Footpeg Diaries Quickie - Triumph Tiger 1200 Launch.
The look of the Triumph Tiger 1200 instantly impressed us from every angle, it is a beautifully designed bike with deliberate features that makes it stand out from the rest. In the presentation it sounded amazing on paper but the true test came when we got to ride it.
The 21" front wheel, the much lighter weight and just the way the bike feels small and nimble below you when we took it for an extensive off-road test, ticked a lot of boxes...
Yes, we ride a little harder off road than the average guys and the suspension bottomed out over whoops. That had us fiddling around with the suspension settings to try and get the right setup combinations with some success. Then again... the average adventure rider will find the suspension more than ample, as you're actually not supposed to launch over jumps with a big capacity Adventure bike.
The tech is impressive. It boasts enough digital aids and electronic systems to excite the most ardent gadget fan.
Lastly there is the price. You would really have to convince us as to why someone should pay more for another product to possibly get less...
There is now another very worthy competitor in the market when you are considering a shaft-driven big adventure bike!
Triumph got it right here, very well thought out and deliberate in the approach, and market segment!

Gents I'm feeling a little wronged after watching this, we all know the Triumph is indeed a English motorcycle,
So where might I ask was my launch invite considering I am indeed the Englishman,
Not impressed don't let it happen again 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡👍👍
Got to agree on the views on the 900 being a more off road orientated, not sure on shaft drive on the 1200 for off road play time, potentially a lot to go wrong on a shall we say eventful ride,
