- Fired up the old 1986 Honda TRX 350 Fourtrax 4x4 to do some trail grooming through the deep snow in the swamp! The old girl hadn't been started in a couple months or more. Ran great.
Lots of fun! That thing is like a little tank! lol

we've had an 86 trx350 in the family for 15 years. It's had a hard hard life but when called upon is still ready for anything. Rides like a tractor, turns like a schoolbus but is indestructable. Gets my vote for worlds toughest 4x4 atv. in 20 years my trx420 will probably be parts in boxes while my fathers 350 will still be plowing his road.
LOL..I know what you mean..our TRX350 is also like a tank...it is our Tree puller/ trail groomer ....so good at doing all the grunt work! I agree...these Honda's will be around Forever!!! Thanks for watching.
Honda foreman 400 is the best
I just Bought the 1986 Honda fourtrax 350 4x4 yesterday on my Birthday! It's a tank I'm gunna take for out for a first good ride tomorrow!
Happy belated birthday and congrats on the Honda. They just keep going and going and going....great ATV!
@@cubbeezx Thank you! I have one question under the left handle bar there is a key slot do u no what video it is for? The quad came with the manual but it doesn't have the key slot in there!
Thank you Again!
I have a 86 Honda fourtrax 350 it’s a tank never dies love her lol
Thanks for watching. This Honda is almost 30 years, and still runs like a dream! They made these old ones tough for sure.
I've always been a Yamaha guy but i have to admit, that Honda is a good looking machine!!!
nice to see someone still has that same atv, mine jumped time during the summer
I have one that runs if your intrested .
I have an '85 250 FourTrax . . . It was my son-in-law Rex's who gave it to my youngest son Michael, who got it running to give to his 70 year old Dad.
It's not nearly as pretty as the one in this film, but I use it all the time to maintain my property in Southern AZ. Trail cutting, trash hauling, tree and plant pruning, and just lots of other tasks . . . The many cracks in the plastic fenders are laced with snap ties, the rims are dented, and she aint pretty. But she still runs great and saves me soooo much time and effort with my chores! I built a drag from chain link fencing for trail grooming that I can raise and lower when I turn around and it works great. Plus I bought a dumping trailer to haul behind it . . .
I have had a 1988 honda foreman 350cc was like new they bough ot new on that year amd use like 50 hous them garage keep it fot more than 30 years iunfortunily sold it broke my ❤ heart
Awwwww, that is a classic ride....too bad you don't still have it!
We have a 2012 outlander that has 16.000 km on it. Engine trans diffs have never been opened up
I have a 1985 Honda Fourtrax 250, and it pulls very well, and in very good condition.
They are great ATV's aren't they!
Thanks, glad you like the vids. The Honda is amazing...
I absolutely love these. Like you said " they are tanks".
Had an 89 model of these...would pull like a train.
Probably best fourwheeler made
Gotta love the old Hondas when I first started riding my first 1986 I was like 6 (50 Zuki) before that I wish I could tell how many kms are on it . These things are pretty unstoppable and as always great videos
Hell yeah I haven't found a fourwheeler yet. So far just atc got a 85 250 big red and a 83 185s lol
yup these old Honda's are the best for going through deep snow and mud .you can't beet them.
Yes, we sure do!
Love the dogs. Love how they can seemingly can never figure out where the snow ball goes when they eat it! Mine does the same thing and she just loves it!
Thanks for watching! Jethro especially could chase snowballs all day long LOL...gotta love them!
Been going through and checking out all your Honda ATV videos. Man that old thing is a beaut. That thing was atleast 4 years ahead of the game.
The old HOnda is still going strong! Having an intermittent issue with starting it, but haven't had a chance to look into it yet...TOUGH!
