Callahan is not the worst coach in the game dude. For 1 he has never been a head coach. He might be the best coach in the NFL we just don’t know. Zach Taylor is a top 5 coach and Zach Taylor has ALWAYS been the play caller since the day he walked in the door. Brian’s father Bill hasn’t always been just an offensive line coach. He has been a head coach for Nebraska and in the NFL I think. Brian Callahan is going to be a good head coach. Dave Cannales is destined to fail I believe. Bills fan here, and I can tell you that even among Bills Mafia there is a very hard divide among the fan base on McDermott. "13 seconds" is the usual reason cited by his detractors. That said, if you look at the run the Bills went on late last season, the defense was not "banged up" it was decimated. They were literally pulling guys off the sofa and retirement against the Chiefs, and they still almost won (looking at you Stefon Diggs and Tyler Bass). That's why, although I largely agree with these rankings, I can't see Zac Taylor or Mike McDaniel ranked above him.

That being said, he did not get a fair shake on his first year, also worth mentioning that Ryan Jenson blew out his knee in training camp that year which would lead to his retirement after playing 1 playoff game, which was TB12s last game.

Edit: actually based on your list taylor is perfect at 7. Campbell, McDaniel and stefanski does not belong above Taylor…but the rest before him starting at Lefluer I’m okay with. Taylor at 11….he’s the most underrated and disrespected HC in the league. Turned around a poverty franchise that were basement dwellers since 2016. In one season turned the roster around and made a SB, back to back AFC championship games, 2x division champion, 1x afc champion, and still went 9-8 in the toughest division in football with a decimated roster due to injuries and a backup QB. Not to mention one of the few HCs who consistently outcoaches the chiefs and Andy Reid as far as head to head is concerned. He beats them and is more competitive against them than teams in their own division. I’m not saying he’s top 5 or anything, he’s atrocious within his own division which knocks him down a couple notches but as far as recent HC tenure is concerned he’s for sure top 7. Like having Dan Campbell over him already is absurd. An NFC championship loss and choke job, 2 playoff wins in an easier conference places him ahead of Taylor? Absolutely not. Stefanski over him is also crazy…what does he have…? 1 playoff win during his tenure with Cleveland and not a single division title?

No Mike Tomlin gets much less out of more. Just look at how he squandered most of the HOF elite athletes that he had since 2009. He is undisciplined and a good strategic game plan routinely trumps Mike Tomlin's over-rated leadership and motivation skills. The narrative that Mike Tomlin takes a lousy team (that he created) to overachieve is absolute BS. Quit running cover for Mike Tomlin who should have been fired 10 years ago.

@@NeverSurrender206 yea let’s do some critical thinking last year. I watched a Kenny Pickett be a bottom 40 Qb have a 7-4 record cuz of Tomlin while Trubisky be a retard an try an throw away the szn. Then when the QB3 come in and show what the teams potential could be by putting up points with a VERY injured defense the whole szn to STILL GO TO THE PLAYOFFS….CUZ OF TOMLIN. If you’re not understanding what Tomlin is doing carrying 5,6,7 win teams not just last year but even the last few years with Big Ben. Yes he’s a GREAT coach. If Tomlin had a Lamar or average Qb they would go farther in the playoffs…. Not that hard to understand with context. He’s overachieving getting to the playoffs damn near every year… ofc they gonna lose to Josh Allen and Patrick mahomes with bums at Qb. Bye dummy😭✌🏾

The first time head coaches can’t be rated. We don’t know what the hell they can be or are. They may in fact be the worst or
They may wind up being the best. We don’t know. Rating Callahan at 32 is not fair. Especially since you put the coach of your team, who is also a first time coach and a defensive coach at the, at number 30. And Dave Canalas at 31. First time head coach. Who has the better situation Callahan or Cannales? I would say Callahan does. He has a ton of
Young offensive line talent and his dad is coaching them. Bill Callahan is the reason the Browns have had a top 5 offensive line for the last 6 years period. Canales is in a bad situation. Callahan passed on that job that’s how undesirable the job was. The Panthers owner is the biggest dickhead in the world. He is horrible to work for and the team just isn’t good enough they traded away their best defensive player and their best offensive player in DJ Moore. They have a 5’10’’ 190 lb QB who isn’t particularly fast like Kyler Murray is. So yea Canales would have been my last place pick if I even rated the 1st time coaches.

He has also been the #1 coach in the NFL against the spread since he became HC in Detroit even with his first season where they won only 3 games. His teams always out perform expectations.
