If you're wondering why the first half of the video looks so good, that's thanks to our buddy Triplett at Trifecta Photography (trifecta.company/) I think we need to have him film some more videos for us! Next week we'll be posting a proper first ride of the Fourtrax and testing out all the features. Thanks for watching!
You've got yourself a gem!!! that's one of the ONLY four-wheelers made with a solid front axle!! And, was one of the very first 4x4 four-wheelers, if not the first! Takes a 3 acre field to turn around! Ive worked on a few of them.
Damn, nice find! I had an 86 Fourtrax 125 growing up. The green/red neutral/reverse lights are so nostalgic..❤ Love seeing the younger generations having respect and a passion for classics
I haven't seen the video yet. But, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes. It's a Honda. The damn things can sit forever. I have a '73 CL350 that's been sitting for about 20 years. If I clean the carbs and put a battery in it, I have no doubt it'll start right up.
How awesome. Who ever had it before looks like they did take pretty good care of it. For its age it is in great condition. A little cleaning and TLC and it will be sweet! Like a Dimond in the rough!! Hope school is going great for you guys. You guys are blessed in a lot of ways. God Blessed!!
my grandpa had a 1986 350 fourtrax that he gave to me. It has been in some tough situations hunting and on the ranch and it has been unbelievably tough. He used it and I still use it all the time and am amazed about how it keeps going.
I got a 86 TRX 350 in a barn and got it for 750 bucks. Definitely needed cosmetic work but started right up after I brought home and put some fresh gas in it. These things are built like tanks!
That’s a gem y’all got. Those are very hard to come by. There was only a handful of them in the states. One of the coolest bikes in my opinion. I’ve owned 2 of them in the past, one 89 model that was nice like that one and an 87 that was rough but both ran like champs.
I picked up one of these. I have been through 2 carbs. Fuel pump. No fuel pump. Gravity feed tank. Keeps flooding the carb at idle. New needle and polished seat. Adjustable float. Stock float. Take fuel away it runs great. Add fuel it floods and dies. Both carbs are mint. Sounds just like yours when you snlow down. Starts to flood and dies. Odds of 2 carbs doing the same on complete rebuilds is slim. I have been through hundreds of carbs. This one has me stumped.
nice work!!! it looks alot similar to the old suzuki quads.... like the king quad * i would let it warm up, go for a ride and then change the oil before the engine cools down. it is very likely that the gears and clutch will be frozen...they will need a long ride to get loose
I don't know if you guys did it off screen, but I hope you guys poured marvel mystery oil or anything similar down the spark plug hole to add lubrication to the cylinder and piston rings. If sat for so long and dry its a good chance you will scare the cylinder and or piston both and rip rings out
I got one and ive been restoreing it for a while now.i bought new plastics diffs and tires so far.if you have any questions or want to see a pic let me know!
there one of the most capable bikes ever made a mate rides his with us everywhere here in Tasmania old school cool your guna luv it guys cheers from oz
And I know for a fact these quads only run well with the factory air box don’t drill holes in the box and don’t leave the lid off these engines are sensitive to intake and exhaust changes
If it came from higher altitude of Colorado and never ran right in TX it needs re-jetting. Also it sounds like you are sucking lots of air? If the air box isn't on you cant adjust the carb correctly. Super nice quad that will only continue to appreciate.
Hey guys! Pretty cool find. I have a 1987 TRX350 that I can't find a decent schematic on how to run the carb hoses. Any insight after your experience with the 86 could be helpful. Nice work!
The Honda trx350 fourtrax is the first 4wd atv ever built and that is all original down to the tires you got a tru barnfind I have a 87 trx350 it’s a 5speed auto clutch all time 4wd it has oil cooling with a single overhead cam 4valve true 350cc it has the same topend at the 85-86 Honda atc 350x 3wheeler leave it original as possible it’s worth about 3k how it sits
Hi... I have the same honda but the thing i have a problem with is that my one does not wanna gow fast it goes like max 35km/h how fast does yours go ?
Yeah and these things have a clutch tied into the shifter. The shifter has to disengage the clutch b4 it shifts the tranny. There's adjustments for the timing of this. Trickey to set up. :)

Not true, I've done 4x4 donuts on one, I could turn it on a dime.

