I think I mentioned when you first got it, lack of HP. Going from a lovely quality touring bike, to a budget bike aimed at the newly qualified. Have you thought of engine guards to protect those cylinders?
So I am looking at either a Ducati Scrambler or the R9T. There is a bit of a price difference, but think the R9T could be a keeper. Interesting that you moved from the Ducati to the R9T.
Wow a nice choice to have to make. If you put the 2 bikes next to each other and said money is no object I would go with the BMW without doubt! The scrambler is actually a small looking bike, but still very good fun. However, you highlight the point of cost which is a pretty big factor! There is a hefty price difference, but remember the R nine T is made from quality parts. I've heard for every 1 R nine T BMW make, they turn out 6 of others models in the range. You're paying for quality and precision with the R nine T. On this occasion I'd say go with the heart rather than the head. The R nine T will be a keeper and it's already a classic 😀
+Patrick Harrison good stuff! Go for the R9T sport! Even though it's a bit more expensive the sum of the extra parts far exceeds the increased price. It will also have a better future value if you're funding it by PCP.
+Pen15UK - Have to say I prefer the stock R9T - it reminds me of my last bike (which was a very long time ago). So coming back to bikes. My R75/7 had zero brakes, poor handling and narrow tyres. Still loved it. I think I will be putting down a decent deposit and HP the rest.
Awesome looking bike! Congrats on the purchase.
+Jamel Brown Thanks. Once we discussed the numbers it was an easy decision to buy! :)
That sound is so cool ! :O 😱
+antoine9034 its so much better in real life!
Ha, I knew the Ducati wouldn't last lol! Lovely bike, RSM8
Lol! Really? Why did you think I wouldn't keep the Ducati?

+clanmac66 the thought has crossed my mind but not sure how much they'd be. I might look into it.
Lol nice bike, I might have to go give them a go again if they want to speak to me! Aztec west, close to my house ;)
+philjonesuk we still need to hook up for a ride, you could check it out then. Go and have a chat to Luke in there, he's a really good guy!

+Pen15UK - What I wanted to hear :)
Just need to try and get a good deal at my local BMW dealership - not easy.
