Taking Our Tegu for a Walk!

Wow! What a hot day out! I thought it was a great day to let Bowser the tegu explore outside. Letting Tegus outside for some exploring is great opportunity for mental enrichment as well as physical benefits like exercise and getting natural UVB. While starting off little rocky, Bowser warmed up pretty quickly and was even coming back to me to check back in!
I loved seeing this Tegu exploring and just being outside, I will continue to bring him outside in future!

Multiple states in the US have tegu bans now. N and S Carolina, and Florida. Funny enough they are not illegal in Georgia and GA has 2 counties with invasive populations. Many people are not ready to take care of a full grown tegu. I have 3. I live in PA so they would not survive a winter here outside.
