You wouldn't want more food than what AA tosses out to you, as it's complete garbage. I just flew them last week from London. They crew were mean and talked about the passengers they just served as if they would' t hear them. Very unprofessional. The flight over was on BA and was loads better. AA is a shite airline!
@Henry Kidd It was a Boeing 777. It wasn't so much the aircraft, although it was a bit old and could have used an update as it was how rude and unprofessional the crew were. I've flown Lufthansa, South African, BA/United and it was a world of difference.
I've flown AA transatlantic several times, on a 757, 767, 777-200 and 777-300. I'd say their service was sub-par, staff generally making going through the motions and only delivering the basics. Pleased to see you had a better experience. My funniest encounter with AA staff was on a 757 flying long-haul from JFK to Manchester. During the hot drink service, I asked if they has green tea (I didn't think they would to be fair). The lady replied "no, you need to be flying with a proper airline for that. Next time, I'd suggest flying British Airways". It was funny as she made several more joking but negative comments about AA as the flight went on. She was wearing a TWA apron and name badge, so I assume she really didn't want to be working for AA, even though it was more than 10 after TWA disappeared. She was lovely, but clearly not impressed with the in-flight service she was being asked to deliver.
I flew American long-haul a few times. All between North and South America. The equipment was 767ER, 777ER and 787. The 787 was BY FAR the best experience, although I got a free upgrade to premium economy. That probably affected my overall experience positively. In the 777 and 767 the experience was DREADFUL, specially on the 777 due to incredibly cramped seats! (I'm 180 cm tall) The economy seats had so little reclining, people's heads would drop forward as they fell asleep. There was so little cushioning on those seats I would wake up every so often because the top of my bum was hurting and numb (start of bed wounds). My middle seat was VERY squeezed on the sides, I couldn't change position during the flight. In other words - there was very little sleep. Nobody will miss those 767... better seats than AA's 777, but the air was barely breathable (very thin, dry and had some of a petroleum hint) and there was nothing in the means of entertainment. What a torture. AA - never again.
I just flew Montreal-Paris in an Air France 787, and I changed the name to Nightmareliner...my knees were shot at the end, and the seats are extremely uncomfortable. I miss the 777 they used to fly on this route...not looking forward to the return trip at all.
pretty much agree to all your points at the end of the vid, I flew AA DFW to HKG, if I was to make a pros and cons list it'd be almost identical. A very enjoyable video to watch btw :)
Great review! Its nice to see economy reviews as that is what most of us fly on a regular basis. I fly this route often (living in AUS and family in USA) and must say AA has always provided great service on a good product. I would agree 100% with your review. While I preferred the space of the 777ER they used to use on this route, the economy section on the AA787 is much more spacious feeling as they crammed 10 across on the 777. Many people are comparing Emirates(who has gone downhill)/Singapore/JAL/etc... these are not options on this route (unless you want your 15 hour flight to turn into 24-36 hours) so you really can't compare. Qantas, Virgin Australia, United, AA, Delta are the nonstop options from the US (Air Canada from our friends up north but they don't do LAX/SYD). AA holds their own against this group. I still prefer the A380 (Qantas) overall for the aircraft. The AA flight attendants on the LAXSYD route have always been fantastic! Some of the best I ever experience on AA. Happy you still had a great experience even on the full plane. Again, great review! Keep them coming. Try the chopsticks with your lasagne next time, maybe it will be a life changing experience!
I flew to Incheon/Seoul a couple years ago on Air Canada’s 787-9. Was able to upgrade affordable to Premium Economy, and that was excellent! Just a 10:30 flight, but they were exceptionally comfortable. I agree 100% With your recommendation of the modern aircraft for the long haul.
Coby Explanes I think the hate comes because the crew has the ability to lock the windows on the darkest setting. I would go absolutely bonkers, raving mad, if that happened to me!! I hadn’t thought about this, but someone else mentioned it. Personally, I’ve never flown on the dreamliner.

