The Ashley Madison hack of 2015 was headline news all across the world.
In July of 2015 an unknown hacking group named "The Impact Team" stole the entire database from the Ashley Madison affair dating website.
Unlike typical corporate hacks, this destroyed families, divorced spouses and damaged households all across the US. Celebrities were found to have Ashley Madison accounts including Josh Duggar, Hunter Biden, and Sam Rader.
Not only were its users hacked, but Ashley Madison CEO - Noel Biderman had his personal information, emails, and secret documents leaked that lead to him being removed as CEO.

But there are times we’re people get in trouble simply for being in an ethical non-monogamous relationship, or where they split from their spouse for a divorce and the spouse reported them cheating and the CO acted on it. @@luigi7834 i think it really depends on the people you have around you.
I dont have any friends who cheated on their girlfriends but i know that multiple of them got cheated on by the woman.
I also have a gay friend who never cheated himself but got cheated on by his boyfriend multiple times.
So i think it strongly depends on the people around you.
Because men are going to complain about woman and vice versa so its never really a fair judgement, which is understandable.
I also wouldnt be able to have a friend that cheats on their significant other because how am i going to trust them with anything myself?
When we fall in love we easily ignore warning signs untill its too late and then everything a person does is despicable.

They forgot to give Credit to Anile Newites, who cracked the code about the fembots. She was a highly skilled techie who wrote a tech column for a San Francisco newspaper in the 1990s. She was polyamorous and had a complex sex life, so I don't think that she cracked the files about the cheaters themselves. She just would not have cared that much. But exposing the fembots, that was taking down the man. Or maybe she just enjoyed the challenge. Anyway, it enhanced her reputation as a writer/researcher/hacker on tech matters.

It isn’t something these people could have anticipated. It usually occurs when marriages are at a low point that no one expected and the person (usually a man) wants something exciting on the side. It’s about people wanting something more, not wanting something else. Anyone who knows anything about life will tell you that open relationships are illegitimate and just a step toward divorce or something worse.

@@poisonmantis4191 Poly and open relationships are fads that pop up every decade or so (read the scientific literature on intimate relationships if you don’t believe me). They don’t last and only attract very unstable, miserable people. Some people get this nutty idea that human beings can just do whatever they want and have it somewhat function if it what they think they want, but the truth is we know for a fact that there is only a very limited scope of viable relationship options, and they all basically succeed or fail for the same reasons.
