      Yeah in my opinion it depends on the app, snapseed is a Google app so it would make sense to be more optimised in android phones than in iOS , that’s why the galaxy is significantly faster

      @@kongukaran well let me disagree cause snapseed is the same for all android phones since they all download it from Google Play Store , while they need to reprogram it for the iOS software since they have a tottaly different app architecture and system API’s and also different guidelines before being published in App Store . It’s propably written in a different programming language too like snapseed in android is probably written in Java while in iOS is written in Swift or Objective-C and to do that developers usually use cross-platform development frameworks like React Native or Flutter which usually result in a slower performance. I highly doubt that Google developers put the same effort to make snapseed fast on iOS . Just like macOS the Google chrome is veeery slow on simple tasks compared to safari , they are just not optimised

    The issue with a test like this is that it assumes the phones are opening the same app.
    They're not. Not even close. Speaking as a mobile engineer, when I worked at Chase, it was well known that the quality of engineering (particularly with performance) was far better from our iOS team than our Android team.
    That isn't to say this test isn't valuable, it's incredibly valuable and provides a ton of insight into the performance one can expect day to day with a given device; but it doesn't measure phone speed, it measures respective platform app speed, which is incredibly variable, based on how the devs of that platform handled things like image loading, caching, threading, memory management, etc.

      Let's set the record straight. Comparing the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max makes sense because they were released just a few months apart, falling within the same tech cycle (2023-2024). Both represent the best technology their companies had to offer during that period.
      On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, released nearly 8 months after the S24 Ultra, features newer hardware and software, making it a different generation altogether. It’s not accurate to say the S24 Ultra had time to 'optimize' over the 16 Pro Max; they simply belong to different release windows.
      The fair comparison is clearly between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Galaxy S24 Ultra, as they both reflect the cutting edge tech of their respective companies for the same timeframe. Looking ahead, comparisons with the iPhone 16 Pro Max should be reserved for future models like the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

      Equally, because there isn't much room for improvement with the current state of technology.
      We will have to wait like 2 years for a significant improvement.
      I remember watching this 3-5 years ago, and watching these phones struggle to reload the apps, now it's near instantaneous.
      3-5 years later, we will definitely see it becoming faster, but not in the short term. This is due to numerous reasons like Die sizes and optimizations etc.

    The Galaxy has an obvious disadvantage because you have to swipe twice to exit games while on the iPhone you only have to swipe once.

    • @bubbleir
      @bubbleir 3 месяца назад +6

      the iphone had 3 double swipes and the Samsung had 4, at least for this video. Taking that in account, the s24 is probably .20-.50 milliseconds faster. You samsung fanboys always make this seem like there's a bigger gap than there actually is lmao

    • @chj8010
      @chj8010 3 месяца назад

      @@bubbleirin the first test, the difference was only about 0.1 seconds so yeah it would have changed the 'winner'. And for the second test the galaxy obviously had more double swipes that made the galaxy take a few more seconds because both of the phones did not experience any refresh yet the gap widened.

      They always test with standard settings; otherwise, you could overclock and other stuff. It is about optimisations, and Samsung should get rid of double-swipe, but I suspect they don't due to too many people, when playing games, swiping out of the game with one swipe enabled.