The Flight Map was actually the same and you could adjust the viewing angle. You just had to tap a button on the side of the screen to show layout options.
Sorry, I don't rate it, the auto blinds are a novelty, but annoying, and compared to the A330NEO, A350 and A380 it's noisy..... and as for feeling better and reducing jet lag.... Never noticed a difference.
I always prefer the Economy reviews...the business and first class reviews are interesting but that's not how most people fly. Most of us are bumming at the back of the bus and there are so many differences between service, space, IFE and food offered, even within the same airline! Thank you for uploading. Glad to hear AA just restarted LAX-SYD flights in January 2022. I've never been to Australia, hope to when the pandemic calms down a little (or a lot.)
I flew in economy back in April 2018, since I couldn’t upgrade to Business or Premium Economy but had a whole row to myself so I was good. Loved Australia, can’t wait to go back and hit up New Zealand as well.
My favorite long haul flight currently is my AA flight from LHR to PHX aboard the 777-200. I was supposed to get onto a BA 787-9 straight to SJC, but that flight was cancelled and I was not expecting this flight to be too good, but I was wowed and I loved the AA long haul service on the 777!
Gateau is French for cake. Black Forest Gateau is chocolate cake with cherry & whipped cream layer fillings. I have no idea what the airline version of this might taste like.
One thing people don’t know: Those are government funded airlines and can spend as much as they want, regardless. No U.S. airlines are government funded.
I took this exact flight 10/4/2019... the same day your video was posted! I was expecting it to be awful but it really wasn't that bad. The only bad part was the flight attendants (but not the other passengers!) kept bumping into me and waking me up.
I flew this trip and also the LAX to Auckland, NZ, last year. As commented before, there's no comparison to ANY US airline with foreign airlines. I have flown with Emirates, Singapore, Ethihad, Swiss, Latam, Copa, Avianca, and have been around the world twice, and flying west is best for jetlag, as I had no issues. The difference between in flight service between foreign and US airlines is what's priority. Foreign airlines pay less but benefits are better than US. The lower pay stems from the airlines putting their profits in their equipment and customer experience, something US airlines don't do. Try using LATAM from Santiago, Chile to Sydney, Australia. Now, that's a long flight. Looking forward to my next long flights: Dallas to Tel Aviv, Dallas to Auckland, NZ, and a shorter ( 7 hrs) from Philadelphia to Casablanca, Morocco. Yes, I have jet fuel in my veins, since 1990. Great video.
I recently flew on American's longhaul from LAX - Buenos Aires (EZE). You lucked out with the breakfast offered. All I got was yogurt and some kind of small granola that had to be mixed with the yogurt. No other food choices were available, and the same thing was offered to everyone in the economy cabin. Probably the most disappointing airline meal I had.
I'm surprised he kinda liked the food. I find AA's food mostly tasteless. To my surprise, United has much better food. Heck they had the nerve to serve me German potato salad on a flight to SFO once! But it was pretty good and not salty at all and to my shock, United wiped the floor with AA in terms of gate performance. They were on time from DFW to Orange County and the only reason they were late getting into SFO was because of a storm that refused to leave so 1/5 of California air traffic had to put up with it. The flights back to DFW were stellar: not a single flight was late by even 10 minutes! I am not embarrassed a bit to say AA got knocked out in that area.
We flew American, Auckland to LA economy January '20 and it was pretty good. I watched a couple of fairly new movies that I hadn't seen. We brought inflatable seat pads which made the seat far more comfy. I thought the food was good too. I was also super impressed with the 787. It's nothing short of amazing.
This is a great report ! I flew American MIA-LHR in November interestingly the worst part about the flight was the crew so total opposite to you but other than that it was an ok service, we were on the 777-300 in Premium Economy. Thanks for sharing now subscribed
Probably gave you an entire row because you're so attractive! I flew this route in August 2019 in Premium Economy. My sentiments are the same as far as the food and service...easily the best I've had in over 80 flights. (Admittedly though, AA can be very hit or miss on that.) The only downside to my particular flight? The crew locking the windows on the darkest setting until just before landing.
