@@chriscon8463i normally use a fire steel or match for my alcohol stove. I don’t know if that’s going to work unless I dipped a stick in the alcohol and tried to light it with the sparker
Nice little lighter! I’m curious…I wonder if it would light my Trangia alcohol stove? I’ll try lighting it with an electric lighter that’s out of butane before I drop $10.
@@chriscon8463 Holy Crap! It worked!!!! I had to make sure the tip of the igniter was touching the fuel, clicked a few times, but it worked! I put some fuel (denatured alcohol) around the rim on the trangia to see if I could light that, but no luck. 4 times attempting to light the stove by lighting the “reservoir” = 4 successful attempts.
Dumb camp gadgets for newbs. Just find some flint and strike it with your 14" survival knife LIKE A MAN!!!
LOLOLOL. Good stuff Mark!
#belikerambo!!!
As long as there’s use for your needs, it’s not a waste to me
Very fair point!

I like that your fingers will stay out of the way of the flame. better than a lighter, I guess.
I have been putting off buying one because I use an alcohol stove. But I might keep it in mind for a future purchase but I am not in a hurry
That’s what I was wondering: Do we would need a no-kidding flame to start an alcohol stove?

I will test it this afternoon and let you know later today. Cheers!
@@MarkGoesHiking Thanks! I appreciate it!
