Thanks for watching! Let me know your thoughts on the iPhone 15 with Flow Gimbal footage below :) If you want that look check out my new cinematic LUTs for iPhone footage: bit.ly/iphoneLUTS
Joey!!! you are my inspiration and I wanted to ask if you offer lessons in how to become a filmmaker like you? Im tired of looking around and no results. you have the true passion for this craft!! Please let me know!!! Thanks!!
Your video states that you filmed this in ProRes but I reached out to insta 360 and they confirmed that the app does not support filming in ProRes. Would be interested in hearing how you managed to.
Its a bit about both. I'd say 70-80% skill, which I lack. But equipment get you close to the result you want. A gimbal really goes a long way with any camera to getting these really smooth shots, some shakey handheld footage doesn't always cut it.
yeah, dont mean to hate but I feel this video is good mainly because of editing, not so much because of the camera - editing - interesting places - sound effects those 3 factors in this case play a bigger role than the iphone camera, in terms of picture/pixels/sharpness/detail etc. I mean if the very same shots were made on iphone 12 it wouldnt look any different and would still give the same vibe and end product. great work though!
@@p1roncho I disagree, it takes knowledge on camera movement, preparation, experience as a street filmmaker or photography. I can tell you its not easy.
I’m really impressed, just fantastic! The camera movements, the composition, the structure of the film, and last but not least, the stunning visuals. Absolutely sensational!💯💯❤
This is brilliant. Brilliant shots, brilliant editing, the sound design and transition work (both in-camera and in post) are excellent and I enjoyed this video a lot. However, I wouldn't call it cinematic for most shots.
the footage looks smooth...been wanting to get a stabiliser for my iphone to start making videos like this, are those timelapses mostly post edited or does it come with the gimbal? I''ve seen many revies on the insta360 flow and might be a good chance to get it now
This looks great but your video states that it was Fillmed in ProRes Log but i can not find any info that shows that the Insta 360 Flow supports ProRes Log format , and lots of people saying that it does not...
I reached out to insta 360 support and they confirmed that the flow and insta app does not support ProRes . I’d be interested in what app you used for recording with the flow…
Smooth transition! curious to see some behind the scenes or tutorial on how this is achieved, can you do it with just phone or is a mobile gimbal necessary? considering buying a flow but not sure how well it would help me
This is incredible, I wanted to ask you a bit about your workflow/equipment - do you use any ND filter to keep 180 shutter angle, or just roll with ProRes LOG in default iPhone camera app?
Great video brother! It would be great if you could do a breakdown of this edit and talk about your thought process behind it? Also, talk about your approach to shooting the way you did? Keep it up! Cheers.
Nice. Thanks for sharing. Nice touch at end with all the specs. IWas it hard to use a gimbal with a SSD? I am assuming that you did so because of the log. That must have been a lot of memory.
Stunning film! I cannot add any extra accolades beyond of what others have already said. I do have a question though .. how were you able to get the close ups of the people? I've visited Taipei a few times and I found that people were generally not fond of being filmed. I think including people in the film brings it alive but I'm often scared to film people in public as I've been told off a few times. Of course, I wasn't shoving a camera in their faces, I was filming them respectfully and from a distance but they didn't like it. So I'm very curious how you were able to get such wonderful footage of people going about their daily activities.

Wanted to ask you how you found this song? What genre, description etc? The music is so 🔥!
Please do a hyperlapse tutorial! Do you use any of the software from the insta360 flow?
Is not about camera, is about skill.
True…
Its a bit about both. I'd say 70-80% skill, which I lack. But equipment get you close to the result you want. A gimbal really goes a long way with any camera to getting these really smooth shots, some shakey handheld footage doesn't always cut it.
Of course the camera matters. Pretty sure this video won’t be as good if using an iphone 6s plus. But skill makes the difference.
i agree
Well said
This is where editing is masterclass.
yeah, dont mean to hate but I feel this video is good mainly because of editing, not so much because of the camera

- interesting places
- sound effects

@@guillermomiranda_gm re-read my comment, I am talking about the equipment, not about the knowledge.
Are you even human Joey? This deserves an Emmy… 😮
The camera and gimbal are great but your creativity and skill is spectacular. Thanks for sharing your gift.
This calls for a movie screen to show it. For some reason it brings back memories of summer.
That transition of the old dude on the bike here 2:30 is just so clean!
As always, amazing. Transitions are perfect and it's impossible to stop watching until the end. Bravo.
Thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏

So captivating! Those transitions were so smooooth 👌🏼
Thanks a million :)
It looks like a real cinematic masterpiece, all with a minimalist setup ❤
Wow, thank you!
A video to have your opinion between Insta360 Flow and DJI Osmo would be great. Plus a tuto on how you film. Thank you for the inspiration.
Whaaaaat dha actual f. This is one of the best footage I’ve seen in my lifetime.
I love this style of editing 🤩 Incredible showreel!

Had an absolute blast in Taiwan! :) Can only recommend it to everyone else!
@@Joey_Helms Thank you Joey. Wish you have a great holiday season and wonderful new year.
Something about it says it's shot on a phone camera but I refuse to think that way because the editing is top class.
Thanks for bringing me back to Taipei. Immersive shots. Well done

Are there hyperlapses in here or is it editing magic
我只有两个选择,不是把我的iphone 15 pro max 砸了就是把我的insta 360砸了。。一样的东西,为啥你就能拍的这么好~~~

Not yet, but if interest is high I could make a breakdown of the edit. You can find more phone video tutorials on the channel :)

Magnificent images. For the use of Insta Flow and your iPhone, did you use the Insta360 application, if how did you film in prores? Good day.
Thanks! I used mostly the native app. Only for some hyperlapses I used the insta360 app.
