Nice to hear your enthusiasm. I am picking up my GT Explorer next week. Have sat on one but not tested. Being mid 60s, and ridden many bikes 80cc thru to 2300cc l have no doubt it will be suitable. I am fascinated by the electric wizardry that has appeared in the last couple of years.
Thanks for a really good review. For us who have been driving for many years and and are not so interested in every detail, millimeter, weight and 0-100 km/h is this kind of story so much better. Drivning is about feeling and that is exactly what you are giving us😃👍 perfect, and thank you for this (excuse my English)🙃 Bets from Sweden 🇸🇪
Thank you 🙏 super glad you enjoy my fellow biker enthusiasts review. Greetings from Germany right now. I’m from South Africa but on route to the World Ducati Week in Italy 🇮🇹 going to share that too 😎🥳
I have a 2020 1200 (the off-road biased pro version) - Puig sells a good aftermarket taller wind screen - I'm 6'3" (191 cms), need more protection, and I hate the visual distraction of the clip-on mechanisms. It's telling that they optioned up the windscreen on that demo bike by adding the clip-on. Seems like a taller screen as standard is in order.
For normal riding , touring, even fast flowing bends they are perfect. If you are an extreme rider on road then you will complain. For me and adventure biking Superb 👌
@@route21garage that's good to know. I think the question for me then is if the extra 20mm in height makes it harder to manage...especially with a pillion.
Yes, I like the look and feel of the rally explorer as that gives you the incredible range when touring. We here in SA have some awesome backroads, countryside with long distances where there are no filling station.
@@route21garage I probably wouldn't go for the bigger tank version as the range for 20l tank is pretty generous anyway and I don't want the extra weight.
I rode the 900 GT Pro and the 1200 GT Pro back to back. 900 first and was super impressed but then was blown away by the 1200. I'm no expert but it just felt more sure footed and the performance was intoxicating. I got straight back to the dealer and ordered the 1200 GT Explorer and have now had it 2 weeks and have just done a mini tour on it. It's fantastic. Good luck with whatever you choose. They are both great bikes.
Lane splitting at speed is asking for an accident, IMHO. What's the probability one of those drivers is a teen texting her bestie about the party tonight? As for the Tiger 1200, I'm way interested. I'm also looking at the 2022 Africa Twin AS-ES with DCT. The shaft drive on the tiger is definitely a draw in my opinion.
Sometimes when testing I remove them as I feel more connected to the bike and want to experience the vibrations. You will see in 99% of my videos I always do and promote safety however this is a risk I am personally willing to take upon myself
It does share parts with the last bike, the switchgear! 😁

Congratulations 🥳 and many happy miles 🙏 You will LOVE this bike!!! One of my absolute favorites I’ve ever tested!!

Truly an adventure, such performance... so good on the eye💯

I totally agree with you on that clip-on extension! That black clip is exactly in my line of sight at my height 6ft
When are you going to review the GT Pro?
As soon as they have a demo bike for me. Hopefully in the next few weeks
Any vibrations felt on the foot pegs and handle bar?? Great review sir 🙌
Thank you 🙏. Yes but not uncomfortable, I would rather call it good feedback and feeling through them
@@route21garage Awsmmmmm….thanks a ton and stay blessed 🙌🙌
I wouldn’t worry about the vibrations when it comes to this bike. I barley notice it my self. I don’t even think about it.
I'm tossing up between this rally and the gt. How are the tyres on this rally on the road? Less sure footed or only worse at the extreme?

Just bought a Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. Beats my BMW R1200 GSA and KTM Super Adventure S.
Congratulations 🎉 and many happy miles 🥳
@Falcorianism Don't go really go off-road, just the occasional dirt track. I am 6'-2". I have the seat set in the highest position (880mm).
So which would you buy? I'm guessing rally.

Great insight to both bikes. Still trying to work out 900 or 1200, then Rally Pro or GT Pro
Thank you 🙏
You have to testride them 💪
Good luck

1200 all day 🏍💨😎

Eyes Only, lane splitting is very dangerous, but when done safely and cautiously can be amazing benefit to a rider.
Loud pipes save lives? You lost credibility with that.
With you been a man who rides a powerful motorcycle,I’m disappointed your not wearing gloves 👎
