Did Riding in Winter Destroyed My E-Bike's Battery?

  • Last winter, I tested the range of my e-bike, which turned out to be significantly less than my initial range test under normal conditions. I was informed that riding in freezing temperatures can severely impact the battery's capacity, leading to reduced range even in the summer. To determine if the battery was permanently damaged, I decided to conduct another range test and compare the results with my previous tests.
I have conducted three range tests with this Engwe M20 e-bike. In all tests, I rode on a similar path and at a similar speed.
    1st test:
    Air temperature: 10°C
    Average speed: 25 km/h
    Range: 42 km
    2nd test:
    Air temperature: -10°C
    Average speed: 25 km/h
    Range: 26 km
    3rd test:

You should have compared 10 degrees with 10 degrees or 25 degrees with 25. In this video you don't prove anything.

In this video, I proved that those occasional rides I took in freezing temperatures didn't ruin the battery. It still provides a similar range as in the beginning.
