Brilliant information ☺️, i like it. It really taking some of us time to meet up with one. Nursing Exams become more difficult every day. I remember when i wrote mine, I failed with 75 questions. On the day of the exam, I got my period and a migraine that lasted 2 days+. I had used Nursing Archieve and Uworld and did well on them. On the exam day when it came to questions where I had to analyze and think critically I could not because reading and thinking were impossible for me. I remember hitting question 60 and practically crying. I wanted the test to end couldn't take it anymore the pain was waaay too much. I ended up failing with 75 questions. TBH I believe I didn't prepare myself enough psychologically and wasted most of my time on things I shouldn't have. On some days before my exam, I would disassociate and procrastinate which made my anxiety worse. On the day of the exam, I couldn't even hold any information in my head for more than 10 seconds. I reread most questions more than 3 times. My advice: if you're prone to health issues (eg Anemia, IBS, migraine, GAD, etc). Take your medication, eat properly according to your diet requirements, make a study schedule and stick to it, do practice questions or review even when you're anxious (it helps with coming to terms with the unknown), rest, do not study the day before, and know pass or fail it is not the end of the world.
Took my test today and no good pop up I got over 150 questions this is my 3rd attempt 😳 I graduated in 2012 and put it on hold but I began studying last year. So I’ll try again in July after I purchase Archer. I only used Mark K, Saunders and Simple Nursing.
@@priscillakumahrn hi Priscilla Hi I'm m gonna take my NCLEX exam on the 2nd week of June. I have a 1 month preparation. Do you think it’s enough? What can tips can you recommend for me? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance 😊
From my experience on taking the NCLEX, I was very stressed, I knew it would be a great challenge. What I can recommend: 1. Evaluate what your overall strengths are, for example you are good with case studies because you have fun with them instead of feeling pressure. Another example could be feeling comfortable sitting for 2 hours answering questions. Enlist your strength. 2. Identify what topic is harder from the rest. So that you will know for sure that you need to study content. 3. A good advice I have heard, and I agree, is to study only with one program. So we don’t get confused. 4. Designate the hours to study per day. 5. Start answering at least 85 questions in a row. When you finished review every single one. Read the rationale and remediate if necessary. Identify why did you get an answer wrong (lack of content, misunderstood the question), and also why did you get an answer right. Don’t go to other set of questions until you finished reviewing the previous one. 6. Increase the number of questions gradually. 7. Get comfortable with case studies. 8. Extra tip: safety first when caring for a patient/client. On test day. 1. Bring a small snack. 2. Be prepared for long case studies. 3. Take the first break (5-10 min), at hour 2, our brain needs rest. Have your snack, go to the restroom, have a sip of water. On Instagram Nclex questions and videos from Sophia_rn01 are really good. I felt that the content she has was on the NCLEX. Her pagel is sophia_rn01. And I also studied with Kaplan.
Priscilla Can you please do a video on UK universiry nursing degrees that are comparable to the US and obtained the ATT for the nclex exam. I have been watching your content along with Nurses to Riches channel and my worst fear is to complete a nursing degree here in the UK and CGNS say that my education is not comparable to the US help me please 😭🙏
Thank you love, I'm a HCA here in the UK for over 2 years and I'm looking on taking a accelerated bsn nursing degree, there are very few of these here but I'm afraid of it not being comparable to the US and being stuck here in the UK@@priscillakumahrn
Hi RN Priscilla..please I have a question... I’ve Registered for ielts general for Uk and also I have a contract with an agency (yet to be signed ) for NCLEX ... I was wondering if I can still write my ielts and get a job in the uk and still be able to sign the contract for the NCLEX ....So that if I get to the UK with the ielts for the carer job I can still be in the process for the NCLEX...please is it possible