Absolutely NO on locking the windows. I am glued to the window on all flights day or night. I am a big boy now, and don't need to be protected against the dark and monsters!!! It's awesome to just sit and watch something you never get to see like the middle of the ocean on a clear night. Who's big ass stupid idea was that to lock the windows? I don't care how good the service is or the aircraft type. Locking the windows and making nap time for everyone is rediculous.
There are only two options out of SFO nonstop. Doesn’t sound like he likes United long haul. Qantas is only other NS. Usually flights are often much less expensive via LAX to SYD from SFO vs QF nonstop. May not be the reason for him but it often is for me.
I could NEVER fly economy on a long haul flight.... that should be illegal! Kudos to Coby for not being like every other vlogger and only flying 1st and business, you sir gave me the perspective from economy and that is very interesting for me!
Flew American from Paris to DFW and had my own row. Best flight of my life. IFE kept me busy and I got at least 5 hours of sleep. I also love the 787....
How wide is the seat? I avoid flights with seats that are under 18 inches wide. I saw it was 3 3 3. I have only done business on the 787 and you are correct the plane is good for pressure, humidity and quietness.
Ngl the best inflight experience i ever had (note i always fly economy) was on an emirates A380. There was a lot of leg space/ comfortable seating, IFE was really good, and food was amazing.
The food seems rather stingy to me - I usually fly Emirates or Singapore Airlines who’re pretty good with food. But now moving to the US next year and am a bit alarmed that I’ll have to lower my standards 😮
Good review - I enjoyed watching it. Is it possible that the US airlines' product is different on international routes where they are in competition with Asian and European airlines? i.e. the competition with e.g. Lufthansa or Singapore Airlines produces a different product compared with domestic US routes where the competition is essentially just the US legacy airlines?
Yep, my understanding is the domestic product is much different than the international though I personally don't fly a lot of American so I can't say for certain
Thank you Coby. I like your pros, cons, caveats bit at the end. Fixed IPE and paying for wifi is so such a first world problem but pales into significance now with covid19. How does 787 handle turbulence? Glad for you the crew were a good bunch.
You should review Air New Zealand long haul flights. Personally, they have extremely good service and free wifi. Also, the screen tilts. Plus, basically everything is free, and much more leg room. Premium economy is miles better than economy with much more leg room. :) Love your videos.
The meal presentation was horrible. The problem with all USA based carriers is that generally speaking, none of them take an ounce of pride in what they do. Shameful. You can buy new aircraft, put a nice interior in it, good IFE, but then you get lousy food slopped on a tray any old way and set down with no smile. Food should be prepared and presented graciously. That's how you win customers.
Maybe you should put your length in the screen when you comment about legroom. Because right now, saying that the legroom is good doesn't say anything.
I agree: I have flown AA long haul at least 100 times and its product is pretty consistent. In my experience, some Asian, European and Persian Gulf airlines may beat AA's service but AA is quite good.
I'm saying this before I'm even watching the video. 15 hours in economy on American? I don't think this is going to turn out well. I've flown American several times long haul. 10 on the 787 and near double that many times on the 777 for 11.5 hours LAX to GRU. I honestly would rate them as hitting about .300. Which may be decent for MLB baseball, but not that great for a service business. Here goes, I'll see how it turns out.
