Andy's "oof" at the beginning had me dying.
If I remember correctly, the original actor had a prominent role in the hit ABC tv show, Once Upon a Time and couldn’t do both. Hence the recast with Zachary Levi.
I give this episode a good FAT 5
I miss Kevin :,(
My favorite thing about this movie is I had no desire to rewatch it whatsoever and I was able to use that time doing literally anything else.
This upload…I like it.
ANOTHER!
i love this comment
Totally disagree with Nick on the ‘people explaining the plan’ thing. When done well, it can be a great source of comedic relief. It’s also a great way for the plot to subvert expectations, such that the audience is being shown one thing and told a different thing to denote an unexpected change in the plan.
Number one issue is that they made this with out a finished or polished script. It trickles down to every part of this film. Its why Patty Jenkins walked in pre production.
I love the Before Trilogy, have you guys done those yet?
Greg?
Regarding Zach Levi as Fandral, he was actually originally cast before Chuck forced him to drop out. Then for Dark World Josh Dallas had to drop out because of Once Upon a Time so Zach Levi was able to come in
I don't understand the hate for this movie. I just rewatched it and enjoyed it as much or more than Iron Man 2 and 3.
It's a shame because Malekith is a really fun villain in the comics but the problem is he's just like MCU Loki (in the comics back then Loki was boring). So the lazy writers couldn't think of anything else to do with him
Oh that was the worst! Malekith is like Thors Joker (not his chief antagonist) in that hes a pure chaos agent. I hate how they wasted a great character with a great actor that could have been thrilling!
No! You need to turn Daylight Savings ON, and leave it on forever. No one like it getting dark out at 5pm...
I think Andy and Greg are right. The movie isn’t objectively terrible. It’s just boring. It’s nowhere near as exciting as other MCU projects.
It’s impossible for a movie to be objectively terrible
@@MrFalconart nah you’re incorrect
@@MrFalconart btw these kind of replies add nothing to the community, just move along. You known what I meant, you don’t need to be the “well, actually” guy
@@teddyholiday8038 why am I incorrect? What makes a movie objectively bad?
AoU under IM2. Ant-Man Black Widow at 26 that's some bullshit right there.
The Gravity thing was because of the Convergence, not the Aether's powers
The music for it is good but the Haiku in Review song makes sense as beat poetry cause its poetry. I HAVE OPINIONS!
Oceans In Review, when?
We're actually getting rid of Day Lights Savings time next year
you might say Andy is in the Ether so to speak.
I would rather watch this movie ten times than have to watch all of Loki again.
I love how the actor that plays Sylvie can’t act very well and can’t act like she’s running, so the people that made the show were like, “Let’s put her in every scene and have her running for one reason or another!”
Yeah even being an MCU Mega-fan this one hurts…I mean it’s still better than half of the DCEU movies but those guys suck 🤣
I really don't know how Captain Marvel is ahead of BOTH Ant-Man movies.. That movie is bottom 5 MCU for me.
Is it keeping it real? Or keeping it reel?
So, here we are: Hello darkness, my old friend.
We're talking about these fucks from Thor 2 once again..
It's low tier for sure but I still enjoy this better than Captain Marvel and the Eternals lol.
No no. It’s “keeping it reel or keeping it real” that’s the name of the podcast. Then Andy just says reel/real and it’s up to us to find out which one he means without asking Andy any additional questions.
Only thing I gathered from this is that they like when it gets dark at 5 PM
What kind of normal person likes that? There are none.
@@aarons.2323 oh I agree, but they just shat on daylight savings. We’re in daylight savings right now
Every time I watch this movie, I somehow remember less of it.
Im sorry how do you watch these films and think he was bigger in Thor 1!? Hemsworth is massive in this. He’s only rivaled by the way he looks in Love & Thunder.
Bro, side by side it!
@@kindafunny I swear he’s cut & bigger in Dark World. He still has that “new to Hollywood training” look in Thor 1. It’s still like comparing the biggest cut apple to a humongous buff orange, lol. Cheers for actually going back and doing this! I still say this is better than a lot of other CBM, but it’s the worst of the MCU.
FAT 5!
Having just watched the In Review they did, Tim and Nick though Dark World was better than Thor and Tim even said could be better than Hulk. Funny to hear them now and they now all say its the worst of the MCU and nothing else is as bad. But they didn't think that originally.
My favorite part was that it ended
I'm still waiting for someone to bring him a horse! or a pet big enough to ride!
\
I'm so sorry you had to rewatch this movie.
A big ole Fat Five
46:13 FAT5
Hey, Tim, how about instead of trying to get upskirts of all of Hollywood, they celebrate pride by having a rainbow bridge carpet?
The fuck lol
@@TheAndyCortez He suggested replacing the red carpet with a mirrored one (and realized what he was saying halfway through). Watch the last Kenobi screencast for full context. lmao. I'm just saying they should lean in and remind people that the asguardians put the bi in bifrost.
Yeah, these guys just hate long hair. Even when it isn't a wig, they're complaining 😂
There is no reason at all Moon knight should be that low.
I don't care what anyone says this will always be my favorite of the Thor trilogy. I hope Taika can make my new favorite with Love and Thunder
Not a great movie. But. The Score is fucking fantastic.
Fat 5 of an episode!
I can’t watch this movie. This is the only MCU movie I’ve only seen once, and it is such a slog that I have zero desire to ever watch it again. Doesn’t help I have total superhero burn out too.
This is one I swore was amazing almost like 5 years after I saw it. Rewatched it one day and said “What the hell was I thinking!!”. Other than the great Thor and Loki moments…this one is sadly a dud. #ThankGod4Ragnarok
Edit: I think this movie really solidified how cool Loki CAN be. Def the start of his uphill climb right here.
Mmm-mm 1
I remember this coming out and the MCU being in such a bad place I didn’t even see it in theaters. At this point the majority of MCU movies were just okay or flat out bad. Thank god for the Russo’s and James Gunn, cause the MCU at this point was on the brink of death.
Most of the movies were successful and fairly well received at this point, the MCU was definitely not on the brink of death.
@@nikkieg158 at this point only Iron Man 1 and Avengers were good. We had Thor, Dark World, IM2 and 3 that were all differing levels of bad. And then Captain America which was just okay.
Winter Soldier and GOTG absolutely turned the MCU into what we know today.
Iron Man 3 made over a billion dollars. Tell me again how the MCU was on the brink of death.. your opinion is not fact
I still think _Ant-Man and the Wasp_ is much worse movie. But yeah _Thor: The Dark World_ might be the most boring MCU installment
Tim was talking about if there could be any MCU movie worse than this. To that I would say that Multiverse of Madness was definitely worse than Dark World 🙂
Fat five.
Dark World isn't great by any stretch, but I'll take it any day over the first one, which I maintain is damn near unwatchable.
If I remember correctly, the original actor had a prominent role in the hit ABC tv show, Once Upon a Time and couldn’t do both. Hence the recast with Zachary Levi.
