What feature do you like the most in the Macan? Thank you. I appreciate the comment and you watching. I want to do more reviews, unfortunately, the inventory is slim right now. More to come soon though.
I'm confused. Thought the trim line-up went in order as so: Base as the lowest tier then Turbo, Sport, GTS? I keep seeing different orders in different videos. Can anyone clarify?
You’re not the only one confused. Porsche changed things up in 2022. They stopped the Turbo named model (not to be confused with a turbocharged engine - they all are). The GTS in ‘22 and ‘23 was the top of the line. I believe the models go Base, T, S, GTS.
Great video only gripe l’m losing my hearing so I tend to watch with subtitles but your rs experience banner at the bottom made it hard to read them. But apart from that 👍
That a rough one. The X4 has some good power and is a considerable savings over GTS depending on how you configure. For me, I prefer the look of the GTS. Now, I did see and X5 M50i in carbon Black that was gorgeous. But, that’s getting a bit bigger in size and price.
Great video... may I ask what style and color jacket that NF down is please? Can't find those angled pockets and mat green color. Do you know the model and color please? Looks great!
Hi. Thank you! I checked NF site and they don't make that jacket any longer. The model code was NF0A2TC9. The closest thing I could find was NF0A3Y56, but not quite the same.
@@RSXperience Oh wow, thanks! I appreciate you taking that time. The new jackets have vertical pockets and not slanted. I prefer yours. That flat color looks good too.
Hi. nice review. one thing no one has talked about and that is the sound system , I love great music in a great car. the car in the package comes with the Bose and you can get the Burmister is an extra $5700. but is it worth it? is there night and day between the two sound systems ? love your thoughts
Hi Frank. I often overlook the radio in my reviews, and perhaps I should not. I’m so used to the RS where I mainly listen to the engine unless on longer drives. 😂. I haven’t any personal experience with their Burmester in a Porsche. I do know it is popular in higher end spec’s cars (Turbo S range). What I may suggest is see if any local dealers have a car with Burmester where you can check it out. Good luck!
In today’s environment of cheap money I think I would purchase. If, however, you have business deduction opportunity a lease may make sense. I’m no financial advisor so I would recommend chatting with your advisor for what’s best in your situation.
GREAT review Andy ! Thank you for the insights. I am contemplating between the Macan S and the Range Rover Velar. Would appreciate your feedback on the choice i should make. I live in Dubai and want a car as my daily driver ( moving on from by BMW 428)
Thank you Arun. Gods choices between those two. I think the Range Rover looks great and has a modern interior. The Macan S is beginning to show its age until the next update in 2023 (then likely all electric). For now, the Macan S would be the better driver’s car with regard to engine and suspension performance. It will come down to personal preference for you. I don’t know much about Range Ro er reliability and servicing, but do know Porsche’s are solid and reliable. Good luck, and keep me posted on what you decide.
Glad your enjoying it. I have a friend who put on K&W suspension on his and that thing is slammed. Looks good. These vehicles surprise many sports car owners on how well they drive.
@@RSXperience Thanks. I do hope that the Macan high pressure fuel pump is better than the failed one on my Q7. The Bosch part ended up distributing metal filings throughout the injectors, fuel lines and gas tank. $9K quoted repair. That is pathetic for a top marque like Audi.
90k is what they go for near me.I paid 36k for a 2020 stinger GT AWD that is faster--handles better--longer warranty for almost a third the price--plus after 2 years these lose half their value. it is a nice SUV--but should be in the 60k to 70k area--and if german engineering is so superior--offer a 10 year warranty--that made a big diffrence also into me getting a stinger.
Those buttons are more convenient than going through a touch screen while you are driving. It gets tiresome just to make a simple adjustment and going through so many menus on a touch screen.
Without being rude or impolite, those who are across the pond dont know anything about European vehicles, why? Because vehicles built in your county are built to go straight...in Europe we have bends, corners, more corners and bends...
If you are referring to the US, I see your POV. Americans were/are obsessed with horsepower. The more the better and faster. I for one prioritize nimbleness and handling over hp. Watching my channel you know I prefer the twisting mountain roads over straight motorways. Motorways serve their purpose for expediting a point A to point B trip. But for the the joy of driving give me the twisting curvy back roads any day.
I can see where all the buttons can appear confusing. They’re not for everyone. Mfr have to figure out a balance of touch vs screens. Too many screens may lead to eyes off the road and buttons confusing. Perhaps better voice integration with natural voice commands is the way to go.
Porsche doesn't stand behind the quality of their vehicles. The ransfer case on my 2015 Macan S has failed twice now in only 27,000 miles. This is a known issue which caused Porsche to extend their warranty to 7 ys. Their "improved" transfer case lasted only 2 years 2 months and 9,000 miles. I am out of warranty by 6 weeks and Porsche turns their back on problem and sticks me for $3,200 repair. Don't buy a Porsche w/o extended warranty for entire length of time you expect to own it. #1 rated warranty company - Endurance - won't even sell coverage on Macan. That should tell Porsche and all potential buyers something. Customer experience is far from an expected premium car brand experience.

This is the only car that I'm in love with. Very good review, not screaming not overreacting. Good. Hope your channel keep growing!
Thank you for watching and I appreciate your comment. The new Macan GTS from what I hear is amazing, however, the S is a good value for what you get.
Love the chalk color!
Great review Andy. Very much to the point! Thank you!

Is there Macan hybrid available ?
Not yet. I believe there will be a Macan EV announced in 2023 for model year 2024.

The black brake calipers tell you it is a base Macan, I think the Bose is very good, but I have not heard the Burmister.
This one has the red brake calipers...or am I missing something?

Great review! What is the exterior color on this called? Thanks!
In the US it’s called Chalk. In Europe Crayon. It’s a creamy gray color. Wasn’t a fan at first, but it is growing on me.

Does the GTS come with an Audi engine or a Porsche engine?
I believe after 2018 the Macan uses a differently tuned Audi engine.

Android Auto also ?!?
No. Android Auto will show up on next generation PCM on the newest 911 models. Will make its way to Macan on next model update.