A350 is mega quiet in front of engines compared to 787. Behind engines is like the same noise as in front of engines on 787. Plus I’d say it’s a comfier ride. I’m 6ft 2 and found bathrooms maybe a bit smaller, but laid out better. Every plane is not nice for me tho with my knees in the seat in front of me lol no matter the legroom
Apple Tree well I’m going to try to get an upgrade to business if it’s not too expensive, but I doubt I would even have enough legroom there being 6‘8 😅
Was there a meal option that required chopsticks served during dinner? Since most trays are pre-plated with salad/bread/dessert/cutlery etc for all meals it’s only the hot meal that gets added when it’s served to you, so if there was an option that required chopsticks to eat it might explain why they where on your tray :)
I went on a 787 about 3 years before this video. (Norwegian Airlines) and the only thing that was good was the fact that the windows were shaded via tinted glass. The cabin felt worse than normal, and like you said in your review the screen couldn’t be tilted and the person in front of me was reclined for the entirety of the flight. There was more, but i feel that may have just been the airline. Anyways great video though!
Thanks for your Video as I do like American, Bummer you missed showing your first meal uncovered and not sure if this was the 787-8 or 9? Just add for those for us Airline geeks lol. Did they offer a over night kit in Economy? Anyway thanks for sharing
wonder how attentive the flight attendants would have been if they didn't know you were filming? It is my experience that American has some of the rudest flight attendants in the industry. Good to see a RUclipsr doing reviews from the economy section on a long haul flight. Not all of us ( the majority ) fly business/ first class.
Well they didn't realize I was filming until the meal service, and they were friendly from the get go! Considering it's a super long flight I'd expect the cabin crew to be more seasoned, which they very much were
I did, but I was fast asleep when it came. It was a mini pizza with some ice cream - they offered it to me when I woke up but breakfast was coming up so I decided against it
That’s the flight I would of had to take if I wanted to attend Minecon 2016 as I live in Melbourne and it takes around fourteen and a half hours to fly to LA which is where Minecon was being hosted that year! Pretty much Qantas and American are the only two airlines I know do flights on that route! I also flew on a Boing 787 back in early 2017 with Qantas’s budget airline Jetstar between Melbourne and Singapore for a holiday in Singapore and it was surprisingly comfortable for an eight hour flight however it was still hard to fall asleep on the way home as it was an overnight flight! Also Jetstar didn’t even have in flight wifi at all on their planes as it wasn’t until later that year when Qantas installed in flight wifi on their planes and the great thing is that it is free and complimentary on Qantas flights domestically in Australia by what I’ve experienced on their domestic flights in early 2018 and it’s pretty decent as you get quite a good speed once you are in the air however the plane will loose it’s connection with the satellite if it’s flying through/under clouds or is flying not high enough so you won’t actually be able to use the wifi until the plane gets up to 15-20 thousand feet! :)
Now try flying cattle class on one of the 737-8 "oasis" layouts from MIA to LAS (be sure to get a properly full one) and tell me that AA is still good. No IFE, seats are like 15" wide, bathrooms are 24" wide. Worst flying experience I've ever had. I'm not flying American again until they ditch that "oasis" BS.
haha oh I'm verrrrry aware of American's super mediocre short-haul especially on 737s. That's why I was so shocked that these flights were actually quite good!
The only thing worse would be a 16 hour flight in a 777 with 10 ROWS across as did on Canadian Airlines Shanghai to Toronto. Many airlines have gone to 10 across in 777s and it is miserable.
Nope! Didn't realize I was filming till after I was moved. The flight was so empty pretty much everyone either had their own row or an empty seat next to them
I would venture he got more attention because they knew he was doing a review. Last year I flew American from LHR to CLT. Never have I seen flight attendants that were as rude.
Yep, probably because that’s the aileron, which controls left/right roll. It was a pretty gusty day so perhaps the pilot was making adjustments on the runway to straighten the plane out, in which case it’s purpose as an aileron supersedes it’s secondary use as part of the speedbreak system
This is not solely an American Airlines fault for these types of seats with their non-tilting screens, Air France has these on many of their 777s too, Air NZ, ANA, KLM and Virgin Atlantic have the same type of seats. Korean Air may have the same issue on their 787-9s for the PTV screens.
