OMG! you just passed through ES Buah PK , that was my favorite iced fruit cocktail when I was a student 15 years ago... When I visit Jogja (my hometown), I sometimes stop by & eat Bakso & Iced fruit cocktail on that place.. Soto Ayam Boyolali is not originally from Jogja...many special food restaurants from other cities open their branches in Jogja.. The best soto originally from Jogja is Soto Kadipiro ( Jalan Wates no.33, Bantul). Many open with the same name, but this is the original one. You should try Sambal SS Restaurant (there are many branches in Jogja), Ayam Goreng Suharti (jalan Laksda Adisucipto 208), Ayam Goreng Tojoyo 3 (Jalan Urip Sumoharjo 133). Street food vendor next to the Bethesda hospital is one of best one called Bakso Bethesda 74. (Jalan johar nurhadi)....Restaurant Duta Minang (special with rendang, many branches in Jogja). In Jogja, you can also find Sego Liwet & TIMLO Solo (special food originaly from Solo/Surakarta city). 🤩🙏
Lekker cake actually existed during the Dutch era in Indonesia. At that time, food ingredients were limited, so they made cakes using whatever ingredients they had, namely rice flour, wheat flour, topped with chocolate banana, then folded. Local people like it because it is delicious, so it is known as kue Lekker.
You should try noodle called 'Yamie Panda' its very delicious come check if you still in Jogja located in a market near Tugu train station. Its a local brand too.
You can Visit to Klaten for Umbul Pongok n umbul penganten n umbul cokro n other umbul...thats all are the pools with the clear water you can swim with the fish top
Thank you for visiting my hometown, Yogyakarta, it feels like I am going home. Soto in Yogya is usually morning food, for breakfast. So if you are looking for soto after 9 o'clock, usually the soto is already habis or sold out.
Sya dari bandung,JABAR sangat terkesan dgn kota Yogyakarta..penduduk nya ramah dan kaya akan budaya.tentu kota lain d indonsesia pun demikian.. Selamat menikmati perjalanan yg menyenangkan,susan.. Saya sgt menikmati video anda..🥰
The people of Yogyakarta are friendly and kind to every guest from within the country and abroad who visits the city of Yogyakarta. Please come to Yogyakarta City. In fact, as a whole, Indonesian people are also friendly and kind because it is part of Indonesian culture that is very open to every guest who comes.
I guess this is Kranggan Traditional Market close to Jogja's Tugu Monument, there is good Soto ayam in front of market under the stairs but at 10 a clock it is kinda late, try it next time susan..
Sya berdoa smoga kakak RUclipsr ini sehat slalu, dan buat warga lokal tolong lindungi mereka, mreka adalah tamu yg wajib kita sambut prlihatkan kepada dunia Inilah Indonesia...
You can explore food with "gojek" like "grab", it has map and pictures of food on it, and you can go to "kraton jogja/jogja palace" and "Brandenburg" its near "malioboro" or you can also visit "prambanan temple" that still on jogja
Hi Susan, if you come back to Jogja in the future. You should try "Soto Pak Dalbe". He's one of my favourite 👍 But, he's open only in the morning, and usually sold out after 12-1 PM
Yogyakarta chicken soup is usually a breakfast menu, so you have to have it in the morning before 10 o'clock, there are many types of soto in Jogja from clear soup to coconut milk soup, from clear to yellow soup with turmeric, Tips: look for soto in campus areas in Yogya, there will definitely be some, enjoy Yogya 🙏😁 Soto prices range from cheap to expensive. funfact: free-range chickens are native chickens from an area, raised without factory food intake, so they are naturally healthy chickens (usually the price of free-range chickens tends to be expensive)
Yogyakarta and Solo... both places have great and delicious meals with reasonable, affordable, and cheap prices. Better to surf by web first which stalls worthed to visit
Terutama Siti ayam khas Jogya bikin nagih. Salam sehat dan sukses my freinds. Good luck
Visit another city in java. Like east java... i recomend you to visit the second big city of indonesia called surabaya.. in east java so many delicious food there...
Historical facts about the green enamel cup/teapot in traditional markets: originally from the Netherlands and Belgium brought by a Dutch trader named Jan Mooijen in 1845. In Indonesia, it is synonymous with workers and farmers and has become a symbol of their social class
In Yogya, soto is usually eaten for breakfast, around 8-9am max, Susan. Many markets are also open since very early in the morning, e.g. 4am, and business concludes at around 9-10am, including for soto and other food stalls within the markets.. Fruits commonly found in the west, such as apples, oranges, and grapes, are commonly imported these days. Tropical fruits such as bananas, pineapples, and mangos will most likely be locally sourced within Indonesia.
Nah, indonesian oil is the healthiest. Its palm oil. Unlike vegs oil in europe which got oxidized easily. Palm oil doesnt oxidize in pretty high temperature.
We have different types of Soto, Suzan. Soto Medan, Soto Kudus, Soto Lamongan, Soto Padang. Every Soto comes from a different region in Indonesia and has a unique taste. You should try.
In the Indonesian market, when you buy goods, you have to bargain the price so that you can get a cheaper price than what the seller is offering, just say "BISA KURANG"
Ofc, Leker comes from the Dutch word, and not all of us know about that. The differences between Holland and Indonesian leker are the size and the contents.

Kalau di jawa timur dan jawa tengah apakah harga makanan sama murahnya seperti di Jogjakarta?
Kalau di Jawa Barat cobalah mencari makanan dan buah buahan langsung dari lahan pertaniannya.
