My thoughts exactly! Beautiful skin.
Most youtubers are really enhanced by make up. But here, I just kept shaking my head with every layer this beautiful woman was putting on. I couldn't help it. Covering her beautifull complexion. Hardening her eyes with pencils. I have rarely seen such a beautiful young looking face. And I have never seen someone looking older or worse after applying make up. Not Jones Roads products fault. I guess there is such a thing as too much of a good thing ? Applying make up to a perfect face, apparently makes it less beautifull ? I am so surprised by that. The liptattoo she got, did look perfect on her.

Thank you so much for doing this. FINALLY, someone who really understands how to demo products. Little request though: Could you phone a friend or family member that has texture to their skin and demo on them as well? By texture I mean older estrogen depleted skin with maybe more wrinkles. Your skin is gorgeous. Also, could you give us an update on how it lasted throughout the day. You are queen of the makeup demos.. very much a well done video.
Yes, that's what I was thinking... she doesn't need Jones Road, but maybe I do! It's just a bit expensive for me.

Yes. I think skin under 55 or 60 just isn’t the target consumer, nor does their skin need this type of balm… 😅
As a more mature woman I find the miracle balm works well on my dry skin. It makes my skin look more moist and more luminous without creasing throughout the day.
I’m so glad I didn’t listen to all the negative comments. I’m 65 and this was great for my skin. It was created for mature skin. The first time I applied way to much as I was treating it like all other makeup I have used. The second time I went light , added a little bit more and it looked great. I wish she made a sample kit to try.

I've just started using the Jones Road products and love them. I appreciate that you thought about how to use them before just publicly trashing as it seems many are doing. There IS a learning curve to the products but in my experience, the payoff is worth it. I did like seeing you use more of the things than I currently have, I did not buy bronzer, for example, but am now utterly convinced i need it. 🤣 Thank you!!
(Also, yes, you ARE a beautiful woman with a gorgeous blank canvas. I can't compete, but I can aspire to always look better, right? Old age is not going to drag me down.)
I have the WTF. It’s the ONLY foundation/tinted moisturizer I found that made me look better than just my own skin. I’m almost 70. Very dry skin. Lines. It melts into your skin. You need very little. Works perfectly under eyes. And amazingly, you can wear it all day and absolutely nothing happens. No change whatsoever. Everything stays exactly as when you put it on. I got mine is Light. It’s a beautiful color.
Had zero luck with Magic Balm. Dries out after 4 hours. Did this even when I wore it over moisturizer. All the glow goes away and everything looks stale. That’s when I put it all over my face: Dusty Rose. It’s great on the lips.
I tried working with Miracle Balm many times and the issue always is that it doesn’t last, just dries out.

@@Scram673 😄. Funny. You did see that I hated the Magic Balm, right. Everything I said about the What The Foundation is true, though recently I discovered not to get it get too close to my eyes because it makes them water. Anyway, not all 70-year olds are the same. I’m in great shape, do weight workouts, ride my bike, walk everywhere and write novels.
So good to see someone review a product that did some investigation into how to apply it! So tired of seeing people glopping it on like their old make up. This line is totally new and different. Love it!

Thank you for your review. Today I wore the WTF foundation outdoors to kids track meet. I received two random compliments on my skin. It also really covers my dark circles even without the cover up pencil. It doesn’t look shiny on me because I am much older than you. Edit: The other issue is this is not a foundation for normal skin. It is for dry skin. And you are right it is more like a tint, than a foundation a person plasters on their face.

