These two Dutch girls are traveling around Indonesia, the videos are very good to watch he mingled with the local island community visited by brave girls
Hi Susan, nice to see your video again, your Indonesian is getting better, you made a little mistake when you asked for the name of a person and the name of a food or something. In English "What" can be used to ask a name or something, but in Indonesia it is different. To ask someone's name use "Siapa ...?" (in English is "Who"): "Siapa nama kamu/ anda?". In Indonesia you also have to remember this: In Indonesia, it's impolite to say "Kamu" to someone who is older than us, unless you mean it, or don't know it yet. Use these question words to ask those who are older than you (ma'am/sir), "Siapa nama ibu?"/ "Nama ibu siapa?" (FEMALE); "Siapa nama bapak?"/ "Nama bapak siapa?" (MALE), so they will respect you. This is another question word, "Siapa?" (who) "Siapa yang pergi ke pasar Ampenan bersama Susan?", "Siapa namanya?" "Kapan?" (when), "Dimana?" (where), "Kenapa/ mengapa?" (why), "Berapa?", "Bagaimana?" (how) That's it :)
Girls, a Lombok local here. The snack's name is 'Cerorot'. And the white sticky rice thing is pounded sticky rice, so in a way similar to mochi in the making, and yes it is savory and so it is paired with the green and mushier one, and the pair is called 'Poteng', also called 'Jaje Tujak' (don't even try to remember it 😂).
Love to see how you both chatting interacting with local, friendly environment... The local saying in bahasa sasak said... "How come both of you so adorable, so beautiful"
Just for correction Use "siapa" just for asking someone name And "apa'' for asking things name Use "anda" if u ask older people than you for politeness. Use "kamu'' for friends or someone younger than you like children, teenagers, and something
Enjoy your videos. I live on Lombok, the south coast. It's nothing like that. Wide open spaces against the ocean, traffic on the road is water buffalos and women carrying baskets on their head.

Good video.❤ In a way, you are indirectly motivating the children there to travel, learn new languages and enjoy life with freedom. If possible spend more time with local children so that they too start dreaming of seeing the world. * Your friend resembles Yanny the composer.😊
Groetjes .
Amazing Video i enjoy very cool Love it you are so pretty beautiful stunning Queen Looks awesome cool great time Take Care yourself stay Safe looking forward all day Love ❤
Hi Susan here is a little suggestion (sedikit masukan) : when asking the name of an older person do not use "siapa nama kamu" but use "siapa nama anda/bapak/ibu" to be more polite or respectful to the other person if asking about the name you can use the word "siapa" but if asking the name of an object/ things, you can use the word "apa" example: apa nama ini ?" or "apa namanya" instead of using the words "siapa nama ini ?" (minute 5:18) I hope this helps
Nice to see you travel back with Jil again. Just a quick note: you use "siapa" only for a person. If you want to ask what is the name of this? then you will say "ini namanya apa?" or just "ini apa?" If you don't know the word and you want them to explain to you more then you say "[word] itu apa?"

Two pretty girl with humble& generous heart traveling around the world.. learning hospitality from the local, and became one of them.👏👏
Siapa nama ? = for people
Apa Nama ? = for thing, situation, condition.
Have a great journey 😍

Use "anda" if u ask older people than you for politeness.

to be more polite or respectful to the other person
if asking about the name you can use the word "siapa"
