    So this video is missing a KEY step!. I had the typical FEP leakage issue and after trying my hardest to get the resin off the screen and only ending up scratching it up, I decided to replace it. I found a replacement part (which is actually for the 6Ks so I have to send it back) and starting to follow this video. They lifted the screen up with ease in the video. Mine did not lift up at all, not a budge. I tried to apply some force and the thing broke. Luckily, I was wearing gloves or I could have cut myself on the broken glass. Use a heat gun to get it up. Oddly enough, the video does not show removing the glass, so hopefully the kit I bought comes with it...

      My printer had the TM089CFSP01 type LCD screen, and the ribbon cable that came with it was actually too wide for plug, so I ended up just using the original cable and it surprisingly worked, I didn't even need to open my printer aside from the flat metal piece covering the LCD ribbon cable.

    Tip: if youre having teouble getting your screen to work even after replacing it, make sure everything is connected SECURELY. If one thing is slightly off then it wont work. Had this issue with mine, and i had thought i had connected everything properly.

    My FEP film tore and got resin on my LCD which hardened. Tried to clean it up but ended up damaging the LCD. I contacted support. They asked me to contact warranty. I did that. Anycubic, after a few emails back and forth, sent me a new LCD, the little PCB inside and ribbon cables free of charge. All of this came packed in a nice little hard case to avoid damage during shipping. I've got no complaints about Anycubic.

    If you want to add a LCD screen protector, wouldn’t it make sense to add it while it is uninstalled from the printer? This would prevent any bubbles from uneven surfaces.

    • @daishi5571
      @daishi5571 3 года назад +1

      Just bought a Mach5ive LCD Screen Protection Kit, and the reason you don't add the protector uninstalled from unit, is that it would add a seem that could feasibly allow spilt resin into the LCD area. The screen recessed just a bit below the rest of the top is poor design/oversight or they may have wanted to put a protective screen over it but cut that out for cost (which I guess leads back to poor design).

    This printer has been a nightmare. It’s the worst. Nothing but problems. Tons of failed prints. Both my replacement FEP films (bought from Anycubic) had developed holes in them and flooded my machine with resin and ruined my screen (never seems to happen to my Photon Mono). I have to have it at least 85 degrees F to get a decent print. My photon mono has been perfect since day one. This machine was to be an upgrade to make bigger prints. It’s taken months to get compete prints (probably 40% success rate). The WiFi feature doesn’t seem to work since you can’t install it Bc it doesn’t give you the info you need set up the app and there are no instructions. I have wasted hundreds on resin and hours and hours of time trying to adjust settings. Today I saw my film had another hole in it (literally used three times and I am very careful with it) and I don’t know if it’s worth trying to replace my screen and film again. I’d rather just throw it in the dumpster. Very disappointed. Also seem to have trouble getting it to print well using Chitubox. Photon workshop looks great and is easy to use but you will spend hours fixing the stuff you already did (like supports disconnecting once you save your scene file). I know we can’t expect a perfect product from China but this is just a crap machine.

    I have several photons. With the amount of screen replacement that I have to do, this is unacceptable. This is way more complicated than consumers need or should expect. What a bunch of dumb bastards. You should be trying to make things simpler. The Mono X is a step backwards. I haven’t used mine much due to these issues, and it will probably go in the trash. It’s no wonder that anycubic is rushing to put out the next model that uses a different technology.

    I have been using this printer for over a year and I honestly do not recommend it to anyone. This printer is still a prototype, and customers are people who test their equipment for possible modifications. The display screen stops working for no reason after a few months. It displays some artifacts. LCD Screen for Photon Mono X monochrome for the price of a 32 "color TV set. I wanted to buy two because I have a lot of work, but it's good that I didn't make this mistake and I'm thinking about choosing another company
