Okay thank you! I think you’ve answered my question as to why my jolly ranchers were getting sticky prior to dipping. I could never get mine to a fine powdery substance.
once your candy is crushed up add it to the freezer & take out right when your about to dip .. i’ve always heard adding a tablespoon of corn starch but haven’t tried that yet
@@kimberlynavarro2913I use powdered sugar with my jolly ranchers. And keep them in them freezer till I’m ready to use them. I also store the left over in the freezer till next time.
I keep trying to make them & the candy dipping mixture never comes out right because it’s always gooey , am I boiling it for too long ? I’m not sure what to do
I’ve been making them for about a month now and using the 4:1:1 recipe. It’s so thick and I waste so much because i can’t get through and order before it’s hard 😫. I’m going to try yours today!!

Thank you! ♥️ When you return it back to the heat, you wanna make sure that your outing it on low to medium heat and not medium high. Also make sure you don’t leave it unattended while it’s reheating. I’ll try to make a video about reheating candy soon!

Have you done popup shops with candied grapes/pineapples/strawberries? If you have did you take a mini fridge/freezer? I want to do a popup shop but just thinking about how the candy will break down lol
Hi love your video!! I have one question after I coated the grapes everything was fine then after 40 mins liquid candy started forming in the bottom of the container is that normal or am I doing something wrong ? Please help thank you
Hey! We're your grapes room temperature when you dipped? Did you make sure there were no abrasions on the grapes before you dipped? Any opening in the grapes or splits can cause liquid to break through the candy.
GIRL HELP ME! I have an order for tomorrow and a couple days ago I made my candy grapes with your recipe and they melted a little the next day! I put them in the fridge so I don’t know what I did wrong. I’m crying! I can’t give that to my customers! How do you keep them from melting over night? If I put them in the freezer overnight then grapes will be frozen! I need tips!!!
Hello! Please, if you can, make them the same day you give them to your customer. They will naturally start to break down if i make them the day before, i make them at night and store them in the freezer and put them in the fridge the next morning. Sweet Connection is another good person to watch, she freeze her grapes until customers need them, hope this helps someone
If you have any moisture at the bottom of your blender, it will do that. If not, you need to place your crushed jolly ranchers into a ziplock bag IMMEDIATELY after blending. You cannot sit them in an exposed bowl because the air will make it stick together. You don’t want to pour them into a bowL until right before you start dipping your grapes.
It really depends on the size of your grapes. I have a video talking about how many grapes can fit into each container and how many you can make with one batch of candy, on my channel ♥️
That means that your candy did not reach the hard crack stage. This has happened to me when my pot wasn't any good. Although the thermometer says 300°, the candy didn't evenly cook. Which with give you that uncomfortable bite. Next time, put some cold Walter in a bowl or cup and add some of your candy mixture in the water to see if it's actually at the hard crack stage.