That old Honda... Reminds me of the "Old bull Story" We'll tell the story, in the theatre of your ATV's.... One day, The old Honda TRX was sitting on a hill... Watching a bunch of Pink Female Kodiaks down below. Next to him was the Outlander 1000.. The young Bull. The outlander 1000 says to the Old Bull TRX, "Hey, Lets race/Run down that hill, and go bang one of those Female Kodiaks ATV's. To which the TRX responded "Lets Low Gear/Walk down, and BANG THEM ALL!!!" (No need for speed, Age is all the rage!!"
I hope you enjoyed my story! LOLOLOL
WOW...Great story! Thanks for sharing!
nice, I had one of those, boy times have changed, the good old days.
terminator9253 Thanks for watching! Yes, those were the days LOL
I love those old HONDA'S they are so reliable i have a 86 and its still pushing strong!!
I have 2 86 Honda trx 250s both great machines wouldn't trade them for the world
Terry Mangrum Those are awesome ATV's Terry...we still have our 1986 Honda TRX 350...so tough!
hey i just got an 86 honda fourtrax 350 today and just to add a fuel filter, so far she runs really good and was used once every 5 years.
That ATV goes pretty damn good thru the snow! Big column of smoke in the distance at 13:48!
Rob Farrow Always fun exploring on the old Honda. Haven't done much of that this year..still lots of time! The pulp mill is always our reference point when out on the like...just aim for that and you'll never get lost! Thanks for checking out the video.
***** One of the few pulp mills still operating...
They sure are tough!
That is surprising! But you guys did a great job fixing her up, im gonna save and keep my eye out for one of these!
Great video bro. Those old bikes are in amazing shape.
That the kind of snow im use to,now we have just 6 inches.lake superior wont freeze this year eather the way its going...planning a fishing trip to Sturgeon lake in ontario this summer.enjoy the videos
man I would love to have one of those older Honda
Nice dependable Work Horse
@cubbeezx No problem! I also noticed you guys are getting tons of awesome snow! its the middle of January and we are having temps in the 50's F. supposed to be around the 20's F. and boy is it mudddyyy! lol.
Right on
Awesome video!! The Honda and the Big Bear were looking good! I didn't realize that the Honda had a cooling fan, that's pretty advanced for 1986. Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful winter.
your welcome........ i cant wait for the next video
sure. You know Ive herd that the Honda Fourtrax ATVS are the toughest ATVs honda has made so far. And, i belive it because they are some tough little ATVs!!!!
Excellent videos, nice commentary and love that Honda 350!
sure, and i love watching your videos, HAHA, the "dam" grizzly threw me that looked like the hit on the ground hurt
that one is in REALLY nice shape. I had one 4 years ago, not nearly as nice looking but ran awesome.
Thanks! When we got it the plastics were in pretty good shape, but needed quite a bit of TLC. Tough as can be..love these old Honda's! Appreciate you checking out the vid!
***** I looked up the vid, as I am in the process of trying to trade a sled for a 86 350. Owner says it will start when you prime but not stay running and thinks it is the fuel pump. It has no plastics tho. But if it will run Ill make a plow for it to take care of the driveway.
RCPro Driver
They did have trouble with the electric fuel pumps on them. Apparently some people put vacuum pumps on them and then no electrical issues. Sounds like it would make a good plow quad!
I love shifting on my 88 fourtrax it make things more enjoyable for me.
@8 min. Only thing I hate about my 86 350 is the turn radius. It turns like a tank with one busted track :) But I love her. I can go anywhere my buddies grizzly 700 goes. Nice to see someone else enjoying the old girls!
+Nothings TRUE Our old Honda is tough! Keeps on ticking! Thanks for watching.
Its not fair all the nice snow you guys get!! Here in southern MN we only got about 6 inches and most of it melted last week so we cant even ride our sleds
ok, thank you. and were i live we ride in just about everything snow, mud, sand. so its kinda hard on atvs down here. So, yea but i really like that 86 honda
Thanks you too.
these quads are beasts. I got one and the thing will go thru anything
mike Cook They sure are...tough too!
I Got A 92 And Its A Beast!
