Trying the controversial Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm - First Impressions

- Hey friends! I’ve seen sooo many mixed feelings on the #miraclebalm from Jones Road Beauty, and all I can say is…I get it!! It’s definitely a love it or hate it kind of product. From the texture to the application to the feel ( and even the scent ) , the internet beauty community seems to be super divided on this product ( which makes it all the more exciting to try for myself! Lol )
For me, it works!! I have dry skin, and I love products that don’t require brushes.
I don’t think this would be an everyday thing for me, as I truly love to play with my makeup looks lately with my shorter hair, but for the practical mom days or even a natural beachy vacay look, these products are ideal! I also plan to recommend to my mother and aunts as I do think it’s awesome for mature skin as well.
What do you think? Would you try it?

I bought the Au Naturel. I’m in love with the way my face glows. Breaking the seal took more effort than I expected but I kept pushing down and now I tap finger tips in and then on my face. Awesome to see my 74 year old skin looking youthful and dewy.

I don't have mature skin, but it's very dry. This product feels really good on my skin. It's great for a no makeup look. I also like that you can use it on multiple areas of the face

The makeup artist that created this said if it’s sticky you’re using too much, use less! I definitely wanna pick this up, since I’m older now, I’m sick of putting on makeup 😂 It looks great on you 😊
There's nothing controversial. It's made for older skin like mine, and works great,looks great, leaves skin nourished.

I am 50 but oily medium blotchy skin any suggestions which ones?
I have mature skin, and I barely use any for tint and a moisture seal and I feel like im sweating oil from the miracle balm.
And in the winter, it was drying... which is strange for some argan and jojoba oil with mica powder for color.. OTC works better for this 50+ yrs
It ain't for everybody, but Bobby Brown lost me, 100%, just by bring dismissive over product concerns.
Pure junk for $40.I am 70 they recommended Sunkissed for my light skin.I have tried everywhere on my face and it’s a tacky mess like auquafor.I did trust Bobbie Brown before she came up with this junk.AndI believed her and waited to long to send it back.Dont waste your money
Have the foundation and love it. Very moisturizing for my senior skin.

I brought Dusty Rose after I use transparent powder or Crystal powder slight on top of face for avoid the sticky and too greasy look , at the end come out very good and now Ithinking go buy another color not sure Sun Kiss or Bronzer or Tawny
What was the lipstick colour you used? Looks lovely on you!
I love it!!! I use on my cheeks and eyelids. Underneath I have It Cosmetics CC cream. Very happy with dusty rose!
I love JOnes Road….my mature skin is extremely dry and this makes it look dewy, healthy and not as aged….!

Burt's bees is supposed to have an amazing dupe that's really cheap. I've never actually tried either but I've been reading the reviews. Trying to decide if I'm going to buy it.

People got very heated about the product ( mostly TikTok) saying nothing shows up ( not applying it correctly mostly ) and they think it’s sticky and smells…others looove it, I think it’s partly because it’s created by such a popular makeup icon maybe it’s critiqued more ( Bobbi brown ) ❤
The miracle balm is great for older skins. It moisturises through the day. What’s controversial about it?
I think the controversy really just lies in the division of people that love it and hate it, but like you said..great for older skin, perhaps that’s a big part of the issue for people, it’s not going to make sense for some people ( and that’s ok! )
It’s controversial because people don’t use it correctly. She says up front this is very different and it is. So why people think they can slop it on like other makeup is beyond me. It for both young and Matias skin.

Anyone with oily, acne prone skin try this? I am 52 and love the look of this but wonder if it would make my skin break out.
I’ve been on the fence about this brand. I’m all about minimalist makeup now that I’m **ahem** 40+ 🙈. The only thing that throws me off is that I’d have to buy two of the balms to create a ‘look’. It would be nice if they had a two pan compact! Thanks for sharing ✌🏾👍🏾
That’s such a good idea with the two pan concept!! A bronzer/blush lip shade combo would be brilliant
You have to break the seal cause the formula is not that great. They should’ve used a suspending agent for the Micahs in the formula for the color. If they were to use a suspending agent for the Mica powder, then it would be an even application of Micah powder tint if you will all over your skin as opposed to having to mix the product before actually applying it on your skin and having toblend it so much if the formula was better, you would just need a tiny little. Dot and tap it gently and then that would be it.

I have older skin and I am not a fan.. Sure it's nice if you are staying at home and want a touch of something..Mine remains unused in my makeup drawer. I need full coverage for my skin
I like it except when my hair sticks to it.
I purchased several and all of them are too sticky. Very disappointed.
I hear ya, it took me by surprise initially…definitely isn’t going to be a texture everyone enjoys…I was just thinking it would bug me if I had longer hair and it stuck to my face like lipgloss 😩
If you have longer hair it makes your hair stick to your face. I love wtf, but I just can’t with this product.
