Hats off to you for riding this Kate. I’m 6 ft tall and 200lbs and I could barely touch the ground sat on this beast. I’ve yet to see any other models than this one. Yet my Triumph Dealer has no Tiger 900’s in stock for the rest of the year in Canada 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I’m heading to NW India with work for 3-6 months so hoping to see plenty of Royal Enfield’s while I’m there see if I can get a ride in there…but I hear driving is a little scary 😂😂😂

I have a triple black GSA as well, and find the comparison with the new Triumph very interesting. Triumph clearly did their homework with this complete redesign.

I went for the pro GT with seat on its highest setting I find it easier to get my feet down than my previous ride an 18 V Strom 1000 (pegs were exactly where your feet needed to go). The ride is very plush, and very adjustable. Agree the dash can be a bit laggy, I get some turbulence around the head at 183cm and yes they ain’t light bikes, all in all though I’m very pleased with mine - good review 👍

Bizarre, sat watching the video thinking those roads look familiar then you dropped\in a location name and I had the Ah ha ! moment. Good video thank you. Test road the 1200 when it came out but only got a 20 minute ride and the bike was almost too good. Personal thing but I bought a Gen 3 . Cheaper more rough edges but more character. Confession thought I've owned 3 triumphs since my first VFR. The Sprint was the bike of my dreams when released in 2005 and had no cash bought mine around 2009 and still have it. The triple appears to be in my blood! Ride safe all.

Kate enjoyed your first impression on the Triumph, you do make me smile though with your equine analogy's when you first mount the bikes, this one being a Shire horse, and you certainly are a rain magnet, one minute blue sky then tipping it down, don't know about how Triumph have messed with the triple though it sounds proper agricultural with that T plain crank, I know it's supposed to have low down grunt like a twin, but to me a triple should be silky smooth. Interesting vid as usual, I've a versys 1000 as my holiday bike (as I call it) , I've wondered why manufacturers make what is basically a road bike so tall, surely they can make them still look like an adventure bike but not as tall, if you get what I mean. If its a true adventure/off road bike then yes they need to be tall for ground clearance, but if road biased do they need to be so tall. Maybe the bmw gs low is the way to go, I've never tried one.I don't like just a low seat option, it makes your knees too bent. 👋Eee oop, it's a bit or rum do that no-one in England waves. My previous Triumph was a Tiger, and the weight of it scared the 💩 out of me. It sounds as if they have lowered the CoG on the modern Tigers. I recently took delivery of a gorgeous Goldline Speedmaster, and while the Silas Marner in me balked at paying roughly 1500 extra NZ pesos for the paint-job, the arty-farty snot in me couldn't resist its looks. It's been raining cats and dogs this week but I've spent many happy hours in the garage, gazing at it.
I'm finding my feet again after a few years of being matrimonially sanctioned from messing about on bikes. One of my beloved wife's final instructions to me was to continue to live a joy-filled life. Even though she's now with the Lord, who am I to disobey her? I am venturing up and down the street until I find my feet. (I can only see them when I sit in my recliner.) My Dart screen arrived this morn..er.. it's 2AM so it's yesterday morning, and I'm having floorboards fitted too.
With a land area comparable to the UK but only five million of us, there are plenty of lovely country roads with really neat bendy bits. You'll be pleased to hear that we have nice juicy bugs too.
I really like your ridey-commentaries. It's great to ride vicariously, and good on you for keeping to the speed limit, wot! Also, well done for debunking the myth that bikies have to sport bushy beards. Love your upbeat style, and your accent reminds me of Cilla Black. Loved your James Blunt rendition too!
    Ride long and prosper. 🖖

@@UsernameKate She's brilliant. I can tell that it will have a lot more gruntiness than my old America, with that 1200 Bonny engine. I'm using it as an incentive to get my back sorted. Once I'm up and riding further afield, I'll be sure to post some of the excellent rides we have here. Hopefully I'll be able to set my Go-Pro so that you folk in the Northern Hemisphere will be able to view my Down Under video the right way up.🥸
I'm loving the looks of this bike, and don't really miss having to prime the old Amals. After fifty-odd years, I'm almost used to having the gear change on the wrong side. Once I'm riding further afield than the end of the next street, I'll be sure to post some nice footage of some of our bendy bits. We have lots of them.😀

    • @UsernameKate

It's a preference but I have little lungs so when my visor is open, bizarrely it helps me breathe a bit easier. Trouble is, I feel naked without one now haha! 😄

I don't think us bmw riders want a triple engine. It revs higher and makes less torque. And has the weight higher up. Even when a boxer falls over it doesn't fall that far.
