  • Police brutality is ugly, but every person of color knows its not just White officers who are guilty. Some believe officers of the same race can behave horribly towards people who look like them.

From my experience as a 48 year old black man, the scariest officers are the black ones who have a white partner. For some reason, the black one is always more aggressive. Its like he feels he has to prove himself to his partner. Usually the white officer is quiet and non-aggressive while the black officer is looking to ESCALATE the situation. From my experience, i definitely get nervous when i see a black officer and white officer step out the same car because i know the black officer is going to do the most just to prove to his partner that he belongs.

White male 30-year Texas police officer here
In my very first year actually in my first months of training before I was allowed to be on my own 30 something years ago my training officers were all black and I noticed that they treated black people that we encountered on calls and on the street harshly not all of them but some of them
And I thought to myself why did the black people treat their own people harder than they treat other races
I don't think I've ever treated white people harsher than I've treated other people I've tried to be even-keeled all across the spectrum through all my years
And I think I've done a pretty good job of it
But I cannot say that for all the officers that I've observed through the years both that my department and other departments that we have interacted with
I have to side with Isiah Carey on this one
I don't know how this one officer has never seen that happen with other black officers

I am prior Law Enforcement. I have been on several call over the years with black officers. When we arrival to calls I’ve seen black and white officers put on black gloves with the intent of assaulting black citizens. I have also seen black officers that have allowed white officers to completely treat black citizens horrible. When I spoke up on a call about the mistreatment I started receiving so much hate from this white officer. Prior to that I trusted this officer to back me up on several calls. Soon after I started been extremely paranoid, I feared for life if that particular officer had to back me up. The department I worked for was majority African American from the Sheriff down, with a few white officers in there. I couldn’t understand why this majority black department was so scared to step on white toes, but was so willing to mistreat our black community and not stand with other black officers that had a voice. I soon left the department and law enforcement altogether. When I became a police officer my intention was to make the community I worked in safe. It was a slap in the face to know that some of the officers I worked with didn’t have the same intentions in mind.

The true question is, is this not supposed to be the exact set of punishment that should have been happening ALL ALONG when several black civilians have came up DEAD FROM WHITE OFFICERS AS WELL? The hypocrisy and double standard is ridiculous. These officers should have all gotten this SAME TREATMENT. And should ALL, NO MATTER SKIN COLOR get this treatment from now on. Not JUST making a public execution of black men in uniform, when its been happening at an ALARMING rate from white officers primarily and they were given OFF DUTY ON LEAVE. I agree with this whole heartedly. I’ve been in Memphis all of my life. I was not surprised at all that these officers are black. And, many other residents in Memphis are not shocked by this either. Many of the black cops here behave aggressively. We are more afraid of them. I don’t know why these officers were in Tyre’s neighborhood anyway because that’s not a high crime neighborhood.

Where's the outrage? Doesn't line up with the media pushed narrative I guess..

Got stopped by Texas hwy. Patrol. I was in my Vette. He yells at me. Hey, amigo, you speak English. I replied, state trooper, do you speak Swahili. Don't get smart with me. I told him we need your supervisor out here. He said I could go.

Always one punk ass, gotta spill that racist chit, even though all involved are black, even the damn chief. Always somebody else to blame. That right there is why that poor man is dead. Blacks cry that racist crap so much it's lost its power, and those black cops know it and were not worried. The boy who cried wolf. So every time a black person has screamed racism for no reason, knowing they were lying because you could and got away with it. Just killed that man. Just like Greg here.
