Great video dr. However, don't our cornary arteries get contracted/expanded with blood pressure etc. in that case, how does the stent move along with the arteries?

It is handy to know I can jump on a trampoline or go bungee jumping but I think I will give it a miss as I have severe arthritis in many parts of my body and it's hard enough to walk. I'm 76 and in poor health so I will give it a miss.😜

Any movement would happen shortly after the stent is implanted, usually within days or weeks of the procedure. This is extremely rare. This is also why you will see your cardiologist at least twice in the year after the operation. After 8 months to a year the stent becomes permanently embedded in the artery and can not move or be removed. After one year your visits to the cardiologist will be cut back to one per year for the rest of your life.

Thank you doctor. My father had 3 stents put in his leg & he's been asking to have them taken out. I didn't know what to tell him. We've been avoiding his Dr.
My father went in for foot pain & the Dr talked him into getting a stent in his calf. He got the stent then he developed a blood clot at the stent opening. Dad then had to be put in ICU & given a very dangerous clot buster & while they had him under they put in 2 more stents.
My father has always worn cowboy boots & he's 78yrs old. I'm pretty sure the boots were the cause of his foot pain. I was living in another state and didn't know what the Dr was doing to him.
They literally beat him up he was bruised from the arms down, all because of foot pain. That Dr has been calling trying to talk dad into getting a stent in his other leg. I said absolutely not, NO WAY they are NOT touching him again. Dad gave me power at attorney after that surgery so I could help him & ask questions from now on regarding his health because while all that was happening I kept trying to get answers as to WHY they were putting a stent in when dad didn't even have any blockages. He was fine as far a blockages or clots until they put that stent in him.
I'm disappointed in that Dr as I feel he's preying on the elderly. Wish I'd been in town sooner to stop it from happening.
Anyway dad of course still has the same foot pain so the stent did nothing to help that & now he's upset about the stents & said he just wants them out.
You've answered my question, thank you kindly for posting , you've saved us the cost of an office visit & a 160 mile drive as dad lives in a small town outside the city.

I have 3 stents the first one possibly was necessary the second and third was to help the hospital and doctors financial needs yes they made a lot of money but they lost my trust as I have read lots of the doctors records notes etc. it has become quite clear the purpose of these people a patient is just a crop that needs harvested .

No, when Stent is implanted it is deployed at high pressures and it's embedded in the walls of blood vessels.

@@akshaybabanagare3803 It's too late to remove your stent...Just throw away the drugs...your body will either form a new pathway around the stent or figure out a way to keep it isolated so it does not disturb the blood flow. Our bodies are miracles of Our Creator's design. Talk to your body , apologize for the intrusion and keep your mind positive and free from hate and negative thoughts and you will be fine.
I've seen comments put in by people with stents who just threw away the drugs and they are fine. The stent is not really a problem but the drugs and medications are what will kill your appetite first which will then weaken you and eventually you may or may not die...But death itself is in the hands of our Creator...and tiny metal stent will not affect you dangerously. There are many with 4 or 5 stents put in by rascal money minded doctors and the patients are still alive and functioning.
