Can-am was created as a subsidiary to Bombardier in the 1970s, so bombardier was never “bought out” by can-am. They just decided to bring back the name in the mid-2000s. And that’s why you still see the BRP (Bombardier Recreational Product) logo on every can-am, sea-doos, ski-doo etc.
Bombardier just didn’t build quads and the outdoors stuff they also used to build trains for the airports and now in to the space stuff and the can-am is own by the kids the owner gave can-am brand
Christian and yourself should take it to Performance East, they would appreciate just seeing such a gem of a four wheeler it is. Such a blast from the past.
@relese_thebeast7299formula 3s, mach 1s and mach zs were truly insane. Powerhouses and highly customizable. Mainly crankshop that supplied aftermarket parts but a few other brands worked on them. I had a 97 mach 1 700 triple and for an F chassis ski doo (which I guess you could call bombardier) was a pretty quick sled. Doesn't compare to zrt 600s but when they released the ck3 chassis in 1999 the mach 1s and mach zs were just unmatched in their class.
My grandpa bought the exact same one back in 2005 and still only has 58 hours and was a hunting rig still has everything including manual and all still the best machine I have to this day
Absolute beasts. I had an 03 which I think was the first year, identical to this one. It’s pronounced Bombardi A because it’s a French Canadian company. Go through dam near anything with good tires on it. Plus it’s still in the family.
Polaris had the Xplorer 400 2 stroke from 1996 - 2002. I had one & loved that thing. Super fun for what they are & what they are mainly used for.. mine was pretty reliable too but it was the 02
Bombardier (Bom-Bard-Yay) was the company that founded Can-Am in 1972 do produce dirt bikes which ended in 1985, Bombardier founded Ski-Doo in 1959 and Sea-Doo in 1968. Bombardier introduced the Outlander in 2003 under the Bombardier named and later changed it to the Can-Am Outlander in 2007 (The BRP logo on current day Can-Am is for Bombardier Recreational Products, who owns Can-Am, Ski-Doo, and multiple outboard manufacturers), Bombardier also produces airplanes and trains
Not to mention the can am Spyder which is a super weird 3 wheeled motorcycle where there are two front wheels and a single rear wheel compared to the normal "trike" configuration of a three wheeled motorcycle.
They don't produce airplanes and trains, but they make parts for them, just like Pratt&Whitney and the likes. (I'm another LocalFrenchCanadianDumbass and worked for a company that made parts for Bombardier and P&W back in the days)
My dad had one of those, and he told me it's just like how it is today because back then, they had a polaris magnum, and my Dad said that they would be competing with each other. That's some hell of a bike braydon.
Really cool bike can see why they became so popular, had a lot of features other bikes at the time which would start to give BRP a better slice of market as Honda would rule the roost at the time.
We have a 2002 500 bombardier traxter XT. Less then 500 miles on it. Unique step through seat design and can choose between thumb shift and automatic. Was a beast in its day still works like it’s new.
I believe the 420 Rancher didn't come out until 2007. In 2004 the Rancher was definitely still a square body 350cc. Great video! I love the vintage Bombardier and 1st Gen Outlanders!
Hey Braydon you have got me through my dad up and leaving and my dog dying You are the best RUclipsr I’ve seen by far You keep me staying positive everyday
braydon i’m a really big fan u have inspired me to start my own youtube channel and now i’m about to make my first youtube video all because of watching you has inspired me to be like u ur the best youtuber out there don’t let anyone tell u different and hopefully one day i’ll be able to afford a can am like you
I love this guy he always makes my day and me and my cousin watch him and I was just like OMG I need to stand this to him. I sadly have a Honda recon 1998 but the old four wheelers you can’t kill them
When I was in middle school I had a kodiak 400 and my neighbor got an outty 400. I had stock size mud lites on my kodiak and his outty was a stock xt. That beast blew mine outta the water in the mud snow ice and speed plus it rode like a cloud. Canam/bombardier has always been superior.
Owned one of these in yellow a few years ago and sold it, shouldn’t have it was about as reliable as they come, only problem is finding parts when it does break. Sold it to a friend near me it was also in similar condition except graphics. Might be able to get ahold of it if your interested
So ski doo saw that there was a niche in the new 4x4 wheeler market back in late 90s . Hence the Bombardier was born to rival with the Artic cat . Then the company basically wanted to seperate them selfs from being a snowmobile manufacturing company .The DVX if I remember correctly at one point was made by artic cat and bombadier then became can am only . It was a Polaris outlaw aswell I think. Bunch of companies basically just rebranding same design . So again it was time to differentiate.
Here me out, if Brayden buys it and builds it, the only appropriate mods would be from the era. I'm talkin 27x12 og outlaws or mudzillas. Itp Steel wheels, hmf pipe and the jetting to go with it. I'd love to see that but it's almost too clean to do it 😂
Bombardier has always owned can am, they also own ski doo, sea doo, and I think a few other things, I think it was in 2003 that bombardier rebranded as BRP.
Bombardier is pronounced “Bom-bardie-ay” is known majorly for aircraft. Their jets fly airlines like United and American. But they also have a well-known private plane line known as the Bombardier Global Fleet.
My dad bought a brand new outlander 400 in 2005 and put over 14k miles on it. Kicks himself everyday for selling it. Absolutely indestructible and reliable motor
braydon i have a 1987 honda 250cc four wheeler and the only thing done to it is i painted the rims and put new front tires on it and i still rip it in the woods and go mudding don't you just love them honda there bullet proof
And another fact that I’m fairly certain about is that “CAN-AM” stands for “Canadian-American” because bombardier was a Canadian company that also started making sales inside of the U.S.
Yup
Lol. At least someone knows the history. Can am bought Bombardier….. hhaha this guy could do news for CNN lol. Clean unit though.
Also one of the only Canadian companies Americans will know well. Still Canadian owned to this day
Bombardier just didn’t build quads and the outdoors stuff they also used to build trains for the airports and now in to the space stuff and the can-am is own by the kids the owner gave can-am brand
the fact that Brayden don’t know what a Bombardier is, is wild
i know i had the same reaction just now.
Christian and yourself should take it to Performance East, they would appreciate just seeing such a gem of a four wheeler it is. Such a blast from the past.
Yes please
right on
@relese_thebeast7299 CAN-AM/ BRP Bombardier Outlander 400 HO 2004

