I saw an awesome live version of this song on "Cold Live At The Chapel" in Australia years ago. The band were in top form, the singer was oozing "soul".
what reef got that just about every band since 2000 onwards has never understood is that good music is about leaving space for everybody in the band to do their thing. No wall of sound. A riff. A baseline. A drum beat. Vocals. Tempo yes, but not everybody turned up to 10 with tonnes of delay, distortion and reverb all blasting at once making it impossible to pick out the parts. Less is waaaay more.
