I thrift Ralph Lauren 100% cotton cable knit sweaters and I love them! The quality of the cotton feels softer than the ones I touch in stores today. 😅 And it’s crazy how there’s not a single stain or hole or snag, they’re pretty much brand new. Highly recommend! Would also love a review on Luca Faloni as I would want to buy a sweater from them in future to try out cashmere or silk-cashmere :)
Recently, by accident, I set the washing machine to a 90c drum cleaning program and there is nothing wrong with my polo shirt. It hasn't shrunk, it's the same size and everything is fine
Do NOT buy Ralph Lauren at outlets, except you really know what you’re doing! RL produces garments with reduced quality specifically for outlets to push up their margins. You won’t get the actual classic PRL product like on the website, but a rough approximation with the same logo but worse quality.
@@brucewayne5342 Because it is not true. In outlets they sell typically their lower end product line but these can also be bought regularly and have regularly not the best quality. The outlet bad quality stuff is for RL an urban legend. Maybe it was true 10 years ago.
Yes heard that too from Style forum, I think if it's The Outlet Store It might be different even with different labels but from Zalando online for example I don't think so, I've seen even some times the same models they offer at full price there just reduced
What I really metioned buying a polo shirt from them is the material quality is really bad i wash it 4 times and it already starts to get pilling all over the garment
Which ones ?? I got 2 new for this video, the beige made in Turkey and the other in Vietnam, both ok but nothing great, in their online store I haven't seen any pique made of Pima cotton
@@EnduringAttire It is called „Pima Soft Cotton Polo“, i got it in Custom Slim Fit. It has 3 buttons instead of 2 and the polo player is multi coloured.
@@rudimussrodeln Correct. I only buy RL shirts with the multicolored logos. I noticed a longtime ago that theyre slightly better quality than the plain logo shirts.
I use to wear only polo shirts from ralph lauren for more than 20years but I stopped buying them since 2016 because they changed their fit and quality, polo ralph lauren is now garbage.
In a video on RUclips, Ralph Lauren had manufactured a few high end wristwatches with Swiss movements with his name and logo. Yet the same video shows Ralph Lauren always wearing Cartier on his wrist. If a designer won't wear his own products, that should be signal to consumers. LOL.
It's disappointing to hear that the quality of RL polo shirts has declined. I have RL polo shirts that are 30 years old and they haven shrunk nor faded. Nowadays, I prefer polo shirts from Yeossal. Last month I bought some RL Polo shorts. I took them to dry cleaner and I noticed that some of the pocket buttons broke. That had never happened to me. I looked at some older RL shorts I owned and the quality of buttons was better in my old RL shorts than my new RL shorts. I think the RL Purple Label is more in-line with my style these days but I only buy it when it's on significantly marked down on sale. You can definitely get the RL Purple Label look for less from several companies and save money.
I'd perfer Lacoste polo than Ralph Lauren, or any cashmere/fine merino ones than any cotton polos. Also I feel their tees are just rip offs, an uniqlo supima one feels way way better Pieces I like from Ralph Lauren: Field jackets, Safari Jacket, Varsity jackets, Oilcloth, Knitwear, Denim Supply line with unique prints, RRL line, and ofc their caps.

The polo shirt is just a better fit than other brands. The logo in a contrasting colour also adds a lot to the shirt’s overall appearance.

Cool!! If it's pre-shrunk is how should be
Completely agree with your takes. Ralph Lauren is very rarely worth full price, though I am glad to have gotten a couple of bargains from Vinted :)
For you, what is the best polo we could find in europe for less than 300 euros ?
Thank for your videos
I have a vintage polo moe skin slack with high waisted pants I got at goodwill
Fascinating.

@@rudimussrodeln ah thanks for supporting your argument with substance. That’s how good discussions are had

@@EnduringAttire yes you’re correct, I should be more precise. I meant specifically RL outlet stores

Yep! they're not as they used to be :(
Those RL loafers with purple socks 👍👍
It's a nice touch of color, really Drake's style I think
You bought the cheapest pique polo. They still have good polos for example made of pima.

100% True !!
but price 📈📈
What do you think of that ASKET polos?
I haven't try them, but I can tell you Asket is Making great quality
Very good, comparable to the Sunspel pique ones I own. Better than new RL, Lacoste etc

Good points, and that's true polos and Shirts are not worth it at all from RL
Lacoste t shirts and polos are far superior to RL! I agree with your assessment👍RL does make nice denim, blazers and jackets👍
I agree with you about polo shirts overpriced and poor quality.
I just buy mine 2nd hand