Couldn't justify the price of the products so not for me. Although makeup looks good on you. Also don't get selling your business to the Este Lauder group to be honest. I worked in beauty and they own a lot of major brands now unfortunately

Thanks for the warning/justification. I tossed all my makeup during the mask years and have been disappointed to realize my skin changed. This sounds like what I need now.
I’m 60 and HATE this stuff! It goes on like chapstick. It’s tacky and greasy at the same time. Absolute waste of money. Would not recommend

I only got the WTF, a face pencil, & the bronze miracle balm. Mascara was thrown in. The truth is if you are older. ( I'm 55 ) 100$ may be worth it. I am in late stage perimenopause. In the past. No matter how much water I drank. Night moisturizer I used. Liquid foundations I tried. ( for my age range ) Dried. Got cakey, & streaked. It is minimal to medium coverage. Which I prefer. Especially to looking like a clown / horror show in the sunlight, or my doctor's office. I like a more natural face most of the time. I can also use the bronzer on my eyes, & lips. Topped with light mascara. I have eye liner, eye shadows, & other much less expensive lip shades. If I need to build a full face.
Great Demo, but isnt this meant for more mature skin? Honestly, beautiful as you are, you look better with nothing, as in the beginning, not with all that "color"... and yes, an update on how it lasted til bedtime would be great. Did the tackiness go away??
Although I am a very mature natural brunette gone white/grey, my skin is almost the same color as yours, with a slight rudiness. I normally go light or beige, but the WTF colors are so close I am tempted to go medium so the yellow will balance out the redness in my skin. I can balance out with the golden magic hour and the light concealer if it’s too dark. So excited as my skin has been ver dry for years, I love your channel and subscribed for a makeup influencer for 😊
I'd love to know how it wore during a full day. Did it slide off, as it was quite an oily product?? Check-ins at several points during a day would be really helpful x
I have it. I have very dry skin. Almost 70 with lines. It wears all day. Does not change at all. Where you put it, it stays. Does not melt, does not dry. Stays exactly as when you put it on. It’s the ONLY foundation/tinted moisturizer I found (and I’ve tried many), that makes me look better than my own skin.
If you have normal skin and no moisturizer on, then it shouldn’t slide-which I think was mentioned in the video. Mine definitely stays on when I wear it.
Anyway, it’s Winter now and I’ve decided to use Jones Road for my Summertime look because it’s so dewy looking. I just don’t love a dewy face on me in the winter.
It’s also buildable which is nice!
I've been using JR for about 8 months now and love, love all the products. I'm almost finished my WTFoundation. I love the miracle balm and use it every day. I'm an older woman so the balminess of the products are wonderful. So easy to use and look good even without foundation.

My daughter and I sat around and played with all the products and fell in love with them. I LOVE them! I can hear the compliments already! I have purchased WTF foundation, Miracle Balm and mascara. First jar had big chunks of something in it. The exchange was super easy, however, the second jar had the same problem, but the "chunks" were lower in the jar. I didn't return it again as I have no expectation that the third jar wouldn't have the same problem. The Miracle Balm is an amazing product for me and my dry skin. The mascara dried out after about 8 weeks. Not sure if I'll buy other products to try out.

I'm 65 and love Bobbi Brown makeup but I can't stand Jones Road. The smell of the miracle balm is too chemically. I know I'm not the only one because when I returned the products I was asked why? and the smell was one of their options!!! I find all of this stuff too stiff and smelly...

Lovely video. I just saw your channel for the first time. I enjoyed the way you reviewed the products. I've been so tempted to try the Miracle Balm, but hesitate because of the price. I'd love it if Jones Road would come out with some "minis" for purse, travel, trying different colors, etc. Or maybe a holiday set. I do love lip & cheek sticks; I'll have to consider trying theirs.

It is more oily than sticky unless you set it with some powder!! 👍🏼
Can’t stand the smell, its tacky and sticky, when the wind blows my hair sticks to the face
If you find it tacky & sticky that means you’re using too much.
I don’t like the regular cosmetic fragrance, they are too sweet or some kind of food such as vanilla or fruits. MB smells more like herbal, and I love it. It reminds of Japanese products, I spent my youth there… more subtle and fresher TO ME.
I have been using the miracle balm for over a year and you’ve convinced me yo expand my repertoire. I’d like to try the foundation and eye pencil.