I've only flown ultra long haul twice. The first time was LAX to Beijing on Asiana in economy, then back to LAX from Incheon. Middle row, middle seat. It was fairly comfortable, and the crew was amazing. I couldn't sleep though. I don't remember the aircraft type. The second time was Qantas Business Class from DFW to Sydney on the A380 and Melbourne to LAX on the Dreamliner. It was amazing. I slept almost as well as at home, and now I never want to fly long haul economy again!🤣
I flew with them from Tokyo to Dallas last week on economy, it was comfortable too, although I honestly think that AA keep their cabin temperature way too cold.
I just flew Dallas-Heathrow on an older 777. The crew was very nice and food was ok, but the aircraft was really loud and the seats were in need of some serious TLC. I’m a big guy and the experience was horrible. I had to eat painkillers for days after the flight.
Coby; the a330 a340 a380 and 747(accepting the latter three may soon be distant commercial relics) were missing from your recommended ultra long haul. Having travelled on all four, I can definitely say they are all relaxing aircraft. I'll also say this; whilst wholly accepting 2 engines are more efficient, there's such a sure feel travelling on 4 engined aircraft that 2 engines cant quite match/replicate (& I accept the 777 comes very close), .
When covid wasn't a thing... Also dreamliner cabin air is supposed to be less dry due to carbon composite airframe inreactivity to water corrosion. True or false?
Bro, Boeing 777X hasn't come out yet! I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about when recommending planes to fly long haul. The A380 is also very comfy!
While I love to make fun of AA and the fact they always stick me on their most ancient planes, I admit their Airbus IFE screen is pretty straight forward and any moron can learn how to use it in a pinch. It also is very responsive and you won't find yourself jabbing at the screen, trying to make it respond. I also like that it shows a lot of technical stuff such as the plane's position on a 3D map (which I found cute but informative), direction, altitude, wind speed, aircraft speed, and even estimated remaining flight time. I flew DFW to MCO earlier in January on an A321 and at least that felt modern, not ancient and neglected.
They have to be at least decent, on international routes. Otherwise no one would fly them, unlike the domestic market, where a few airlines have a complete monopoly!
I did a Qantas A380 15 hours in the back end from Sydney to LAX. It’ll be the last time in coach. Got blessed out by a chick in front of me who said I was disrespectful for hitting her 350 pound father who was reclining into my lap when I got up. On the bright side, I liked their snack bar in the aft.
Lights off during night takeoffs and landings are not particular to American at all, the reason is you have to be adjusted to darkness if there is an emergency exit!
i done many long hauls and getting a row to yourself is everything
It makes ALL the difference, indeed. Even 3-seat rows do.

Sorry, I don't rate it, the auto blinds are a novelty, but annoying, and compared to the A330NEO, A350 and A380 it's noisy..... and as for feeling better and reducing jet lag.... Never noticed a difference.
I found the seats uncomfortably narrow on the American 787. Delta, Qantas and Air NZ are the best options on this route.
I've heard good things about Air New Zealand too!
Hello!! Great video!! For long haul flights you recommended the 787, 777 and A350. Do you recommend also de A380?
My favorite long haul flight currently is my AA flight from LHR to PHX aboard the 777-200. I was supposed to get onto a BA 787-9 straight to SJC, but that flight was cancelled and I was not expecting this flight to be too good, but I was wowed and I loved the AA long haul service on the 777!
For a first flight review, this is great!
Thanks :)
Gateau is French for cake. Black Forest Gateau is chocolate cake with cherry & whipped cream layer fillings. I have no idea what the airline version of this might taste like.
Just wait until you fly with Singapore or Emirates, you will never want to fly American long haul ever again lol
Ray Hernandez inwas about to post that 😒
I was also just about to comment that...
Idk about singapore but Emirates is overrated
especially SQ.
They dont have economy for long hauls.
The meals look small.. no side salad or fruit with any meal. Good to hear what they did give you tasted OK.
Plenty of salt I guess. The meal lookes just pitious.
