I just had this food, it is crap. Spuds taste like a box. The meat is bland but greasy.

That is too kind a description. They were the nastiest things. And the chickken was nonexistent. Lots of fatty skin and actual fat pockets. Got maybe 2 tablespoons of chicken total. The only thing mega about this meal is the yuk factor. Don't waste your money 🤑
The mashed potatoes taste like glue paste and have a gritty texture. You don't have that problem with Stouffer's because Nestle have better attention to quality.

You are right-it looks exactly the same as the regular Fried Chicken meal and the chicken doesn't look any bigger. About the only difference is the scallions in the potatoes-they should have just put parsley and as you mentioned some pepper. Think I would pass on this. Thanks Kevin.
What regular fried chicken meal? Far as I know Banquet stopped selling their regular fried chicken meal years ago. When they did sell it it only had 1 thigh, a small mashed potatoes and corn... this is thigh and a leg and a larger helping of potatoes. I wish Banquet did still sell their regular fried chicken dinner, but haven't in years.

No you are not the only one. I put butter, parsley flakes, and pepper to make them taste better. Stuff like mashed potatoes tend to taste like nothing in tv dinners.
Very tasty fried chicken you don't have to go to other chicken name brands stores. It is better taste and lot cheaper and you don't have to drive to pick it up. My opinion the banquet brand is better one.

My mom used to make this when we were kids, pretty good for instant frozen chicken.
I like this one yes banquet does have a good fried chicken.i just like their food in general and they are budget friendly.it was corn and mashed potatoes in the other fried chicken meal.
Only the legs the rest was only God knows.
The chicken looks like the mutant runt chickens that are left over. But good review.

Not only no microwaved chicken for me but no gamey tasting dark poultry meat either. I bought these in the past as a desperation choice, too exhausted to think through all the store's options for dinner. A lousy meal and wasted money but I did learn from the experience.

Thats why you cook it in the oven like the other options on the back says they are amassing when you cook them that way I'm telling you!!

Take the chicken out of the package frozen and cook in air fryer...Crispy good...Throw the potatoes in trash ..
exactly, the mashed potatoes had such a funny taste to them, I would even eat banquet or Michelenas mashed potatoes over this

Surprised he says it's not a really big meal. Because this is actually one of the biggest ones they have. He reviews them all the time he should know that...
I like this meal. However, they have gone way up in price over time. Once you get around the $4 mark you might as well just spend another couple dollars and get something from Popeyes or KFC. That said, I still like to keep a couple in the freezer in case I get hungry for chicken and don't have time to go out, etc.
Looks like the Hungry Man chicken. Very hit and miss.
Whenever I make this, I bake the chicken for maybe 15-20 mins on 425°, because my oven has an air fryer setting, I air fry it for about 10 mins to make it extra crispy. Then I just microwave the potato’s, sure it’s not the best but it’s a meal and it’s cheap and it tastes good (my opinion).

Ive been getting these for a while & I get big pieces of chicken & yes the thigh breading is a bit rough to eat I love the tatters
I just made this in the oven and it actually wasn’t that bad at all. It being crispy made it that much better
Good but I prefer to use a oven to heat up my tv meals
How do you stay thin?
This is probably the only frozen food I have ever thought was decent. I have tried both ways (microwave and oven) and I prefer the oven. But in a pinch its fine in the microwave.

I know you posted a year ago but I got 2 banquet meals my last grocery trip. I am trying this one for lunch today and using the oven. Yesterday, I tried backyard bbq (the small one). I doctored up the corn and potatoes and it was really good! I am definitely going to try some of their other meals!
