A great, honest review :) nice to see there are still a few decent pieces at value brands like Mango. I bought some jeans for them years ago, and they have held up surprisingly well

Mango is like the poor man's Massimo Dutti especially when it comes to discounts. I found Mango to offer bigger discounts, although I must say, their quality is rather hit or miss. Only upside to Mango is they offer more non-knit options compared to MD - I love MDs knit t-shirt and all that, but caring for them can be taxing. It is certainly miles ahead of Zara especially in terms of what you're getting!

I more or less agree with most of the takeaways here. Their leather jacket is okay, good deal if its on sale but need to be careful with the hardware.
Most of their stuff that have synthetic content are shit, especially their polyester, and it will pile. Synthetic like polyester normally wouldn't pile as you can manipulate their fiber length so if it pile that means the quality is absolute dogshit.
Sizing are a bit all over the place so I would suggest trying it on in store.
Their linen stuff is not good quality. It piles and some of them are super sheer/thin.
Their suiting, for me is not that good either. The stitches are wanky and very much not neat.
Their knitwear are trash-y yes but I had a couple of their 100% merino stuff and its not that bad but its not good either. For me its extremely flimsy so I would only consider it on deep sale and if I like the colour.
I actually like their leather belt, especially the mesh one but would only consider buying on sale.
For me the best piece of advise I can offer in buying Mango is to avoid shopping online because on the app/site everything looks so nice but the moment you see them in store its shit.

Surprised by how bad the materials are (so much polyester) in 2024 when even fast fashion brands like Zara have been leaning towards 100% cotton/ 100%linen/100%wool on most of their items over the last 3 years

Well Zara is still using blends on most of their clothes but just few are 100% cotton or linen

@@EnduringAttireThere are plenty of items at Zara which are 100% natural material based or natural material blends. Are you sure you are up to date on it? Even H&M updated their quality by introducing a good amount of natural materials used unlike some previous years… btw I found some 10 year old H&M pieces, multiple 100% wool sweaters which are still holding up well and are of excellent quality. When did the quality drop?

@@grobertii see most pieces are a blend. maybe there are regional differences.

@@esanof I think it is just a matter of price. You should be looking at their more expensive products, not the lower end ones

@@groberti You are right. Price is something we should consider when discussing quality. Zara probably caters to a wide public, and so the quality of their products varies.

      Yep that's true :)
Mainly they use elastane, try to avoid it, if the cut is straight could be good, but they don't offer different size lengths, usually tend to be short for me, but if it works for you could be decent

The quality and design has really gone down the drain. Especially for the not so expensive stuff!! It’s trash! I bought a summer dress and even the buttons were not sewed on properly and the quality and the cut were so weird even though it was a simple dress!! And the sizing- don’t even get me started!! Whoever is the designer should be fired!
