  • I wanted to go out and show a very simple rig that catches a lot of fish in NYC. The High Low rig. It is easy to tie and catches everything. Grab some shrimp from the grocery store and give it a try. You'll have a ton of fun

      Makes sense, but the great part is you can get super excited when I do catch keepers. We can get so excited together for keepers. That's the whole point of fishing, to get keepers. Fishing is only great if your getting keepers. I love smaller keepers, sometimes bigger keepers. The best keeper is the keeper that keeps the keeper. I really love that keeper

    Hey Appreciate the videos, I am trying to learn the most. I am heading to NYC last week of August. I have 3 mornings like sunrise time to be able to fish. My idea is to try catching Smallbass in Central Park one day and then try to catch like Stripers or Rock Bass. I know most of your videos are with bait, but will be very difficult to move that, so will be fully with artificials. Any advice or tips? As well if you want to come fishing as well would be awesome. Local insight is always the best.

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  Месяц назад

      August can be tough for Striper. Your best bet would be to target them at night. Gulp! artificials will work in the River, bays and ocean side. The Central Park bass fishing aint bad, Harlem Meer is great. I wouldn't bring any expensive lures for the river, its very sticky. But you'll have a blast, there are fish around in August and most people target Fluke that time of year

    Try up by the old Domino Sugar plant come September for stripers.

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  Месяц назад +1

      There is a video somewhere on the channel catching a striper over there during the day. I'll usually fish at night if I am targeting bass in the river during the summer. Night fishing videos never perform very well so I gave up on them, but I still go fish for them without the camera
