$27 for wonder man #1 has me on the floor dying of laughter. ahahahahahahahah
That guy looks like Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters 2
60’s Gold Keys have better covers than most Marvels and DC’s ever had to this day. It’s strange they aren’t worth much.
I want that Magnus you got on the rack!
It would be interesting to watch a high grade sale of yours with Gold Keys. I’m probably one of the only people that want them though.
I love the family dynamic!
I have sat on my hands and watched the sales and took notes all year. I have picked up great books and saved loads. I am aiming for Golden as well. Clean, well centered, no stamps or writing on cover. No Moderns.
Just found you guys, new sub. Great info, and appreciate the straight forward messaging. Thanks!
Secret Wars #1 is a fan favorite❤
New video!!! Happy Dance!!!!
Just picked up fantastic four #148 #157 #158 for $20.00 Canadian all were 8.0 to 9.0 raw.
I am a recent follower and I really enjoy your content. Looking forward of getting familiar with all claims sale and stuff. I am interested in what both of your personal collections hold. Ever done a video showing? Thanks and Merry Christmas!
We have, but not all at once. Pieces here and there.
Great Video with Great Advice. Love the old scary books like Weird War. Keep the videos coming!!!!
George RR wrote the wild card book series
Love that shirt man and love the show hope yall have a wonderful christmas and a happy happy new year
💙
Grooella is his sister I think 😮
$250 raw for marvel premiere 1? Crazy price
I bought Swamp Thing #50 CGG 9.2 slab for $26 on auction this year.
I really like you two. but I'm a raw collector. It would be nice if you included an idea of what raw books go for at guesstimate prices of guesstimate condition. To me, when i leave my books to my kids, they can grade them if they want, It's just not my style.
To add on, I like showing the art inside the book to whoever. Even the ads are fun. so ya raw all the way for me. Not just look what i have .... kinda. In my plastic tomb.
We can go over raw pricing, it is primarily what we sell.
It kills me that so many feel they can grade a book solely on the covers and, possibly what wraps or pieces are missing. Grading should and is way more than that.. if it is done appropriately. Buy the book people, not the label.
Love the Doc Savage #1 with the James Bama cover, definitely a tough book. Another book that is impossible to find in high grade is Shadow #1 by Archie from 1964. Do you have a copy of that book in your PC or do you ever see that book in grade in the wild?
FYI that Wild Cards is a four issue series - you said “we’ve got all three” so I thought you might think it’s a three issue series - I only know because I’m still missing one haha
I need that skeleton shirt! Where can I find one?
Dave did you hear about the cgc reholder and taking books out. and selling them for a lot as reported by Ryan at automatics comics.
I enjoy your videos. Thanks. One question: everyone keeps saying that it's a buyer's market, but aren't many sellers, like you, holding the best books until the prices recover, which really makes it not a buyer's market at all? I'm not seeing a lot of great deals on ASM keys, for example.
You have to really hunt for things!
Conventions!
I agree....it is a buyer's market....for non keys and/or books with high census counts and/or books that got overly speculated on. If you are looking for key issues, in mainstay titles -especially if they are low census counts - I don't see prices coming down. Mostly because (as you said and as pointed out in the video), there are no copies for sale. Those sellers are waiting until the market picks up again.
Curious about your feelings about the scam possibly involving CGC that was discovered.
It appears to be a sophisticated scam, and the cat is out of the bag so I’m just watching now.
The slab market is going to collapse. And there go the speculators. It is going to be a great time to buy comics this time next year.
@@futurepastvintagecollectables After getting back into comics these last couple of years, I had no idea there was so much freaking drama. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. There's big money in comics and unfortunately that attracts all sorts of nonsense. All that's going on is far above my pay grade, so I have no real skin in the game.
Are any of those Secret Wars 1 the "Blue Galactus" error variants?
I don’t think so. I haven’t found one yet in this group.
There's one page in the interior of secret wars 1 that has a miscolored Galactus in all the issues, that was corrected in the second print of secret wars 1 so the second print of the corrected color of Galactus in the second print is more rare
The best thing on the episode is his shirt
I like it
Are here any Tampa area Floridians among the subscribers/viewers who can help me; Where can I find (monthly) comic shows/swaps in the Tampa area? I'm from Europe and will be 5 weeks in the area in may/june 2024.....
2022 prices are not a proper Guage of the value of any collectable item. Between the pandemic and government stimulus money people were spending money that they didn't have to work for. Also bitcoin was a factor, many were turning bitcoin into tangible assets.
Do you know one person who sold bitcoin for money? I don't. And stimulus money? $1200? For comics? 🙄
@rvdizecw420 I know persons that used bitcoin to purchase trading cards and people that spent stimulus money on many unnecessary goods.
That weird war #1 is at least a 9.9
Negative Ghost Rider.
I warned that this was a bubble. I was ridiculed and harangued by the typical RUclips comic influencers. I was there for the 90’s bubble. This played out the same although far more visible due to social media.
Didn't most people know that, including the RUclips influencers? I mean, the pandemic lockdowns weren't exactly normal.
Bloodstone could be nominated for Space Pope and I wouldn't pay cover price for it.
I love this!
