    Hello Ladies! I came to USA 14 years ago with no healthcare training. I attended CNA school for 6 week took the State Board exams and pass and then I was able to work as a CNA. You need to have a license to work as aCNA in a longterm facility, the license is renewed every 2 years. Long story short today I am a RN . I loved being a CNA and it has made me a great Nurse. Not a depressing job at all.

    I was a CNA for 8 yearsI worked home health and nursing skill facilities. 2003 I apply to work in an acute care setting hospital where they train you to be a PCT only different is the healthcare. She is basically right in the United States It is better to get your CNA or your medical assistant if you have never worked in the medical profession it gives you your basics. Also, in the USA 90% nursing schools want you to either be a CNA,medical assistant, PCT or EMT before you apply they want you to have basic training.

      Not sure about 90% of companies asking for such experience. While working towards RN you have to get some hours in the clinical setting here in NY, whether or not you have experience in the titles mentioned.

    Only assistant living places will hire people with no certification and you will make minimum wage or very close to it. Certified nursing assistants where I am that are make around $23hr and still
    Struggle to pay their bills because cost of living and I’m in the Midwest where cost of living is considered low compared to east and west coast.

    It is easier now to work as RN in the US.
    The US immigration journey (EB3) of my son as a RN took 5 months and 3 weeks from the date he was interviewed virtually by his hospital employer up to the time he received his immigrant visa (US embassy Manila).
    If you are a RN, it is better to take the NCLEX and IELTS then apply to a direct hire agency like WWHSS as mentioned by Priscilla 👍

    To become a CNA one also has to take a state test upon completion of the class and hands on trainings,and base on that they are able to work under that license.Not too many health care settings in the USA will hire one without a valid license.Because that valid license enable a healthcare setting to trace a person in an event of an abuse, or neglect to patients while providing cares.

    Please ma will it still be the agency that will make provision of accommodation for you in the USA after taking you over for the work?

  • @Helen-yj1sn
    @Helen-yj1sn Год назад +16

    To become a nursing assistant in USA you have to train and do a state examination given by certified body.. After passing exam you are given a license to work and you are registered with the state body which allow you to work for old and people with disabilities. This license is renewed every two years with some conditions. But there is working like a caregiver where you don't need a certificate but you are just given a job like an ordinary maid.

    Priscilla is very right by saying agencies in USA 🇺🇸 are always willing to invest in RN who are willing to take up CNA or Nurse aide offer than recruiting CNA to come over to USA

    • @Rosemary-op3rz
      @Rosemary-op3rz Год назад +2

      @@lilianikeh6382 I don’t recommend it. I live in L.A. CNA’s make an average of $25 an hour but a 2 bedroom apartment is going to cost you a minimum of $3,000 a month, you’ll need a car so you’ll have a car note on a $40,000 car, groceries are expensive, etc. Try to come as an LVN or RN. If you move to the East Coast or the Midwest be prepared for snow. The pro’s outweigh the cons. God Bless your endeavors.

    I am a CNA and I've gotten an offer in the USA before, in fact, I was interviewed. So they accept CNAs too but I think only if you apply directly to the hospitals not through an agency.
