If these family fights didn't happen and dragons were allowed to grow to full size the night king would of got smoked. Literally. They couldn't handle 1 and 3 were trashing them could you imagine 10 to 20 and way bigger some even full grown
There was always going to be scheming behind the scenes no matter what cause old town / hightowers , and the maesters and the faith of the seven could not accept the targaryens as rulers . So they were trying to kill the dragons .
But I absolutely think the Queen who never was would have been a great queen and stronger then her cousin the King in many ways . But she would have been just the right amount of fire and blood but still fair and just a lot like Aegon the Conq. And Jaeherys was very much stern when it called for it but gentle also .
Everything working out perfectly is a boring story. It leaves no room for character development or the opposite. Characters needs flaws. That’s what draws people in is similarities and familiarities.
