  • i can finally present to you the entire process of making the REMEMBER THE DEAD OF NIGHT linocut print.
    i've been working on this print for the last couple of months, so it feels good to be done with it. i've been trying to make my linocut prints more detailed and i really like what i was able to achieve here, especially with the hair. going forward i hope to make even more complex pieces

    tools and materials i use:
    pfeil carving tools
    large V shape B15/6
    small V shape L11/3
    medium U shape L12/1
    large U shape L8/7
    i use a paperlike screen protector on my iPad
    paperlike.com/emil
    i print all my prints with cranfield safewash relief inks on japanese kozo paper.
    the linoleum is made by forbo/best and i buy it by the meter from aartdevos.dk

      I nearly believed I dreamed about this video and get crazy to not found it again 😂😅 Still your video is both useful and terribly mesmerizing ! Seems you're not using tons of tools, what are the size and shape you most frequently use ? Keep going, regards from France.

    I wonder, how many prints can a lino give you before the quality starts diminishing?

      one time i printed around 200 of the same small print. i begun to notice that the edges were starting to crumble a little bit but i could probably have printed another 100 before it would be too deteriorated to keep printing

      i'm using brown linoleum, but im sure you could use paperboard as well

      i mostly use the brown lino, i dont think there is a difference
