    Hey everyone! I'm super excited to share this project with you today: a cozy cat ear beanie. It's easy, quick to do, and perfect for beginners! In just a few hours, you can whip up your very own warm crochet hat. And this tutorial will walk you through every step.
    Materials:
    Big Twist Renewal Yarn in "Green"
    - Weight: Light (3)
    - Fiber: 100% Recycled Acrylic
    - Approximate total weight: 80g
    4.0 mm Clover Amour Crochet Hook: amzn.to/3noE9mz
    Yarn Needle: amzn.to/3CuwV8A
    Scissors: amzn.to/43G61Xb
    Dimensions:
    26cm chain
    40cm rows
    Project Level:
    This project is great for those who are just starting out. It incorporates basic stitches and features a repetitive pattern that becomes easy to follow as you get the hang of it. Furthermore, it's a compact project, which means you won't need as much time to complete it.
    Stitches:
    Slip Knot (sk)
    Chain (ch)
    Half Double Crochet (hdc)
    Slip Stitch (sl st)
    Notes:
    - Make sure the stitch count is the same for each row to ensure straight edges
    - The chain 1 at the beginning of each row does NOT count as a half double crochet
    - Line up your rows with stitch markers to make seaming easier and more neat
    Send me a picture of your finished cat ear beanie/sack hat on Instagram @viv.crochets! I’d love to see it!
    Thanks for watching!

  • @annaswindell6301

    I've tried this tutorial twice. The first time i didn't measure my head and did 72 chains/72 rows. It turned into a pillow case. Second time I did 62 chains/60 rows & it still was too long anne slightly too big. I used a 5mm hook with size 4 medium yarn. Idk what I'm doing wrong. Do you think it's the hook size??

    • @VivCrochets
      @VivCrochets  3 месяца назад +2

      It is both your yarn and hook size! I did 61 chains and 66 rows with a 4mm hook and size 3 yarn. If you’re using a bigger hook and yarn, you will need less chains and less rows. I recommend measuring it against your head, especially if you use a different hook size and yarn!

      @@VivCrochets but if a few stitches off should be fine, how would I continue since the sides are uneven?

    • @VivCrochets
      @VivCrochets  6 месяцев назад

      For example, let’s say I have 60 stitches in the first row and 56 in the last. When I stitch the ends together, I would have to use 4 of the stitches in my last row two times. So you basically stretch it out a little, but since it’s only a couple of centimeters, it’s barely noticeable. I wouldn’t recommend doing it for a larger difference, though!

    • @VivCrochets
      @VivCrochets  7 месяцев назад

      The chains you do should not be able to wrap around your head. They are for the vertical length of the beanie! The rows are what you should keep making to fit your head and you’ll need a lot more than 9 rows!

      Yes, if you continue to follow the pattern with 67 starting chains. But, if you want to work your hat in the other direction, you can! So instead of working rows to wrap around your head, you can work rows for the vertical length of the beanie
