I was in Chicago for the music festival. So it’s g real to see this. I’d like to know what equipment if any Joey used. A follow-up video how it was all done would be amazing! Rare I watch something twice.
As a creative 55 of my 70 total years I must say that the callousness the youth shows to having a cinema camera in your phone is utterly mind boggling for me. In your pocket you can, at any moment, capture slices of beautiful time, of people’s lives, for all to share in better quality than most cinema ever produced! You are lucky. Go. Make. Please.
the framing, the audio, the color grading, the transitions… ALL SO GOOOD DUDE! I know cameras are good on smartphones but man your editing is insane! I’ve watched your previous videos with older phones and the editing is what makes this amazing.
Joey never ceases to amaze me, I don’t think the iPhone deserves the credit for your crazy talent and skills my friend, my administration and standing slow-clap for you my dear friend!
I'm currently in film classes and wondering what basic skills do you need to be a videographer, like what you do. I wanna start getting my foot in this type of career.
@@Agui86 for me I’d say you need to have a keen eye for detail and be aware of the people around you and what they may do…laugh, smile, cuddling etc. of course you need at least 2 good cameras, lighting, I have 8 memory cards, gimbal, I also use a drone to give me a competitive edge. Costly but you would soon make a profit.
The exceptional quality of cinematography, video editing, and audio mix shows the incredible enthusiasm and dedication invested in this project, making this a truly stunning film. Well done Joey!
It’s crazy how far phones have become. I shoot all my videos with my phone. I just got my iPhone Pro Max 15 and look forward to trying cinematic. This video looks beautiful. I’ve always loved the cool effect of moving a background back further as you did on the subway train. I gotta figure out how to do that
Give him a $200 below average camera phone, he'll still make a decent cinematic video for sure 🔥. Excellent framing knowledge, insane editing skill. You earn a new follower 🌸❤️.
Love the audio snippet of Kanye singing “chi city”. The music, the sound, camera angles, the colors, all perfect. Chicago is my home and this video felt nostalgic. Loved it. Amazing
I’m convinced that the iPhone really starts to come close to be useful as an actual cinema camera. Of course it still isn’t there, but I feel if a few things got adjusted then it totally could be useable for Hollywood productions. As for the skills, of course you need to have the skills to be able to make iPhone footage usable in movies. But that’s the same as with a cinema camera. You can have the most expensive cinema camera on the market, but if you don’t know how to frame a shot, light your scenes, what lenses to use or how to edit, then it doesn’t matter what camera you have.
Lovely footage! If possible, I would love to see another version with text on screen describing the shooting mode / action. A lot of the shots were Action shots from what it looks like! Assuming it was only color graded with no further stabilization, those pans and pull aways were fucking INCREDIBLY stable.
Love the video, and even though the iPhone can produce the images, your editing, music, and color grading do the trick. This shows how important it is to JUST SHOOT with what you've got and learn HOW to edit, color grade, and put everything together with some nice music giving this vibe.
Truly incredible. You’re editing skills are mind blowing…on top of that I can’t even imagine how much time you must have spent traveling around town to get all the footage.
Phone cameras sure come a long way! If there was a way to fix the stabilization jitter blurs. DLSRs will have some serious comp! This video was amazing!
A huge respect for the vision you had for this project.🤩 I can totally feel the amount of passion and hard work needs to be put into such projects. Keep rising brother. You got a new fan.

but the camera is really easy and powerful to use, small, lightweight and many tools within, more than mirrorless cameras

says more about your skill than the phone to be honest.
Definitely!
True, but this is the first year that ‘shot on iPhone’ videos haven’t felt like ‘impressive for a smartphone, I guess.’
Couldn’t have those colors if it wasn’t shot on log right? and skills definitely

The sun transition at 1:17 was beautiful. Excellent work!
How's that done in FCP or any editor?
Indeed that was absolutely super editing! Very smooth. Creative AF
Yes. I like the swimming fish transition as well.

Man you are so talented! Beautifully shot and edited. Excellent job as usual!
Looks amazing, man! I'm having so much fun with this LOG footage. They did an amazing job.
100% to me it’s the lack of sharpening that makes the biggest difference.
Can’t even imagine the effort that would have gone behind this! Thrilled to see this!!!
This is beyond beautiful. This is what you call talent.
This was absolutely amazing congratulations! As a wedding videographer I would pay to be able to learn editing like this! Excellent work!! ❤
