I remember a story about George Meuller. He prayed every day for his friend to get saved. George died and his friend came to his funeral. The pastor preached a sermon about George and his friend accepted Christ at George's funeral. His prayers were answered after he died.

Wow! This made me cry. I’ve been praying for a person who is very dear to me to get saved. Sometimes it is hard because I think we tend to want it to happen now or we even get discourage, however I think about how my mother told me that she would pray for me to come to our Lord and by God’s grace and mercy I did in the summer of 2020. I’m not entirely sure how long she has prayed but I’m sure it’s been a while since when I was young (6th grade) I remember her always telling me about Jesus. I’m a senior in High School now. I see how great God is and amazed on how He works, which gives me hope and your story as well that one day the heavens will rejoice when my dear friend gets saved and I hope I can rejoice as well when and if I find out. Hi, when I was applying for a jobs I would try my best but then tell myself that “rejection is God’s protection” it was a bit hard since I got rejected from like two jobs that I wanted. But by the end of January, I was able to find a job that finally accepted me and hired me on the spot. And I know I’ll like working there and it pays great. I say pray to God and keep applying and don’t get discouraged.

I am ashamed to admit I've likely shown less faith than most. My negative upbringing had left me in a hugely negative state for most of my life. The biggest battle for me was to trust God every day since being saved.

I’ve been trying to be faithful to God and let Him open my doors of opportunities and not rush ahead of Him... It’s so hard, I’ve never been in a relationship and am thankful for that (some days) because I am getting closer to Him. I’ve been stuck in quarantine and used that time to get even closer to Him also to work on certain areas in my life. I know He knows the Desires of my Heart and I feel like He’s getting me ready to be in relationship but I’m so impatient.
Yes, patience is key but also not wasting the season he does have you in by thinking too much about the future :)

Hi Mark, it's amazing how little I know about God. I tend to think that God will always acts in a particular way, but it is clearly shown that He doesn't. It seems we can't know for sure what God is up to, even though we can sense His leading at times, until He has done what He has done.

I wouldn't say it needs to go away or "die", but it is helpful to fully accept the possibility of singleness if that is what God called you to, while still being fully honest with the Lord that you want to be married because that is a good desire he is pleased with. This mindset actually increases your readiness for marriage in my view :)

Great video, Mark. #4 really stands out because the idea of letting something die to be resurrected sounds brutal but it's what gives our testimony power as it did with the disciples testifying on Christ's resurrection.
Thanks for explaining more about how God answers our prayers since it seems arguing with His "No" could be seen as rebellious in certain doctrinal circles. The stories the gentile woman pleading with Jesus after He denied her and of Abraham bargaining with God over Sodom and Gomorrah, plus Jacob wrestling with God and being blessed as the father of the 12 tribes of Israel proves God wants us to sometimes respectfully contend with Him as His friends and children not just servants "Who do not know what their Master is doing." #5 is really important too and I'll meditate on it.

Yeah, i agree to this. Its true. The devil and the demons are actually God’s stick to either discipline, chastise, or punish people, or a roadblock to lead you towards the right direction. The devil is God’s tool.

I see evil happening but my specific task isn't to face & defeat it yet even so my assignment still serves God & even as the other evils happen & wound my heart they still offer a form of teaching even if it is merely observing someone else learning something more of God.

From June - October 2020 I was experiencing both the work and sinful relationship scenarios. God wanted me to rest and I took on another job and it was the worst thing I have ever experienced in my life. The relationship was counterfeit and did not edify God, but I stayed as to not be "judgmental" because he was a church guy (as opposed to what my partner should be - a man of God). This started and ended at the same time. Although I did it in good faith, it was disobedience to God as He just wanted me to wait and trust in Him.

Ive come to understand that God allows us to wait even when He has promised certain things, while we wait, we have the faith believing that the Lord will fulfill His promise in His timing, which is best, God's no doesn't mean it's denied, GLORY to the sovereignty of God Almighty, Amen

Dear lord...the idea that we must never doubt or question God is insane. I can assure you that God, and Jesus, want us to question them. That does not mean that we will not do as they wish or desire, but that while we doubt them, we still follow on faith. If you do not wonder why God asks what he does, but follow his will anyway, you are not showing faith. If we understand everything and then follow "the plan," we don't have faith at all. It is only when when we truly question God himself, but still follow his will, that we demonstrate our faith.
And to anyone struggling with anything, my advice is to simply let go. No matter what it is, let go and trust God. There is a belief that the path to hell is wide and paved with good intentions and the path to heaven is narrow...the truth is that the both of those paths lead to hell and the way to heaven is to walk off both of them and, when you get to the edged of a cliff, keep walking in faith in the lord.