I would really like to try that WTFoundation; it sounds just like what I would love- super light and bare coverage. Seeing the steps on this order was helpful too. I am realizing that I need to apply a translucent powder to set so I don’t feel so “heavy” on my face.

That's very kind...I'm probably not the best skin type to see its 'coverability' BUT I wouldn't invest in this if your main aim was to find a medium coverage foundation...it has low coverage - less than a bb i would say!!

I am so excited to try the balms. I'm going with both of the shades you ordered because it's the most everyday friendly look for me and I can always add more metallic shadows to jazz it up, but keeps the skin looking natural-ish/lighter makeup. I am having more and more problems with creasing around my eyes as I age but I can't stop laughing so I've stopped caring about it and just make sure I keep as moisturized as possible under my eyes. Bobbi brown makeup was cruelty free, people misunderstand that the companies that sell makeup haven’t tested on animals for years, the misconception is in the fact that if they want to sell their products in China, the country tests on animals, not the actual company, so when Bobbi sold her company to Estée Lauder in 1995, they of course sell worldwide including China😥 the last I had heard as of January 2023 China has stopped requiring animal testing… so hopefully all animal testing across the globe stops soon not just in the cosmetics industries!!
I bought the balms in bronze and flushed. I have to say I absolutely hated them. They smell like candle wax and they’re so sticky my hair just sticks to my face. Not a fan at all. Total waste of money.
Hey Emma, sorry im only just seeing this message; yes, its a very 'sticky' brand and actually the products I still use today are the eye pencils, lip and cheek tint and the mascara!! Shame really!:-(

I feel like you’d lose so much product sharpening the concealer and eyebrow pencils. And the eyebrow pencil is way too thick! Great video though xx
First of all, I adore you! I am 57 and I have dry skin in the winter and these products are perfect for me. I don't wear them in the summer or spring because I live in a climate that is hot and humid, but winter is brutal. I love Jones Road, Bobbi, and I am happy for her. OK back to You, I love your energy!!!

Mmmmm I think it would be over kill! Personally I wouldn’t wear the WTF in warm/hot weather anyway I think it would feel too oily🫣

The products are beautiful, but I thought your face looked absolutely STUNNING without it. The brow pencil and eyeliner took away from the natural perfection that is your face, in my opinion. Whatever you’re doing for skincare or diet, keep it up! 🥰

@@alltheladies dermatologists always say that less is better, as far as skin care routines go. I think the 5-8 step routines irritate the skin barrier and are mostly created to sell products. I really enjoyed your video and will be back for more. Take care 😊
@@oddlilbird I think I would to agree…my grandma used ponds cream and my mum washes her face with soap and water and then the most basic Aldi day cream and she’s looking great😅👐🏼….its quite saddening seeing the younger girls using so many products on their skin, one to strip it the other to add moisture and so on!!! Sounds like the foundation would be good for people with dry skin like me but does it feel tacky ? Wish they did trial sizes as £42 is quite expensive especially if you choose the wrong colour.
in my experience. Maybe right after, but then it sets. Everyone's skin is different though. It is a risk. For me it paid off. I am in late stage Perimenopause. It's a level of moisture my skin needs. No matter how much water I drank before, or night cream I used. my skin was dry.
PS. Forgot to say. I took the foundation quiz on the website. They also had one for the Miracle Balm, based on skin type / undertone, & how you wanted to use it. Both worked very well for me. Even when I was in direct sunlight. ( I was curious. I took out my compact )
I am 70 and have been using some of these products since they came out. I use WTF, Miracle Balm, face pencils, and cream shadow. After the pandemic I was into less is more. These cosmetics are designed for a no-makeup, soft, dewy look. If you want heavy coverage, not for you. Thank you for the great tutorial.

