good with you and likewise stay safe and thanks for the kind comments much appreciated in these dark days. Cheers Paul and now I am beginning to miss the whiting .......

Nice video, new to the channel. What do you use to record your audio, the sound was perfect 👍
Hi much appreciated you watching and am going slowly mad in this lock down. I use a wireless system made by comica CVM WS50 as I can move about without being tethered and cuts out wind noise. It has a receiver and a transmitter and is good up to about 60 foot. A load of channels to chose from as it will get interference if others nearby using wireless comms. Works on iPhones and video recording kit. Cheers Paul