Yesss
It’s so cool to see bombardier four wheelers finally getting attention I have a 2004 bombardier 650 quest and it’s amazing
My grandpa bought the exact same one back in 2005 and still only has 58 hours and was a hunting rig still has everything including manual and all still the best machine I have to this day
damnnnn
My grandpa has a 2005 too is his a 2 up with 400 cc?
He only has like 65 hours on it
Absolute beasts. I had an 03 which I think was the first year, identical to this one. It’s pronounced Bombardi A because it’s a French Canadian company. Go through dam near anything with good tires on it. Plus it’s still in the family.
That thing is sooo cleannn man, mad respect to the guy who kept it up and clean like that for so many years!
Polaris had the Xplorer 400 2 stroke from 1996 - 2002. I had one & loved that thing. Super fun for what they are & what they are mainly used for.. mine was pretty reliable too but it was the 02
I own one awesome bike
we had one when i grew up

Someone had to tell him how to say it
Not to mention the can am Spyder which is a super weird 3 wheeled motorcycle where there are two front wheels and a single rear wheel compared to the normal "trike" configuration of a three wheeled motorcycle.
SOMEONE PLEASE TEACH THESE GUYS ABOUT BRP PRODUCTS AND HOW TO SAY IT
They don't produce airplanes and trains, but they make parts for them, just like Pratt&Whitney and the likes. (I'm another LocalFrenchCanadianDumbass and worked for a company that made parts for Bombardier and P&W back in the days)
@@devodan1411 I had to, im from like an hour where Bombardier was founded
Hope u guys keep it that clean
Whoever sees this I believe that you will make it far in life 👍
I wish
I’m young
I hope so
I’m a failure
Thanks man I needed that today
I was watching this video waiting for that light bulb to go off and you realize what BRP stood for 😂
Saw this on Christians channel, definitely a clean machine for the year
I seen it on Christian’s channel too
Best four wheeler ever made specially because it’s Canadian
My dad had one of those, and he told me it's just like how it is today because back then, they had a polaris magnum, and my Dad said that they would be competing with each other. That's some hell of a bike braydon.

Hands down one of the best quads in its time period
I won’t stop petitioning for Braydon to race his outlander against 336 Mud Mafia outlander until the video comes out
Definitely a bike to keep stock and keep as a show bike they definitely got history
here comes the "it's always a good day when braydon post" posts
We have a 2002 500 bombardier traxter XT. Less then 500 miles on it. Unique step through seat design and can choose between thumb shift and automatic. Was a beast in its day still works like it’s new.
That’s vintage ❤️ Yes bombardier is the owner of Can Am and Sea doo as well 💪🏼
Also Evinrude
The Honda Foremen 450 is a pretty solid four wheeler and they made them in 2001-2004
it’s never a bad day when Braydon uploads bangers

I believe the 420 Rancher didn't come out until 2007.

Fr man😭
Like how tf you be a can am fanboy and dont know what bombardier is
You need to buy that thing sick
I love how Christian has to buy something new for Braydon every month, such a W friend 🔥💪💯🇺🇸🔥
It’s still Christians
Brando if you get it pls keep it stock. And so yall know the gen one can am was in 2012.
Hey Brayden love the videos keep up the good work
It’s kinda sad that I’m 12 and I knew what a bombardeir was before him
13 and knew what that was in a second
Bro not me having one
Please do more builds, it was always cool to see the transformation