He says he really liked the food and you say he thinks the food is OK
We flew American, Auckland to LA economy January '20 and it was pretty good. I watched a couple of fairly new movies that I hadn't seen. We brought inflatable seat pads which made the seat far more comfy. I thought the food was good too. I was also super impressed with the 787. It's nothing short of amazing.
This is a great report ! I flew American MIA-LHR in November interestingly the worst part about the flight was the crew so total opposite to you but other than that it was an ok service, we were on the 777-300 in Premium Economy. Thanks for sharing now subscribed
Ya I've heard that it's pretty hit or miss with American, guess I got lucky
This has happened on all of my Dreamliner flights, regardless of carrier, which is why I avoid it when I can.
After my miserable experience in a 10 across 777, we try to fly Premium Economy on long hauls.
Check out Qantas next time you are doing this route. It was a 747 but the service and food were top notch. I never went hungry or thirsty.
Ever consider doing a Delta long haul review?
I have, would love to fly their a350. Unfortunately I don't have a reason to fly one yet
Why did you have to fly from SFO to LA to catch your flight to Sydney? Couldn’t you have flown from San Francisco?
There are only two options out of SFO nonstop. Doesn’t sound like he likes United long haul. Qantas is only other NS. Usually flights are often much less expensive via LAX to SYD from SFO vs QF nonstop. May not be the reason for him but it often is for me.
I could NEVER fly economy on a long haul flight.... that should be illegal! Kudos to Coby for not being like every other vlogger and only flying 1st and business, you sir gave me the perspective from economy and that is very interesting for me!
haha, well I can currently only afford economy so all reviews from here on out are gonna be for average flyers like you and me :)
Love it when youtubers are genuine. Just be you and it will happen brother!
@@seattlesikhness007 :)
The majority of people flying do so in economy. Agreed Kudos to Coby for not being like every other vlogger . This will help his channel grow.
This is so wholesome
So you like window seat? I feel cold on side to the window somehow. :)
Thank you for your informational video! I enjoyed it and it really made me like and want to pick American Airlines for my trip to London. Cheers!
You should review Air New Zealand long haul flights. Personally, they have extremely good service and free wifi. Also, the screen tilts. Plus, basically everything is free, and much more leg room. Premium economy is miles better than economy with much more leg room. :) Love your videos.
Thanks - moving to the US next year and certainly am looking into NZ Airlines 🤘🏽
That's a 14 hour flight. 16 hours from Dallas
Awesome! Finally, proper spoken English!! ❤❤ p/s no no to US3, no mater the aircraft 😂😂
What software program did you use to incorporate the PowerPoint slide with the video? Very cool!
Everything's done in Final Cut Pro!
I loved your review Coby !
No chopsticks with breakfast tho 🤦♀️ 😂
I was at LAX recently and saw a flight headed to SYD. It was a 777-300ER. Do they operate the 787 as well?
I'm saying this before I'm even watching the video. 15 hours in economy on American? I don't think this is going to turn out well. I've flown American several times long haul. 10 on the 787 and near double that many times on the 777 for 11.5 hours LAX to GRU. I honestly would rate them as hitting about .300. Which may be decent for MLB baseball, but not that great for a service business. Here goes, I'll see how it turns out.
Kevin Quartemont 15 hours in AA economy and you should make sure you’ve packed enough painkillers for a week 😏
Really looking forward to my 11hr flight from Munich to Denver on a Lufthansa A350-900 next year after watching your video
enjoy! never flown an a350 so lmk how it is :)
Apple Tree well I’m going to try to get an upgrade to business if it’s not too expensive, but I doubt I would even have enough legroom there being 6‘8 😅
I really want to take those flights, I live in Denver, and took the United 787-8 flights to LHR in May.
I used to fly American from the UK, when they had forward facing CCTV so you could see the pilot's view of the where you were going.
What was your hydration plan? Was dehydration bad on the Dreamliner?
