Reliability is bulletproof. 4 years and counting with zero issues. Absolute riot to pilot.
I have only ever heard the opposite when it comes to this car and brand. Glad to see someone with the opposite view!
So u think this is a good option? Either the TI sport for not spend too much $?
Italian junk . Give it another 2 yrs and you will be crying when the warranty is up and you have a blown engine.
Bulletproof my ass, one of the least reliable performance cars of all time.
@@nickvin7447 we've been driving alfa's for 20 years in the family, no issue to report. my 2022 giulia will be delivered in 2 weeks time and i'm super excited.
“We don’t wanna pull a vehicle virgins” too good!😂
What did he do lmao?
@@kmat31 he destroyed rob dahm’s hood bc he drove off when it was still open
@@rohansingh494 oh 💀
@@kmat31 It actually was a pretty big drama in the car community back then, as mentioned above he shut the (carbon fiber) hood but didn't lock it properly, did a pull and destroyed the thing. He told Rob that he'd pay for it (thankfully being a millionaire's child plus a pretty big youtuber wouldn't have impacted him too much). Time passed and Rob had to ask him about it, to which he basically replied that it happened x months ago and now was part of the past. Sadly getting used to others trying to scam him, Rob decided that he'd get his money back thanks to a video explaining the situation. A few days after that Parker surprisingly (sarcasm) decided to come back to life, pay him and apologize.
@@vuri3798 Oh, wow!
This is so calming idk why. Like these two just talking while the engine is revving
Finally you guys got around to the Giulia QV. I’ve been waiting! Too bad about the nasty weather - this Alfa deserves to be given a good workout over twisty roads. Love this car, so much character… so lively.
That color is dope - reminds me of “Tiger Eye Pearl” color on the TL Type-S … definitely phenomenal! 🔥
Right? Volvo did this on a C-70 coupe about 25 years ago. Good color.
Interesting about Alfa Romeo: ruclips.net/video/bzgEpT99FcE/видео.html
@@2steaksandwiches665 I really liked the C70 when it came out back then; interesting though I sadly don’t recall seeing it in that color. *goes to Google*
@@donteadoss I think Acura also did one on the TL like 15 years ago.
Spot on my brother...
My family's been running a 2.0 280hp Q4 for 3 years now and it's so good we extended the lease, main reliability problem that actually occurs often (European market at least) is alarm going off randomly which is a sensitivity problem very easily adjusted at a dealer, no problems except that. Amazing cars with incredible handling even in non-QV versions. The "normal" 4 banger turbo also has surprising amounts of soul, gearbox is as amazing as in the QV minus the brrt noises, steering is also incredible - Ferrari like fast, precise and light. Honestly smiles per gallon nothing comes close to Giulias. Also it might or might not like to do incredibly predictable and controllable slides out of intersections in the wet... TC on, AWD and all :))
You've got to get your hands on a Volvo!
Love this car. One of my dream cars. So happy you got around to reviewing one.
YES!! You finally got being the wheel of one of these Alfas. I have been waiting. Absolutely love these. Dream car.
this car literally gives me goosebumps, alfa is the ultimate everyday driver car.
Man that V6 Twin-Turbo sounds good and the shifts are crisp
perfect interior, steering w, cluster and paddles on point
The best in the segment, its pure art
Absolutely. Nothing is even close in person.
When TheTopher said “The Italians have the best pedals”, I really agree with that.
I really like how this car looks incredibly expensive but actually isn’t too bar
I've been lucky enough to call a Rosso Comp. Quadrifoglio as a daily driver and it's everything people say it is and then some, NOTHING feels quite like the Quadrifoglio... it's the closest you'll probably ever get to a Ferrari sedan and it's very easy on the eyes and ears while at it.
On the side of reliability, I feel there's this one article (you know which one) that single-handedly tarnished this amazing vehicle, don't know what happened there, maybe shit maintenance maybe a lemon, maybe a bit of both.