Mmm as it’s such a tiny amount of coverage/pigment I would say it’s great for a few hours👍🏼💕….the mascara is amazing and the lip and cheek sticks have stain power for all day long👍🏼

I've been very curious about this product line, but I'm struggling to find an individual who was educated on the product line and experimented with a large variety of the products before providing their "review." A lot of the others did to seem to understand that you must set products like this for longevity and to neutralize the sticky factor. Thank you again!
Bobbi brown/ Estée Lauder is/was cruelty free… if companies wanted to sell their products in China the COUNTRY tested on animals NOT the company… so any product sold in China was tested on animals… I do believe in recent years this has changed but I could be wrong!

That's absolutely brilliant! I am not a foundation user but I would like to start using one. What colour should I pick? I can't make mistakes as it is not a cheap one. Once, I have done quite extensive questionaire with a JR competitior about my skin to detetermine the right foundation colour. What I got at the end was pretty yellow and nothing like my skin shade.
It's beautiful but it looks sticky and thick. The blush is literally my version of lipstick and moisturizer mixed together so that my face matches.. looks beautiful.
I’m 62 and have good skin. So I wear tinted moisturizer mostly or a BB cream. I am interested in this and your review was the most helpful I have seen. My skin is normal to dry combo so I think it would work for me. Thank you. ❤

Here's the question I have... Does the color stay where you put it? Especially on a face that can become somewhat oily? I got a similar moistrous blusher from Selena Gomez's line and I loved the color, loved the way it looked and after a few hours, it had simply disappeared.
I have 2 different colors of WTF…. I think they run a bit darker than expected. I also got several of the miracle balms. It takes a while to get used to the tacky feel but it wears so beautifully throughout the day. I do have dry skin so it works for me. I wish the eyeshadow came in more colors. The makeup looks fabulous on you!

Every time I use something different, something with more coverage, I regret it and wish I'd just stuck with my WTF and Miracle Balms! It's such a wonderful, natural blur and brightening.❤

Wow!!!!!! Your skin looks so beautiful; you have a beautiful glow within lit look that’s just beautiful and the very black mascara brings life to your blue eyes they look more blue. The application is just gorgeous. I love my Jones Road products but have several more products to purchase. I have been a longtime Bobbi brown makeup wearer so I knew that Jones Road would be a hit. Thank you for what you do.

I've seen several reviewers wearing this and I can tell that they're wearing it, because it looks like tinted Vaseline. I can't figure out why ppl want to look like they have oily skin.🤷♀️
Yes it’s VERY oily! Saying that, I did really enjoy testing it out and I think it seems it may suit a dry older skin👍🏼 I wear it on Sundays when I want just a natural glow✨🥰
That was my thought as well. I'm told it gives a "dewy" finish, which translates to youthful, but also oily. I have oily normal skin so I don't even know why I'm watching this as this would make the oiliness worse and I'm no spring chicken.
I have been using these products for over a year off and on. They are good, but it is tiring to keep sharpening the pencils. It is also hard to pick shades for the face pencils and you end up buying quite a few. I have used the balm all over the face and then the pencils as a foundation. I also have the WTF in medium which is a bit too dark, so I will try the beige. Thank you for this review. I agree the comments on these products have been harsh but they are products you need to get used to and work with for awhile.
That is what I want to do. The balm first, then the pencil,,then the foundation. So happy you mentioned this.
@@Nikalette100 Hi, you should watch a few of BB's shorts. The WTF does not need the balm under it as it is a skin care type product. If you use the balm alone, then the pencils are used as the foundation. The balm can be used over the WTF as a blush and lip product. Hope this was helpful.

I've been wanting to try these products but just can't bring myself to click the "check out cart"...lol...I'm worried about how long they wear, the sticky feel, and if it just sort of slides off combination skin 😬
I would recommend all the products I loved in this haul but the WTF Foundation is ONLY suitable (in my honest opinion) for very dry skin👍🏼💫
@@alltheladies I think I'll save that one for winter months when my skin is drier. I'm in south Alabama near the gulf coast and it's SO humid and hot here in the summer...hard to find the right foundation. 😕
