I found recently that pre-dissolving my instant coffee in 1-2oz of COLD water allows it to dissolve fully and doesn't taste burnt after adding hot water. Maybe that'll help with the milk solids. Nice pipe there!
I’ve been bringing Trader Joe’s instant coffee when backpacking. Instant is just easier! Also when camping I usually enjoy my cobs & a nice aromatic. I’m fond of C&Ds “Jolly Old Saint Nick” (great all year long), MM’s “Great Dane”, Lane 1-Q, & I’ve recently tried Carter Hall & really like it.
Instant coffee certainly is just easier while on trail. I am yet to try Carter Hall. The pipe tobacco rabbit hole is never ending, but a lovely journey! Cheers!
@@TrailandBackAgainHow do you like the meerschaum? I got 2 meerschaum pipes when I was at Incirlik AB in Turkey in ‘02 & I only tried one of them once. I think I paid $12 for each! I should probably fire one up again.
@@chriscon8463 I love smoking out of meerschaum pipes. I also have two. This one was from an antique store that I needed to clean up just a bit and the other I purchased in April from The Country Squire in Mississippi. That one will be in a video soon I am sure. I have found I can pull the flavors out of the tobacco much better. And dang, they are just fancy. 😁 That is amazing that you have some that you bought in Turkey!

I can't help w/coffee as I'm a tea guy but anything w/mushrooms is a total crap shoot on flavor, so that's a good thing...