It's no Toyota, sure... but it's actually as, or more reliable than most of its competitors (M3 / AMG 63s) and no one bats an eye about how "scary" it is to own one and 99% of the issues are tied to the crappy battery it comes with that can be replaced. Don't believe me? Just go to Giulia forums and ask real owners... Or don't - and we get to appreciate one of the best cars ever made ;)
was hoping the reputation would allow me to get into one 😂😂😂
@@AS-oo4gv You'd better hurry, Stellantis is about to kill the platform and it's just gonna go up in value after that.
@@RBCCM_YT you gotta be kidding me. It’s gonna be at least 3 years before I can get kne
M3 is definitely way more reliable than this is & the numbers back it up. I’d still rather have the QV though.
I just have the 2.0 turbo 4 Giulia, but mine has been very reliable. And you can get very reasonable extended warranties through Mopar. They're freaking awesome cars.
I got one too totally agree on this
is it a big difference on price w the 4 cylinder & the 6?
@@os2ss484 really big price difference ofc think 3 series vs m3
@@PianoSkillBoy Are these reliable to buy used and out of warranty?! I noticed the QV depreciate like crazy, and was wondering if getting a used one would be worth it!
@@ntwalipat2 I wish I knew! I've been wondering the same thing
I am so obsessed with this song. Tho the scenario is something I have never experienced before. It just give me this sad and beautiful vibe
Me too i love analog gauges the same as i love regular key where you insert it in a keyhole and twist to start an engine.
I like the duo reviews tbh
Looks tight, planning to get one later this year
I just saw this color in a parking lot in St. Louis. Breathtaking.
I love kids these days who love cars! Nice job
Great video. I hope you can get one of these for a longer term test.
Definitely agree on proper gear shift direction. Down for up.
Looks like fun. Have loved my several mustang GTs but this sounds so satisfying.
Color looks like the tiger pearl on TLX Type S
love the pulls
I had a regular Giulia for a while and it had amazing handling, even better than the BMW 3 series. If you can look past some quality issues, definitely get this over its German rivals.
Quality issues for BMW you mean....
Which 3 series generation? Nothing drives better than the e9x generation
@@Fiwek23452 You must be a BUTT HURT BMW FANBOY who has never driven a Giulia Quad but just can't get over the fact that THE MOST legendary marque (ALFA) which you and most BMW fanboys, were COMPLETELY DISMISSIVE OF, BLEW AWAY your VAUNTED 3 Series POS right out of the box, in what you cluelessly believe was Alfa's FIRST ATTEMPT at a sports sedan (because you are not even aware of the fact that ALFA INVENTED THE SPORTS SEDAN) !!!
FORZA ALFA BABY !!!!
THE KING IS BACK !!!!
@@jamesterakazis6624 what’s your problem?
This is a really nice piece of Italian automotive engineering, definitely a very nice performance sedan! I love the TwinTurbo V6 under the hood as well.
A ferrari V6😉
Nice car. Good review!
Two Tophers? A Twopher!
Man, you should make a video on first impressions of driving normal Afla Romeo Giulia !! It just drives amazing and so many corks from QV trim are carried down to 2.0 L versions.
the reason why is because the QV’s were actually made first before the regular models unlike how the Germans based their performance versions on the regular models.
@@sunnysaenngarm5375 This is weird. In 2021 there were enough regular models around so waiting for them wasn’t the case. Also, not everyone can afford QV models.
Phenomenal video! Subbed!
people still talking about reliability beeing bad on alfa's, specialy ''reviewers'' should really update their knowledge. since the start of the 00's alfa has focused so much on reliablity that they quickly moved to the same level as the german competition. And nowdays even surpasses most of them. Shame you always have to keep saying alfa is not reliable, its a stigma that car people should not keep allive because its killing the brand.
Bel video, saluti dall'Italia !