Thank you, it’s amazing to be able to work on these legendary machines

Definitely, all of the work they put into engineering these things really pays off when they can sit for so long and start up like nothing happened
Killer find guys. You don’t find them in that good of condition very often. 👍

That is practically a museum piece

I’ve been playing with motorcycles for 50 years that is one of the best mules ever made. Don’t get rid of it.
Sweet find. I drove a 84 Honda TRX 200 for 30 years it’s still running last I heard.
The farm i used to help out at had one of these and ran great. It's amazing it still ran considering the oil wasn't changed for 10 years
What a beautiful machine! It's in perfect shape!
Of course it runs. I took the tarp off mine a couple weeks ago and chased the mice out and started it up. They're Great machines.
This thing is so dope. So glad y'all revived it!
Wow!!! That thing is awesome guys...👍👍
Thank you! It’s an amazing piece of engineering

Best 4 wheeler ever made

Really wanted to see this shined up like showroom condition

Great find, but if I have nightmares about moon-sand & spiders, y’all are gonna hear about it!
Yes it will, it’s a honda.
I got one and ive been restoreing it for a while now.i bought new plastics diffs and tires so far.if you have any questions or want to see a pic let me know!
That sounds awesome, you can send us a pic to our Instagram or email it to us at build1break1repeat@gmail.com
You can fix the low idle with a valve adjustment and the hard shifting is because you havent adjusted the "automatic" clutch
there one of the most capable bikes ever made a mate rides his with us everywhere here in Tasmania old school cool your guna luv it guys cheers from oz
I love my 86 even has the original tires from honda from 86 still on it
junkyard digs recommended this channel.
best machine ever made the dont die
I've been looking for one of these to buy for months 😭
And I know for a fact these quads only run well with the factory air box don’t drill holes in the box and don’t leave the lid off these engines are sensitive to intake and exhaust changes
Yeah, stock is good. :)
Great score it should be a easy fix!
The Japanese know how to make stuff strong and durable.. damnn
Lucky dogs 😁...
you were givin a gem
Awesome atv. Im reviving an 87. Finding wheel bearings and oil seals is tough. Any advice is appreciated.
If it came from higher altitude of Colorado and never ran right in TX it needs re-jetting. Also it sounds like you are sucking lots of air? If the air box isn't on you cant adjust the carb correctly. Super nice quad that will only continue to appreciate.
Nice, love it
That tool kit bigger score then the quad. They are either gone or .missing most of the tools
Hey guys! Pretty cool find. I have a 1987 TRX350 that I can't find a decent schematic on how to run the carb hoses. Any insight after your experience with the 86 could be helpful. Nice work!
It won't idea right without air filter and air box on it. But that's still a great score
Well it better than the new ones.

I found a 300 trx Monday 1995 4x4, mint,
Crazy how that resembles the 400ex carb 10 year later
Hi... I have the same honda but the thing i have a problem with is that my one does not wanna gow fast it goes like max 35km/h how fast does yours go ?
Surprised?? It's a Honda!! Ride Red!!!
Could you tell me what the brand/model of the OEM tires are? Thanks.
Shifts hard because you have old oil in a wet clutch. But that thing is geared super low dude. It aught to rip
Yeah and these things have a clutch tied into the shifter. The shifter has to disengage the clutch b4 it shifts the tranny. There's adjustments for the timing of this. Trickey to set up. :)
That thing is bada**!!!
Did you end up replacing the gas tank?
Honda auto clutch only shifts perfect if uou have your idle set perfect
Not sure where you're from but I've been looking for one of these I'm from Pennsylvania you can help me source one that would be so cool
Tank of a bike had one and i tested it
Mini quad vs big quad video?
I wish someone would reproduce ALL the decals.....
Look’s like I got original tires! I don’t think this has many hours
ive one sitting at my house unfortunatly in the conditions
Want to sell it??
it's a hoonndaaaaa
sounds like it has an exhaust leak and it's getting too much air it's bogging
Altitude changes everything.
That's too easy?
It's a damn Honda. It could sit for 1000 years and still fire up.
get it running? Is this video a joke? This is the nicest looking trx350 i've ever seen...30 seconds in and I know the outcome
Hope yall dont rip this apart for the engine good luck with it
Yeah we won’t be touching this one besides cleaning it up and a mechanical resto
@@BuildBreakRepeat good to hear man good luvk on yalls other builds
