God bless nurse Belinda, by the grace of God, I came across her channel, that was last year October or November because i was studying for my life in the UK. Her atep to step videos was so helpful. And I passed it and i am in the process to het my UK passport soon by the grace of God, i have already my Belgium passport, but after 15 years in the UK and me having my indefinite remain to leave, I have decided to secure the UK passport and especially now they're out the UK.
So, next only God knows. But i have already watch her video a month ago when she explained everything about how her nursing UK degree wasn't recognised.
But I will say, it's encouraging to see other UK nurses who didn't have the same issue also. So , if God has open the door for you, meaning like it will be for you.
Thank you Nanelle God bless you.

So the UK’s Adult Nursing school doesn’t fill up the Gynaecology, Mental health, and Children’s nursing aspects. But there are a few Nurses who trained in the UK and have moved to the US because during their training, they filled the hours of children’s nursing and mental health, as well as midwifery (by doing spoke placements). But to get these spaces are difficult.

So let me explain this a bit. To become an RN in the US, you must have studied for at least three years in a program conferring on you the duties and privileges of a registered "general nurse". It could be a degree or a diploma. In the US, any other specialty in nursing is done at the postgraduate level. This into concept, if you study Adult nursing, Midwifery, Mental Health Nursing , Anaesthesiology as your undergraduate degree in any other country, you might be turned down although it is not always the case. If this happens, use another credential evaluation body such as ERES, WES, etc . I strongly advise aspiring USRNs to pursue a degree in General Nursing and move to America before specializing. That's much easier.

@@things_can_only_get_better2179 Hello. Do you know any UK trained nurse that used ERES and got comparable result? Trying to gather information for my sister in the UK. I trained as an Rn here in the US

@@lindaasidanya8540 I personally do not know one. However, I know midwives who trained directly as midwives in Africa and used ERES and their certificate was converted to an ADN which made them eligible for the NCLEX- RN. They however will practice as RNs in the US and not RMs since Midwifery is a postgraduate program in the US. So just contact some of the Credential Evaluation Companies that are accepted by the state she intends to have her initial registration with and I think they will give that information to give you .

From my experience once your get your immigration status sorted and get your social security number in the USA, you can re apply for your nursing license with New York State Nursing Board , they don’t require CGFNS evaluation, they do their own evaluation in-house.
They will process it and give you a green light to take the Nclex.
Once you pass and receive your license in New York State you can endorse it to the State that you’re residing.
You don’t have to take the CGFNS route if you have the green card.
Note: Accelerated Nursing degree is ridiculously expensive in the USA.

Yes oo west African men are good o😂 God Ehe everyone is leaving to US very soon we won’t have nurses and doctors in the uk again I fear for the uk healthcare system I hope it doesn’t get to that stage😢 they had better do something about the payment system so people can rush back o😢 meanwhile this determination and motivation is what I need in my life…Omoh this one shock me.. best thing is being with someone that has same insights as yourself or can push you to be better too…Africa is great regardless you can imagine.. May God grant her heart desires❤ so Nanelle your leaving us too whala 😂