Cannot think of a more exciting daily than Quadrifoglio 😍
M5 Comp
@@nutcase4.4 bmw fanboy youre a clown
@@Paul-mo5zj The m5 has a v8 and IMO any v8 > italian raspy fartbox
@@dns9155 you're wrong lol
@@Paul-mo5zj it's OK if you like fartboxes, everyone has a different taste... good and bad
lol got the equivalent one in GTAO and since then I’m just in love with it. Whenever I saw one in real life it got me excited 😆
Love from Philly 🙌
The spicy mustard color rules.
the new Topher seems Cool !
I guess you could call this a *Twopher* review…. I’ll see myself out
Ferrari heritage can't be bad. Lovely quick best looking marine on Earth.
That has to be the best sounding V6
Agreed, especially for a turbo. Normally I like NA V6s but this is awesome
R35 GTR has entered the chat...literally the best v6 sound...especially with custom exhaust
Evora sounds 10x better than both.
@@andrewrossnagel9433 Does sound good.

LOVE that color! And I thought I was the only one who used the phrase "an car" (appropriated from J. Clarkson)
Gorgeous colour!!!!
Damn, this thing is my dream car
Even the chime sounds good haha
Just beautiful!
omg that color is sick
8:31 Substitute Topher knows what's coming ! ^^
lol he grabs that handle real quick
I love alfa Romeo😍
do the Stelvio QV next please! my dream cars!
Should I go for white or black exterior? I have real trouble deciding. I know its suppose to be in red, but white looks great too.
Don't have the Quadrifoglio but have the Estrema, Reliabity is supreme
3:27 that’s also the way a sequential gearbox works, back to shift up, forward to shift down
Depends how manufacturers set this up
I own one: 3rd does NOT pull more than 1 or 2, you were in Dynamic mode in the rain so the traction control is limiting you until 3rd when it can put power down without slip.. just an FYI. A dry day with sticky tires in Race mode and you will see what I mean. Amazing car, owned it for over a year now and have loved every day with it.
Congratulations to the owner, good choice
Greetings from Germany and Good Night
I want those aluminum shift paddles for my GTI. Not for looks, but for the sound they make. (I think larger aftermarket shift paddles for GTI's look gaff but I like these).
That car is indeed a thing of beauty. UNESCO should declare cultural heritage of the humanity.
I drove a Guilia Ti was really good at handeling, how much better is the Quadrifoglio
These cars have always been cool to me but I do think about the long term.
So THAT’s what substitute topher looks like 😂
May just be the best Super Sedan that will ever exist as cars go electric.
Thetopher Can you do a POV on a 2022 Bentley continental gt v8 convertible
Yum, what a car.
@TheTopher could you show us if the front seat is behind the B pillar? A quirk Jeremy Clarkson showed in Grand Tour
??? in any car, if you push the seat back, it will be behind the B-pillar. With it's worse because he's a gorilla.
Thetopher the Bentley convertible is handcrafted in crewe England
you're in wisconsin?! mind blown.
2:31 shots fired
That color!
they had a torque vectoring e-diff back then, the 2024 has a mechanical LSD
Hey, do you know if that precise car had an OPF / GPF ? Ty
The only Italian car I would buy.
“Its Ferrari engine with two less cylinders but Alfa Romeo wont admit it”
Yeah Maserati wont admit it either with the MC20
the MC20's nettuno engine is unique to maserati fwiw, they've done a lot of in depth videos on its design and process. the alfa engine is more "ferrari with 2 less cylinders"
Because the MC20's engine is unique. One of the most efficient engines ever created.