Yep,I like them old 86 tanks so much I have 2 of them..Shame I cannot locate a nice set of plastics for one of them as the fenders are all busted up on it,,,1300 hours is prolly close to 6500 miles,or more if you average speed per hour at 5 mph which is about average ...
Great video awesome place to ride. I got an 85 250 fourtrax in good shape and love it yours is super nice. Thanks for sharing. I would love to hunt that area you are lucky.
good video quality for 9years ago what were you using at the time that atv is my dream bike
o ok cool yeah I dident know if it helped it get better traction.
I have a 1997 Honda foreman 450 there great machines the only thing wrong with it is that the plastics are loose and the front left tire has a slow leak
Hunting fishing Alaska if I'm correct the 450 didn't come out till 98 and the 400 came out in 95 (they look identical you should check to see your yours is really a 450 I'm betting it's a 400 but someone could have just rebuilt it and bored it out to a 450 and called it that cause motors are also pretty much identical as well you just have to know what to look for to tell the difference but if it has the digital dash that's a dead giveaway it's a 450
@@NelsonCreekCustoms it wasnt a 450 this is the same person it was bored out it is a 400 hundred but it was bored out
I saw an article that said 10 hours per 100 miles is about average with a mix of slow and cruising. So I guess the TRX is up around 13K ? Not too bad for a 27 year old Quad.
them old Hondas are tanks had a 91 went everywhere probably more places then the 700 kawasaki prairie I just had
They sure are! Tough and still running all these years later. Thanks for watching!
Sorry, have no idea either...never had that happen before!
I had one of those about 15 years they are tanks if you can keep the tires on the ground.
Awesome a fellow Canadian, keep the vids coming my kid and i absolutely love them.
Really awesome honda my friend !!!!Pretty good for its age,lot of fun!!!!
I'm looking at buying one of these atv's. Is there anything that I should look for that might be a problem ??
The hardest thing to find is plastic$$$$$$$most parts are cheap ,I just got one a few week's back in Awesome condition I love them they are tanks and last.
Why do you hook the tires on the back for ? That a good looking 86 the plastic looks like new.
If I had brought a bike in 86 it would of been the Big Red. I owned a 200 CC chain drive ATC, way more fun to drive then any 4 wheeler. I wish I still had it.
We had a 3 wheeler for a little while..it was a ton of fun! Thanks for watching.
Any time. I've seen a few of your videos now, looks like you have some fun trails to ride on.
Your comment on which video ?? But, Nope, didn't see any comment.
BTW ... Nice Film Crew !! Wink ! Wink !
You dont have to rebuild these check oil good gas clean the carb and kick start her up. 33 years later still runs
I'm buying one of those and just needed to see how good it is and I'm not disappointed😂👍 great video.subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing!
Very good video the voice is clear the picture is good continue man
Hi,that 86 TRX R good running motors.I had 91 TRX200 ran great i sold that & got 97 prairie 400 4x4 .IM just waiting for a good snow storm in N.J. My short video of 97 prairie
Are parts for these getting tough to find? I know there were things they didn't share with the later 300s that were so popular. There's one for sale near me for a great price and I'm considering it.
We were able to find parts no problem...they just keep going and going, like little Tanks! LOL Great work horse ATV, tough, reliable and lots of fun. Go for it!
i have honda fourtrax 250 and this a great machine
awesome video hah those dogs are machines in the snow! Ah sad the video ended GREAT update though for sure!!
as a matter of fact , I did enjoy the ride !
Also my honda is 32 years old... It is beat to shit and looks like is was drove off a cliff.. Yet it has never gave me problems starting or driving... And our brand new 850 atv has been a non stop breaking piece of garbage...
I'd give good money for an '86 in such great shape.
The old Honda just keeps on ticking...amazing!
So what atvs do you still have? Besides the grizz and bewst
Still have the kodiak 450 and the ‘86 hona trx 350
ok, ive herd that the honda fourtrax atvs are the toughest that honda has made. and, i belive that too
Id sure love to have that quad
I have the same one with brand new tires northern wisconsin. Just cleaned the carb runs like a champ.
