I love the subtle implication that this gang was unsuccessfully hunted, with the helmet worn as a shell by the little guy and the greatsword stabbed on the monoblos skull. It is doubtful whoever lost these is capable to try and take 'em back now...
That Golem Greatsword could also be the weapon that killed that Monoblos, its wedged in the skull afterall. Hermitaurs are scavengers, so pulling up to what remains of a dead hunter or its palico and so their kill (Monoblos) could be a thing. Whoever was that hunter, he never carted his kill back to the village, which is something that is always done...so he probably never made it back alive in the first place, and judging by the area that greatsword is impaled in... I suspect a mutual impalement.
@@kaiser1719 reminds me of that one pair of dinosaur skeletons. They essentially got locked together while fighting each other, and when a sandstorm hit minutes later, the two couldn't manage to get unstuck and ended up buried alive together.
So the hermitaur are practically the hyenas of the monster world since Hyenas will often go toe to toe with Lions for carcasses. Also that little crab with the jyuratodus helmet for a shell is really cute.
Not hyenas, they are basically crabs and behave like ones) Crabs do the same thing in the wild - if they have a chance to harass somebody off the food, they will. Also, i think demio will just steal the kill to himself, crabs don't like sharing
@@raptowdragon Really? I always figured crabs were more skittish creatures and it was the monster world that made them seem more aggressive. I never thought real crabs were that bold. Also you have better eyes then me cause I didn’t even notice other hermitaurs leaving when daimyo showed up. Thank you for clearing that up.
@@gioanysgonzalez3396It depends on the size of the crab, most obviously sand crabs you find on the beach won't do this, but deepsea crabs will often swarm carcasses after large predators have opened them up, and chase away all other fish until they had their fill. Oh also, coconut crabs, they don't have any natural predators I think, so they just pull up on anything dead (human garbage included)
@@jojof3057 and eat birds by catching them lacking, climbing tree's to sleeping/resting birds before basically pinning them then eating them alive since they don't really give a damn if their alive or not. Nutritients are nutrients. Coconut crabs do that you have a video of it happening.

This is a pretty clever interpretation lol (the description) and I'd love for the games to keep up these kinda events/be inspired by your videos to have more of them. I LOVE Monster-watching sometimes and just seeing their loops and where they go to eat or drink is cool!
I like the idea of carapaceon shells having weapons/armour stuck on them. Would be cool in Wilds if there were secret weapons and armour that you could find like that. Sorta like crystal lizards in Dark Souls

If you think about it, despite being a literal giant crab, Hermitaurs can actually defend themselves from other large monsters and do a great job at being obligate scavengers.
Hey there the videos you put out are quiet spectacular and i really enjoy them alot However i just got an idea on my head a sort of video idea for you So i thought about a video on the rotten vale monsters singing along the tunes of Food glorious food as they see a either a new batch of hunters or the Nerscylla and tetsucabra baby again I know you might be busy working on your next project already or won't even make it, But hey it's your channel your videos you do what you want.
I thought it'd just be the Hermitaurs, when a Daimyo is in the equation I side with the rathian here its way too risky to try fighting something so armored and with a spear no less, she could easily get seriously injured, or even grounded.

It is interestig now we see how monsters are attacking in groups can affect a power dynamic. In a straight fight, even three Balahara can be repelled by a Doshaguma, but should a Balahara initiate the quicksand trap, any Doshaguma are helpless; only the Alpha is strong enough to pull itself free. So, while overall more powerful, regular Doshagumas can be outwitted by the leviathans.

You'd expect a flying wyvern to fly off with its meal. But its hard to wonder what their ecological mentality would be, like would they fly off to a safaer place like a leopard would bring a meal up a tree or would they eat enough on the spot and then leave the rest without care like shown
We know Rathalos would pick up their meal and fly off when they cannot scare away a competitor that is on equal level as himself based on Tri opening movie, but other than that it's pretty much unknown if other flight-cappable wyverns does the same though
Huh, i wonder if some less intelligent predator could be chased away from their kill by Hermitaur waving a large, threatening skull. Rathian understood it was skull part that was coming at her, but left due to it being dangerous enough. Less intelligent creature might run off from seeing the skull itself, mistaking it for larger, more dangerous predator.
That is probably what they're for considering how monoblos are supposedly strong enough to fight off most predators, I have no doubts an enraged monoblos bull could take on a deviljho.
Reminds me of those terrifyingly accurate pieces of fan art that shows the MH Monsters killing each other. Wilds should just have a random character be torn apart by a Doshaguma or smth, since they're trying to be "dark" and "edgy"
While i do like the more dynamic camera angles, i feel like they take away a Little bit from the naturalistic feel. The older entries really felt like a camera recording the monsters, whereas this style, while very cool, feels a Little bit more artificial with the cuts and all.
What if you used the scene from Spongebob where Patrick uses Squidward's toilet was using the same scene from MH Freedom Unite where the Congalonga farts on that Hermitaur screaming to put him out of his misery!
