  • Hey everyone,
    Here's yet another one of the films shared on Getty Images recently - this one being shot on November 23rd 1964 for the Beatles' appearance on Ready Steady Go. In this film, clips of both the dress rehearsal and actual broadcast were shot, including interviews! To avoid copyright protection issues, I have synced the footage of She's A Woman to a BBC performance from August 1965. All other audio used for the sync is taken from the actual broadcast (except one interview clip of John, which was actually cut from the broadcast and is now lost). Enjoy!
    Track Listing:
    1. Introduction / Setup 0:00
    2. She's A Woman (Dress Rehearsal) 1:04
    3. I Feel Fine 1:21
    4. Interview with John and Ringo 1:23
    5. She's A Woman 2:09
    6. Baby's In Black 3:15

      Yes it would have been great, though 'Yes It Is' wouldn't be recorded until two and a half months later. Who knows if it had even been written at the time of this television appearance?

    Can’t find the getty page but is there any DC5 out of this collection? Just asking considering he was on there all the time and I believe still owns RSG rights.

      @@claradiaz3147 Your previous comment is nonsense.
      "She's a Woman" received poor reviews in Japan. It was well received in the US. At that time, R&B wasn't that well received in Japan. America is the home of the blues.

    Why the girls are not histerycal like everywhere at this time?

    • @hollstrom
      @hollstrom 5 месяцев назад +2

      Because this was recorded in a TV studio and for them to be so close they had to behave, they were instructed by the TV people that they can't go mad in a TV studio

    • @cursino1
      @cursino1 5 месяцев назад

      @@hollstrom Ok. But in several others tv broadcast, like Ed Sullivan Show, girls became hysterical and screamed

    • @hollstrom
      @hollstrom 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@cursino1you will noticed that the audience is not as close to the stage in the Ed Sullivan shows and is bigger than Ready Steady Go. In the British show, it was a privilege to be able to attend the show, because you were literally next to the band, in the US show there was a clear divide. If you get so close to the stars in a TV setting, the TV people will tell you about what you can do and what you cannot do. Also, Ed Sullivan was a live show giving the fans a real concert feeling while Ready Steady Go was not a live performance, with the fans knowing that this is not like a regular live concert.

      @cursino1 5 месяцев назад

      @@hollstrom I agree with what you said.
      But some performances at Ready Steady Go, such as those by the Rolling Stones, had a frenzied audience, requiring several people to contain them.

      They in a studio not in a concert venue there's a difference which may the reason the had audience would of had to act more calmer as control of there behaviour
