Worked for me. It did take a lot longer than 5 minutes, but there wasn't a hot water sink near the fridge that had over 6 inches of built up ice. Had to keep on warming up water in the microwave, pouring it over the ice, put the water back in the bowl, repeat. Still, worked great. Dried up all the water after and it started cooling much better not to mention more space available in the fridge now.
i had ice buildup like this and had to defrost my refrigerator. i unplugged it for a couple days. now for some reason everything freezes in my refrigerator. i even have it set to the right temperature. why is it doin this?
Hey, did you find a fix for this? I have the exact same problem! Defrosted it, then plugged it back in the next day, a couple of hours later and everything was covered in ice again 🤷♂️
If you unplug the fridge when the compressor is running your pressures in the system is not equal, if you start it right away it can harm the overload relay.
i did this but in the stand up shower not far from it slide the fridge off carpet to bathroom like 50 feet away and used shower head hot hot water on light spray tilt other way in shower dry rest basicly the game
Thanks for the melt down advice
Yea a 5 minute meltdown from Atlanta

yep
cool stuff, as long ast you got space to tilt the fridge.
Yes,just one way to do it
Why do you wait 5 minutes to plug it back in the end?

@@mrnoe67tiktokthis and the oil inside the compressor needs to come back down
So you can tilt it 45° backwards? Does this apply to hauling it as well?
Yes
Do you got to do this periodically on mini fridges ?
YES, on most mini fridges they don't have defrost cycle
@@mrnoe67tiktok just did it last night. Took a year and wasn’t cooking as good bc of the ice
i did this but in the stand up shower not far from it slide the fridge off carpet to bathroom like 50 feet away and used shower head hot hot water on light spray tilt other way in shower dry rest basicly the game

Mark 1:15 💌 …“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”💌🌼
thanks
why does that happen? Its happening to me for the first time and want to make sure there is nothing wrong with it
There is nothing wrong with you mini fridge, unlike your main refrigerator which comes with a defroster, Most mini fridges don't.
Mini fridges do that they don't have space for a defroster
@@mrnoe67tiktok Did you mean, without a defroster, we have to remove the ice manually?
