I think it's because they are from different families working together. Be careful when you visit unknown territory. I get tricked all the time here in Sri Lanka when I try to help people. Money is the root of all evil.

Don’t splash your money in front of strangers when travelling . Some people are good. Some are greedy and have evil minds. In a worse case scenario it may lead to life threatening situations. People could harm you. In certain situations some individuals harm a person to extract a few dollars. We have to understand that we are living in a strange and complex world. Good intentions don’t always work.

My experience in Indonesia,do not show that you have lots of cash in public and do not show that you are very generous.Suddenly people around you will start asking for their shares of money including corrupt immigration officers.some will even starts to follow you

The problem with Davud is he always think in USD. So the 300 grand in rupiahs is about USD 20 which is not so much in global value. Btw the ladies soliciting more when Davud gave the first 200k made the scene become stale and spoiled.
Chocolate is toxic to most animals, so if those were chocolate sprinkles, you can't given them to chickens. I doubt these villagers know enough about the dangers of chocolate and any sign of illness is promise of a chicken meal.

So creepy😱😱😱 at first the coofee owner said it free, then when she saw your money then ask your to pay for the water.. then ask you to have another proper breakfast at their kitchen then at the end who knows, they will ask you again to pay for the food they force you to eat..

Those ladies barely speak English, and when you told the warung lady to give another 100k to the other lady, she didn’t understand. She thought you gave her 200k because you bought cake and bread from her warung.
And another lady offered you to come to her house because she cooked “plecing kangkung” water spinach with balinese sauce for you but you weren’t understand what she said.

It was pretty clear even without language that they were trying to pressure him into giving money. Which is not ok regardless of how "seamingly" accomodating they are. Being kind just to request money is not ok.

I had a good laugh brother. That was really a turn off. Pity u brother .. it's ok atleast u learn by mistake not to show your wallet in front of everyone. I usually when I travel and going to a certain place I would separate my cash and big notes I put in a secret compartment and what I wanna spend I put in wallet so it won't look like u have alot of money inside. And it will be ok to show them the wallet .. so separate what u want to spend and go to that place .. invade something happen like this all u gotta do is show your wallet what u have.. so it may be small change or something doesn't matter cuz u separated bigger noted or bigger money aside.
But you know they are nice people just bcuz u gave some money they want to welcome you and give you some food or something. But for me personally I don't like people who ask money just for nothing.

He gave the money to the lady with kid 'for you' and signed that the money be distributed to the rest of family members (but they are not family members). Unfortunately the lady wrongly assumed that the money was for her alone and that Davud gave it to her due to her having small kid. So they rest of the ladies were mad, especially the lady in pink who prepared the drink for him.
