Nice truck! I ordered a 2024 f150 xl. It does not have tow mirrors or turn signals on the mirrors. I want to do what you did. What did you do in FORscan to enable the running light, turn signals, and puddle lights? Was that info provided by Boosted Auto when you bought them? Thanks.
Thanks. This was purchased from Asheville Ford. It’s an STX version of the XL so it came with the black badges and a few other small features highlighted in the video..
You can always ask. I’m betting they might say it will void the factory warranty on the particular part that you’re changing. Like if I alter my stock mirrors and something goes wrong with the power adjuster, they will probably try to blame it on bad codes..
@WesleyAllenNC I ordered the factory Ford tow mirrors. I have a 24 XLT with the 301A BLIS and 360. I don't have the side spotlight or mirror turn signal with the package.
That’s right. I never used the jumper wire. It took some playing around w/ Forscan to get everything working, but I also had the 22 pin connector going to my OEM mirror instead of the 8 pin or whatever the smaller version is. That may have also played a factor..
Its been a while since I did this, but I'm pretty sure there was a "puddle lamp enable" option in the body control module or whichever module it was that allows you to simply toggle things on and off)
I didn’t. I think your truck has to have the actual sensor plates installed into the bumper or taillight. The lights pops on when I crank the truck but then turn off and never come back on
@@2tonesavthese mirrors have the blind spot monitoring option. But the actual sensors for it to work are supposed to be in the bumper somewhere. The mirrors just have the light that turns on after the sensors see a vehicle
I don’t opt for the power mirrors since mine didn’t come with it originally. I may have been able to activate on Forscan since I THINK I have the wiring, but it added too much to the upfront mirror cost for me to want to try..
Thinking of getting these for my 2023 F-150. Have a couple of questions if you don't mind. Do you still like the mirrors? Do you have the power fold and if so, will the fold in with the mirror extended or do you have to put the mirror back in before you can fold them in? Thanks.
Yeah I still have them, and still like them. They've only been on for a couple of months so I can't speak to longevity just yet.. I don't have the power fold option on these mirrors.
Man can you please tell me what you did on forscan to get your turn signals and running lights to work. I’ve been on forscan all day and night trying to get mine working and nothing. I have the same truck as you and with the stock little mirrors with no lights but with bliss. I finally got the puddle lights working but nothing else. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Ok man I will check it out but I believe mine already has the 01 and they still want work and don’t really know why could be cheap tow mirrors and wiring may be different or something
@@WesleyAllenNC ... just an FYI.. I ordered my 2023 f150 KR truck from the dealership and asked for those mirrrors. They cost $250 and were factory installed.

This is great! Problem statement, ordering, unboxing, install troubleshooting, good quality video. Needs 100k views!
Hey thanks!
Could you show what you changed in forscan to get all the lights working

Great job Wes.chewy sure is growing
Great video. Question where did you get it what did you do to black out the f-150 badges on the front of the truck. Love that look.

Hey thanks!
Can the dealership update these modules? I might not be too comfortable messing with the computer system in the truck.

So you can get everything working with forscan and didn't need the jumper wire?

did you have the puddle lights prior to these
I didn’t. It was just those stock mirrors with nothing , not even heat. I had to activate features using Forscan

I got mine factory installed for $250. They are bad ass. Way better than the small mirrors... and they have the power fold like they should

What did you have to turn on in Forscan to get the puddle lights to work? Seen a video on how to turn on turn signal but nothing on puddle lights.
❓
How much did they cost ?
If you don't mind me asking
Something like $650.. So not cheap unfortunately. (OEM tow mirrors were over $800)

@@sophia1293that’s a good deal. I bet my quote would have been cheaper during the pre-sale negotiations as opposed to after lol
