The son was the guitarist for the band, he wrote the song for his dad. His callsign/nickname was Rooster. Thank you for this reaction. Was 82nd from 99 to 02, i just barely missed Kuwait and Iraq. Lost friends though. More after the fact.
I've seen two good friends die in front of me. I was shot at once and have been robbed twice. That said, it's nothing compared to war. I feel for the boys who have actually been in danger.
Amen❤ For you to be a Vietnam vet i would have never recommended for you to watch this one. Anyone that wasn't there has no idea.❤❤❤ God bless you and thank you for your service. I know someone who served in Vietnam. He pushed through in life but he surly is still haunted by it. Ken Bowie...maybe you served with him.
I grew up listening to my grandfather's my uncles and my older brother talk about ww2,korea,vietnam,panama, Somalia, and desert storm then when 9/11 happened it was my turn to go

I served during the Vietnam war but not IN Vietnam. I was stationed on the east coast of North America.
Great reaction and couldn’t agree more.
Also thank you for the prayers at the end.

I'm so sorry for what you went through 😢❤
It's sad to find our now that the trigger for the war in Vietnam was a false flag. We had zero reason to be there.
It actually wasn't.www.vvfh.org/index.php/myths-lies/41-myth-6
