William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice is a tragic-comedy where we find a dispute between a Christian and a Jew. A love story brews between Bassanio and Portia. Many interesting situations take place and to enjoy it continue to follow my channel.
In this scene Bassanio has come to Shylock to lend some money from him to go to Belmont. Antonio accompanies him. Shylock has thought upon a plan to revenge upon his enemy, Antonio here. The scene happens to be one of the most interesting ones in The Merchant of Venice.

Shylock was not a good guy but whatever Antonio did with Shylock was worse and as everyone gets the ball in their court one day, Shylock also got and he gratified that chance.
