    I love the subtle implication that this gang was unsuccessfully hunted, with the helmet worn as a shell by the little guy and the greatsword stabbed on the monoblos skull.
    It is doubtful whoever lost these is capable to try and take 'em back now...

    • @kaiser1719
      @kaiser1719 2 месяца назад +20

      That Golem Greatsword could also be the weapon that killed that Monoblos, its wedged in the skull afterall. Hermitaurs are scavengers, so pulling up to what remains of a dead hunter or its palico and so their kill (Monoblos) could be a thing. Whoever was that hunter, he never carted his kill back to the village, which is something that is always done...so he probably never made it back alive in the first place, and judging by the area that greatsword is impaled in...
      I suspect a mutual impalement.

    So the hermitaur are practically the hyenas of the monster world since Hyenas will often go toe to toe with Lions for carcasses. Also that little crab with the jyuratodus helmet for a shell is really cute.

    • @raptowdragon
      @raptowdragon 2 месяца назад +54

      Not hyenas, they are basically crabs and behave like ones) Crabs do the same thing in the wild - if they have a chance to harass somebody off the food, they will. Also, i think demio will just steal the kill to himself, crabs don't like sharing

      @@raptowdragon Really? I always figured crabs were more skittish creatures and it was the monster world that made them seem more aggressive. I never thought real crabs were that bold. @@gioanysgonzalez3396It depends on the size of the crab, most obviously sand crabs you find on the beach won't do this, but deepsea crabs will often swarm carcasses after large predators have opened them up, and chase away all other fish until they had their fill. It is interestig now we see how monsters are attacking in groups can affect a power dynamic. In a straight fight, even three Balahara can be repelled by a Doshaguma, but should a Balahara initiate the quicksand trap, any Doshaguma are helpless; only the Alpha is strong enough to pull itself free. So, while overall more powerful, regular Doshagumas can be outwitted by the leviathans.