It was a -9, and no overnight kits for economy :/
Thanks for responding and I will check out more of your travels. Be Safe!
Sydney flights use the -9 variant
wonder how attentive the flight attendants would have been if they didn't know you were filming? It is my experience that American has some of the rudest flight attendants in the industry. Good to see a RUclipsr doing reviews from the economy section on a long haul flight. Not all of us ( the majority ) fly business/ first class.
Well they didn't realize I was filming until the meal service, and they were friendly from the get go! Considering it's a super long flight I'd expect the cabin crew to be more seasoned, which they very much were
Did you not get the mid-flight snack?
I did, but I was fast asleep when it came. It was a mini pizza with some ice cream - they offered it to me when I woke up but breakfast was coming up so I decided against it
I enjoyed the vid so yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing more. I can never get enough trip reports. 👌
How do you not know what a black forest gateau is? It's delicious!
Cuz I'm not french haha
@@cobyexplanes the black forest is in Germany...

Did the FA move you to an empty row because they knew you were going to do a review?
Nope! Didn't realize I was filming till after I was moved. The flight was so empty pretty much everyone either had their own row or an empty seat next to them
I would venture he got more attention because they knew he was doing a review. Last year I flew American from LHR to CLT. Never have I seen flight attendants that were as rude.
Very nice review
Fantastic Review!
Great Channel too mate..
Thanks :)
Hi, at around 10:15 you see one part of the speedbrake that remains not deployed until the very last moments, anyone knows what that is? Thanks!
Yep, probably because that’s the aileron, which controls left/right roll. It was a pretty gusty day so perhaps the pilot was making adjustments on the runway to straighten the plane out, in which case it’s purpose as an aileron supersedes it’s secondary use as part of the speedbreak system
@@cobyexplanes thanks Coby, I did not know that was part of the aileron as well. Also I did not know it was also used on runway during landing!
I slept almost as well as at home, and now I never want to fly long haul economy again!🤣
haha wish I could fly business!
@@cobyexplanes it was a one time treat for myself, and it was amazing!
I flew with them from Tokyo to Dallas last week on economy, it was comfortable too, although I honestly think that AA keep their cabin temperature way too cold.
Did you say 777X? How could you recommend a airplane that never flew?
I really like the A330 for longhaul flights in Economy because the 2-4-2 layout is very comfortable
great video! very informative! loved the chopstick bit! i'm your biggest fan!
Thanks Grant ;)
I just flew Dallas-Heathrow on an older 777. The crew was very nice and food was ok, but the aircraft was really loud and the seats were in need of some serious TLC. I’m a big guy and the experience was horrible. I had to eat painkillers for days after the flight.
Was it a -200 or -300er?
Coby Explanes it was a -223er
@@anttikalpio4577 ah, that explains it. American hasn't updated several of the 220ers yet
Great review. 👏🏾
they should allow you to fly business class for life.
If their was any aircraft i would fly for long haul it would be the A350, 777x or 787
While I love to make fun of AA and the fact they always stick me on their most ancient planes, I admit their Airbus IFE screen is pretty straight forward and any moron can learn how to use it in a pinch.
Many thanks!
great review. American is one of, if not the best America carrier.
I’m. Scared of flying
I think I should use a spoon on a airplane
I flew them 14 hours from DFW to PEK and was expecting a shit show but it was actually done really well
They have to be at least decent, on international routes. Otherwise no one would fly them, unlike the domestic market, where a few airlines have a complete monopoly!
OH NO! When I fly down under, it's Qantas for me. LOVE THEM! J
I actually had a bad experience flying qantas from brisbane to tokyo - I heard great things but guess I was unlucky
@@cobyexplanes As an Australian - we avoid QANTAS at all costs. Airline of last resort.
You flew to Sydney and did not fly Qantas
Lights off during night takeoffs and landings are not particular to American at all, the reason is you have to be adjusted to darkness if there is an emergency exit!