How much you willing to pay.
Howdy from Texas Watched all of your videos seems like a great place to go trail blazing, but we don't know any one who knows the area, I don't know we got a few of our riders wanting to do some videos and what not but I love the ones you guys do, and most important you guys stay safe at doing it, Keep that Grizzly digging ,,till next time.
New video of the old girl soon? ;)
The old girl is still in the shed....we'll have to take it out soon ;)
thx alot
That`s a sweet honda
Great i just picked one up and the racks were off of it when i got it. I think im missing a piece on the back that would connect to the rack. is there anyway you could send a picture of the rear rack and how it is on there?
Thanks Daniel
Could you post more pics of both of them when it becomes winter i have a 1989 honda 350 same as yours and also a yamaha wolverine 350 with the same motor as your bigbear! they are both great quads
Great video
Haha! Did you call your dog a Hoser? Brings back memories of Bob And Doug McKenzie!! Haha! Great video as usual, Cubbie!!
Great videos. keep them coming.
Thanks for checking us out!
You bet...we can post more pics in the winter for sure. Nice rides you have and glad you enjoy riding the Honda and Yamaha! Thanks for watching.
great video
Got it and HELL YEAH !! Ride On Brother from the Great White North !! WOO HOO !! .......... SASQUATCH !!
My dad used to use a pallet to pack trails
Great video cubbeezx! Nice Fourtrax
love this kind!!
I know i say this a lot, but cubbee I NEED MY DOSAGE OF THIS QUAD!!!! NEED NEW VIDEO haha, i love this machine i might save for one, 100cc bigger than mine with 4x4, sounds good to me! :D
LOL...checked on it this past weekend...the old girl is still there covered up waiting for spring. Have a soft spot for this quad too LOL
Awesome vid! I have a 84 Honda ATC & it's in pretty good condition but that Fourtrax is even better! And I noticed at about 13:50 there was possibly ssmoke in the distance?
8 years later, probably just from the cold. Mine (01 rancher 350) smokes all winter long even on a fresh rebuild. Once it warms up outside it stops
ok, i thank you for replying. my fourtrax is chain driven and and the whole rear end ive had trouble with. ive been looking at a honda rancher 420, a grizzly 350 or 450, and a honda recon 250. what would you thank would be a better atv for me. and, like i said im 12 about to be 13 yrs. old and about 5 foot even.
Does that have four wheel drive
Yes it sure does
cubbeezx ok
i have mudlights. do you think they are good tires
u may have said but i didint hear it, what kind of tires u run on there
We have Swamp Lites on the old Honda
@@cubbeezx ok thanks
have you ever had much trouble with that "86 honda. because i have a 1991 honda fourtrax 200 2x4. and every time turn around i have to fix something on it. im 12 yrs. old do you have any thoughts about a better honda or yamaha atv that would be good for me? please write back if you dont mind
ok, i thank you for replying and my fourtrax it chain driven, very low ground clearence, and the chain is what im having the most trouble out of and... well, the whole rear end ive had trouble with and ive been trying to get a honda rancher 420, grizzly 350 or 450, and a honda recon 250. what do you recemend i should look at geting. and, like i said im 12 yrs. old and about 5 foot even.
Om from norway, and i love your motorpark, looks like you and your giro have 2 quads and 1 snowmobile each and i like it :)
how come you had the tires on the back
hi excellent video
Thanks very much for watching!
I bet a pallet would work good!
Yeeha! Lot's of fun. I was gonna go for a snow ride today, but there is so much snow here I would be relagated to the grid roads and that's just no fun. So . . . I'll just stay in and watch your vid instead. Love that old Honda. Looks like CK is enjoying the new helmet. And now it's time for 50 questions: What kinda camera was CK using to vid you driving around in the swamp? Was that blue jacket she was wearing one of those new Mustangs? What size tires you got on the Honda? Thanx for sharin'!