Most people pronounce it “bomb-uh-deer” they actually still use that name for seadoos and skidoos
Thank you, it was killing me that they were saying it wrong 😂
Good video and have a Good day
Braydon needs to buy a can-am like that and snorkel it and make it a mud bike
Waiting on the xxc build is making me very impatient! Can’t wait to see it!!!
That’s an awesome piece of history dude
Can am, skidoo, and sea doo are made in the bombardier factory's and are wings of the big company
Brandon price you're the best
you should get a bombardier quest i seen one last week and they look so goofy imo
I love this guy he always makes my day and me and my cousin watch him and I was just like OMG I need to stand this to him. I sadly have a Honda recon 1998 but the old four wheelers you can’t kill them
I think Braydon wouldn't have got one if it wasn't for Christian
BRP makes ski Doo snowmobiles too! And bombardier used to make them too
We have one of those quads now just little bit older I think. Not as good condition but still rips
This was definitely my favorite unit back when soggybottombyz was popular
When I was in middle school I had a kodiak 400 and my neighbor got an outty 400. I had stock size mud lites on my kodiak and his outty was a stock xt. That beast blew mine outta the water in the mud snow ice and speed plus it rode like a cloud. Canam/bombardier has always been superior.
you should take It out on the pit bike track to test the performents.
That thing belongs on display at Performance East for all to enjoy seeing.
I have one if the model before that and it has a half sweat and is open in the front for old people
Owned one of these in yellow a few years ago and sold it, shouldn’t have it was about as reliable as they come, only problem is finding parts when it does break. Sold it to a friend near me it was also in similar condition except graphics. Might be able to get ahold of it if your interested
If that blows you away, you should see the step through atvs they had before that!
Braydon you should be a history teacher
I grew up on a quad like that they are really nice 4 wheelers
Bomb boarder is how we have always pronounced it before BRP took over. Since this one is a 400 ide like to see it up against the new Honda 400!
never seen it before so cool to see an og
Most of the arctic cats and suzukis in the 90s had independent suspension.
Christian lee / braydons camera man gave him that quad
my buddy had a gen 1 outlander and we had rzr wheels and tires on it, thing was a beast
My dad and older brother had the Bombardier Traxtor’s they were some awesome quads!
I have a 03 outlander with 2200 on it. Still runs to this day.
So ski doo saw that there was a niche in the new 4x4 wheeler market back in late 90s . Hence the Bombardier was born to rival with the Artic cat . Hey Braydon in 2004 they had a Honda rancher 350! I have a 2004 Honda rancher 350 electric shift it’s mint
you should take one of those older outlanders and throw one of the v twins out of the newer outlanders into it
Here me out, if Brayden buys it and builds it, the only appropriate mods would be from the era. I'm talkin 27x12 og outlaws or mudzillas. Itp Steel wheels, hmf pipe and the jetting to go with it. I'd love to see that but it's almost too clean to do it 😂
When I was little I actually thought it was “ Braydon rippin price”!🤣🤣
Leave it stock and hang on to it. Maybe some new tires but I'd leave it like it is. Great conversation piece for sure. Kinda like a classic car.
Look at the new Can-Am in the back with the mud tiles in the packages. I wonder when you post a video about that😊
Hey Brandon, yes I’ve got 3 of them. The same one as that one and two yellow 2x4 330cc. Mine has 80+ hours and I love it.
I wanna see Brayden try out one of the new Polaris scramblers go back to his roots
Bombardier has always owned can am, they also own ski doo, sea doo, and I think a few other things, I think it was in 2003 that bombardier rebranded as BRP.
I remember the bombardiers mostly for the ds650 and reading magazines they had some weird ATVs look up the 2 seaters😂
Braydon is so fascinated with this unit he should just buy it from Christian 👌
braydon!!!!! you need the same bombardier 400
its so clean
Bombardier is pronounced “Bom-bardie-ay” is known majorly for aircraft. Their jets fly airlines like United and American. But they also have a well-known private plane line known as the Bombardier Global Fleet.
Which atv company makes the best atv and side by side
Polaris or Can-am
What a beauty ❤❤😊😊
Bom-A-Deer, they make great sleds. Great machines on snowmobiles, idk about an outlander😂
We need a comparison of the bombardier and when they renamed it to the original can-am
lets not light this one on fire
I have the OG bombadair bomb whatever renagade 50cc
i had a 400 like yours and honestly it was bad ass!!! even on stocks.
My dad bought a brand new outlander 400 in 2005 and put over 14k miles on it. Kicks himself everyday for selling it. Absolutely indestructible and reliable motor

You should get a outlander 700 and build it I think that would be cool
You can tell that cristian doesn’t want to sell it
Nice rare wheeler great condition
The Polaris 700 twin was the biggest four-wheeler back then in the early 2000s because I have one and it's from 2004
Can am,sea doo, and ski doo are all still bombardier
Fun fact if u didn’t know can am basically changed the names of the BRP machines and that’s what BRP stands for is Bombardier racing products 😁 👍🏻
Mb i commented this early in the vid 💀 so I didn’t know Braydon would find out 😂😂soooo my bad 😅
And another fact that I’m fairly certain about is that “CAN-AM” stands for “Canadian-American” because bombardier was a Canadian company that also started making sales inside of the U.S.
Hey Brayden i’ve got a 2006 outlander 650 mint condition barley seen mud less then 50 hrs. Im also im the nc/va line.
Braydon. U should buy it from Christian and turn it into a mud quad for bri