@@myemailiscool im not talking about its uniqueness. Im talking about how they used a Ferrari block as its base but they wont own up to it
The New alfa 8C was canceled and Maserati suddenly developed a mid engine 2.9l v6 car in 2 years 🤔
@@RAZGR1Z unique in its engineering yes. Its origin as a Ferrari engine is not unique. Its still a false claim of “completely unique” if the block and basic architecture is from a Ferrari. Alfa also made the same claim when they first launched the Giulia QV as that engine was based off the 488’s. Maserati took the same approach with the MC20’s engine as well. Its still a great engine, but its not completely unique
i love the giulia but i just think it would look even better with the front of the brera...with those brutal lights
Close... facelift gets the Tonale headlights (with 3 elements)
You can't get the Tri Coat Red anyymore. This would be a top choice for me
Good lord I love this car! It’s such a beautifully designed machine. Too bad the reliability just isn’t there with Alfa Romeo. I’d prob still take my chances on owning one as long as it’s still under warranty tho.
From what I've heard the 2.0 Giulia is relatively solid. It'll have little things here or there but there's no mechanical design flaws...at least not that are widespread on the forums or at my local dealership
This car would be the GOAT with gait-ed manual transmission.
why does it keep burbling/ farting when it's not even shifting?
The vehicle virgins slander deserves a like on this video LOL
Ocra Lipari 😍🤩
Im getting mine in 2 weeks ! Can't wait !
@@nutcase4.4 ?
@@nutcase4.4 this is so much better than an m3
Paul you are gonna have so much fun. Did you custom order? Any options?
@@Paul-mo5zj No lol
@@luke-ew8qd It really is, you've probably never driven any giulia QV. Stop being narrow minded and obsessed over one precise brand, the m3 is a good car but the feelings you get from a QV are just on another level.
Alfa
Yep 5 years problem free on mine
We don't wanna pull a vehicle virgins ..
"The Topher " ..
2020+ have dual injection too
Love mine, especially with a new engine at 18k miles, under warranty. Get the warranty.
At what mileage did the old engine give out?
What happened to the engine
Substitute Topher looks like Wheels from Degrassi
it's called Ocra GT Junior
It's a shame Alfa didnt try harder to get ppl to test drive these. I got to test drive a Giulia Ti and I was in love, the handling was amazing and it felt so light on it's feet.
Yes. The 2.0T base model is criminally underrated. It has the same crazy quick steering rack, same suspension geometry, and available adaptive dampers with a mechanical LSD. It’s a lot closer to the QV in terms of driving dynamics than a 330i and M3 for example. People over look this car because on paper it isn’t impressive like the QV.
S3, S4, 340i, A35 AMG, Stinger, Jaguar XE… I’d take a Giulia Ti over any of those “performance” cars because the handling dynamics and feel is easily better than any of those I’ve driven imo.
@@jjchockey I owned a 2017 Cadillac ATS 2.0t, and I really wanted to trade it in for a Giulia but I was a bit disappointed by how numb the steering felt, maybe I was just spoiled by the alpha platform.
@@DanteDiFilippo what mode were you driving in? I own a Q4 and in Dynamic the steering is phenomenal.
Someone mentioned that the Giulia broke down while they test drove it!
@@jjchockey You might be right because I tend to not be impressed when I see a regular Giulia on the road unless it's a QV! I just go like "meh...!" I'd have to test drive one to get an idea!
The day this car came out truly amazed by how capable and cool it was, it's just a correct formula and chasis is truly sporty. But i gotta be honest, it's getting kinda old, we need a refresh or something.
Would love to see a video on the new Porsche Macan S with the 2.9 L engine.
Got room for a substitute substitute Topher?
Wish it came in a 6-speed manual
2:40
I thought I was alone. The car manufacturing industry misunderstood the idea of "the future is green" 🤦
Do you feel like this is better than the Acura type S?
Not even remotely comparable. This is in a different league. Even the base 2.0T handles better than a Type S.
Hell yes
Do you like prius more than LaFerrari?
Not the same league.
Fun Fact: it’s actually the only 90degree V6 production car.
I wish I had the courage to buy one of these. And the wallet to support whatever issues might pop up with such ownership.
8:39 defo an open diff, what a shame that a dynamic car like that doesn't come with LSD.
